  1. I find it amazing that so many people assume wealth should equate to happiness... It's just totally not the case unfortunately soceity has made us all into capital materialists... 50 yrs ago success was respect due to ethical values...
  2. Just feels like such a waste... Such a tragedy especially for his family... Feel completely gutted for them May God Bless them all
  3. Had never met him.. But clearly a man many of us can learn from God bless Yr soul sir
  4. Ideal (and realistic) team for next season: Friedel Neill Nelson Todd Johansson Reid Savage Parker MGP Bellamy Stead Subs: Enckellmen Spektor Mokoena Emerton Dickov Remember guys we only have £5 million, which by the looks of it will get us Bellamy only (as he is doing so well with Celtic). Think the others should be loan deals, biggest let down so far in my opinion has been Thompson, this lad should be in the england squad, what has happened to him???
  5. only watched the highlights guys so not a precise opinion, but from what i saw i thot neill was awful, looked like he jus cudn be bothered!!!!! the chelsea and boro goals where both his fault in my opinion???? I would play 4-4-2 at home: Friedel nelson Todd Mokoena Nissa Emerton Savage Thompson MPG Dickov Johnson/Stead I think Tommo will come good if not, put Flitty in. Away would have 4-1-4-1, with flitty playing in fornt of the back four (I think Mokoena was very impressive against chelsea in this role, but we need a settled back 4) and dickov or jemal up front.
  6. savage and thommo centre mid - miles more energy...
  7. Guys, How was mokoenas performance on the weekend... ?
  8. Could not have summed it up better myself John I completely agree, oh and about the fans, are we creating fans by offering youngsters special rates, maybe arranging school patnerships, we probably are... am not sure just posing the question???
  9. I can understand you using that analagy with the club but not with the manager, am a bit worried you see souness as a girlfreind or lover??????? you need help if that the case???? Souness did a JOB over a period of time, and then moved on... Get over it!! My point is that we can all find problems over detail but the bigger picture is: 1 - He got us into the prem league 2 - We won us the Worthington cup 3 - WE are still in the prem league not div 1 when he left!!!!!!
  10. Football fans have very short memories, over the course of Souness time with the club he was very successful. Look at our recent history last 20-30 years and you will agree! (Aside from the KD era). I think he had taken the club as far as he could have done and it was a blessing in disguise that Newcastle came in for him and we ended up with a btter manager. I think the reception he recieved from us on Boxing day was atrocious, I am gonna offend a few on this forum now, but why is it that former successful managers / players at other clubs (not all but alot) get decent receptions yet unless you are a 'Blackburn' lad you are gonna struggle to get any kind of decent reception!! Is it our small town small mind outlook on life!?!?!? Sorry if I offend anyone but I think we should have shown a bit more respect for the man...
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong but my thoughts where that we seemed to loose our impetous each time we levelled as tho consciously we thought a draw was OK??? A draw is NOT OK!!! As has been said we need to convert to wins, I think we are deffo heading in the right direction and speaking to some geordies on the way out, "we have the best manager"... still dissapointed to see Souness get bood tho...
