  1. Jack Ross is quite unpopular with Hibees and I don’t think it would take much pushing to get rid of him.  Presume this is an attempt to fleece the club but they don’t have much cash so hopefully it will fail.

if anyone has an old “ Kean Out” banner they could send me I’ll get myself down to their U21 games and display it.

  2. Whatever your views on Celtic and Rangers it is clear that they are huge clubs.  When people say they would struggle to get into the EPL it makes me laugh.  Clearly they would at the moment because they earn about 1% of what English clubs earn from TV.  Even most Championship clubs earn far more than they do unless they get into the Champions League proper.  If they were on a level playing field they would be amongst the top 5 or 6 clubs in the UK in terms of income and following and there's no reason to think they wouldn't be successful.  Each club have a massive support both at home and overseas and in this respect they dwarf City, Chelsea, Spurs or any other of the EPL teams about from maybe 3 or 4.

Not going to happen though I don't think.

    In the interest of nostalgia.

My dads mate had been going to Ewood since the early 60's, home and away, even went to the reserve away matches for a period of time, a real dyed in the wool Rover.

I've looked up the dates and game, it was 1985, he was given a bit of a kicking on the way home from Ewood by some away fans on the Saturday, ended up in hospital, fracture to his ankle.

Rovers we due to play Crystal Palace at home on the Tuesday night, not want to miss the match he signed himself out of hospital against advice of hospital staff, and hobbled down to Ewood for the game. He endured 90 minutes of agony off the pitch, only surpassed by the agony on the pitch as Ian Miller spent 90 minutes lumping high crosses into the box for a Garner, which actually landed on the head of 6' 4" hardman Mickey Droys head, Garner never got near.

We lost 1-0 and he never went to Ewood again after that.

He was at the Halifax game above, as was my dad and the usual rabble.

Sadly Dave is suffering from dementia after a stoke, but this story puts me in mind of him and his current struggles, I wish him all the best.

Ha, I remember the Palace game.  It was Droy that got the winner and when he scored he stood and roared.  It was another petering out promotion challenge.

  4. The frustrating thing for me is that the club claim to have a scouting network and yet everytime we go in for a player it turns out that Mowbray knows him from a previous club.  What do these scouts do as they certainly don't produce any new players.

Personally I'm all in favour of not spending big if we can't afford it but if you have the right scouting in place that doesn't stop you from getting good players in who can make a difference.  plenty of others have done it in recent years. We seem, to be unable to make any moves in the market and this is presumably cos we're only identifying players who other clubs are after as well  .

I haven't seen it. If it's on video I'd be more than happy to add it to the collection.

It’s on YouTube.  You might not enjoy it as much as I do but honestly the quality of our 5 goals is fantastic.  See what you think and let us know.
