  1. I reckon you know Sharpe and have a better contact than me. Please enlighten us with your knowledge and wisdom regarding Rovers-rumours.
  2. Just telling what I was told. Out of contract in the summer and huge potensial. Despite a bad window I actually think that bid (if true) shows ambition. Bit naive? Yes. But the worst you can get is a no.
  3. Den Haag backed out pretty early, KV Kortrijk was the leading club. They just ended up buying a player from Aalesund in Norway instead.
  4. For those who care: KV Kortrijk (Belgium) was the club closest to get Brereton. Came with a bid, but Rovers had no intensions to tell (don't know how much but far far from what we paid, so fair enough). They was still heavy into a loan and was willing to pay wages in full. Rovers on board aswell. (Don't know if Brereton was) But late in the window KV went in and got a permanent deal for a Pape Gueye from Aalesund in Norway instead.
  5. Some say I bullshit some actually belive me. Now that only a huge surprise will see any incomings ive been given a explaination by my contact. The information wasn't wrong, things just change sometimes. First of all he was 100% right about Lamptey and the developement there in yesterdays posts (the story broke today) and earlier today I gave a explaination about the Atsu-case and a few hours later it broke on the LT. What happened today? Many of these things I first got too know now, so don't shoot the messenger. First of all, like it or not, no matter what Tony have said about funds, Rovers was 100% sure they would get rid of some players, so they could balance both number of players and wages. Smallwood: Said no to a league one club early last week and was aiming for Sunderland who have shown interest a long time. A lot of people, including myself tought he turned them down today but it was actually Sunderland who suddently backed out of the deal. Why, I don't know. Chapman: Was offered to a bunch of League one and two teams. League two couldn't afford wages and two League one clubs took the bate. BUT in a back-up role and Chapman then decided to stay. Brereton: 4 (!) Clubs, none of them English, showed interest in a loan deal, nothing happened and don't know why. Mulgrew: Seattle Sounders was more than interested as soon as he came back but couldn't match the wages. Mulgrew wanted Rovers to pay him the difference - Rovers said no. Incomings: Lamptey: Was done deal, just some fees about reaching certain numbers of games. Negotiated for 2 weeks until Brighton came up with a insane bid. Atsu: Was of a while ago when Newcastle played hard to get and wanted full payment of wages. When other clubs said no, just like us, Rovers revisited the deal today but offered to pay the exact same as the bid the last time(!?). Matty Longstaff: We actually made a bid, Newcastle turned it down, said no chance. Tried to loan and negoiated but even the loan-fee ended up being too high.
  6. Im hooked aswell. Just telling what ive been told, for example Lamptey, my guy was 100 % right on that one. The story about Brighton broke the day after. The only issue I have with that is that that could have been a done deal a week ago. If Mowbray would have said "Yes, we will pay you this small fee if he doesn't play a certain numbers of games " He would be in our squad now. Matter of principal by Mowbray but not a good negotiation-plan
  7. The Atsu-deal has been of for a while with Newcastle confident a club would take his wages. But clubs seems to be doing a Rovers and refusing to pay the whole salary. Rovers have come with an offer of what they can offer and it's all up to Newcastle. The only thing thats weird is that this offer seem to be exactly the same offer Newcastle turned down a few weeks ago. So it appears that Rovers have offer the max of what the can right away. As an option they could offer loan with option to buy, but Mowbray will prefer to wait because of the price.
  8. To the people who can't stand comments from the likes of me: Close your eyes or be gentle. Haven't heard from him for several hours but he just texted me: "Outgoings: If so, you wouldn't bother Incomings: Even I been told to wait in line, thats for certain a sign something unexpected WILL happen"
  9. At first yes, then I came back with new info later on. Exactly the info that broke thru today. But fair to have that opinion and the pissing-contest is stopping now??
  10. Press me for names? Im sorry Mr. Officier, can you tell me if the good cop is on his way? Haha I was a bit frustrated by your comments but that one actually made me laugh. Not "haha" with a smile but I was actually laughing. Im a family-man who happens to be "lucky" and have a guy i know in the football-game who again happens to know a thing or two about the club Im a fan of. And you, a guy a don't know is talking about "pressing me for names". Wow ?
  11. Freeman has a lot of options but Mowbray style would suit him well.. Fingers crossed??
  12. From LT: "Suggestions are in the north east are that Atsu is on £30,000 a week. Rovers wouldn't be able to get anywhere near that, so any possible deal would need some heavy negotation on that."
  13. Best right back in the country? Who are you talking about? Good move by the way, the Atsu comment didnt go home, so you try a new one.
  14. No, you are twisting my words. Yesterday I said we had a loan deal lined up 100% for a player- just negotiaton about the fee regarding playing a certain amount of games. Not a big deal but something needed to be sorted. A few hours later I put out that another club had came in with a ridiculousy high bid - not loan. And that the selling club would consider that instead. Today, that story broke didnt it?? Then you going on about Atsu. I just commented on a post about Atsu. I never claimed to broke the news about him because that name have come up several times before. What a did say that Ive been told is that his wages is really high and Rovers wouldnt be able to pay his wages. And by time more clubs have come along and Newcastle have demanded even more of his wages paid then they told Rovers. Therefore that deal has been off for a good time now. That information, as far I know, has not come out yet, and therefore I just said it when his name popped up again. So next time you want to twist my words make sure you twist them right.
