You are assuming that the players who walked for nothing did so because of decisions taken by those at Ewood Park rather than back in India - I don't see justification for firing Waggott over decisions taken by Venkys.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph there was an argument between Mowbray and the Sunderland board after he told them that they would not be able to challenge for promotion to the Premier League unless they signed more experienced players rather than the younger players that the board favoured who could be part of a "development " programme to be sold on for profit. Mowbray finished above JDT last season by guiding Sunderland in to the playoffs and is currently above him again.
