  1. The comment - made within 15 minutes or so of his debut - was that he wasn't of the required standard, which seems to be writing him off.
  2. That is correct. On page 11 of this thread one poster - within a short period of the player coming on to the pitch - is telling us he is not up to the required standard.
  3. He's done a good job there. Any reason why he's going ?
  4. I think it's more that in discussing players too soon, some posters - or maybe one in particular - start trying to build a bandwagon that the person seen to be responsible for their signing should be dismissed.
  5. Szmodics is a good example of why rushing to judgement of players is not a good idea. This time last year there were many on here who were saying that we had had our trousers pulled down by Peterborough in signing him; now he is our talisman. Players should be given a fair chance to show their worth.
  6. This is not completely correct. Stoke did sell their ground to their owners to comply with FFP.
  7. Perhaps we are the first team they've played recently who are good enough to make them look poor.
  8. He gets abuse on here, and he got booed playing for England.
  9. Yes but the player at whom it was aimed gets so much unpleasant abuse, like getting booed by so called supporters, that I doubt it was tongue in cheek.
  10. There are several other players from the starting line up against Ukraine who are not starting tonight so I don't see how you have arrived at that conclusion.
  11. Given that the additional TV revenues that accrue from being in the Premier League are worth far more than any club assets that could be liquidated why would he want to prevent us being promoted if the objective is to recoup money ?
  12. He has a track record of playing a lot better for England than Man U.
  13. I think we are still the only club to have won a major trophy in each of the 3 centuries.
  14. Given that the attendance against Walsall was 6,173 and there are only 450 Harrogate tickets available it is impossible to argue with your mathematics.
  15. A very good win against the odds. I thought Hyam's marshalling of the defence made him man of the match.
  16. JDT doesn't get it - the "money" decisions are taken in India, not by Steve Waggott.
  17. Hardly. They are not going to be up against the best club team in the world, and the best goal scorer in the world, every week.
  18. Harrogate have done well to get to the EFL. Manager Simon Weaver is the longest serving manager in the league having been there since May 2009, although his length of service has been helped by the fact that his father is Chairman !
