    New Rule Needed

  3. I noticed that when I read the article Dillo, crap local journalism at it's best.
  4. I completely agree with you A-Mu. If England do nothing at the WC it's got feckall to do with Rooney not being there,if they fail they fail,it's as simple as that.
  5. Did Man Utd sleep with your wife or something? You're obsessed.
  6. Because it's always tended to be frowned upon by the British, and rightly so. But your spot on with the point you make, because if it costs us dearly in the WC finals we'll all be mightily pi$$ed off.
  7. I like Ian Wright too, passionate about England when he was playing, still passionate now, makes him a great pundit IMO,a bit excitable, takes away from the stuffiness of some of the others. I was a bit uncomfortable with what he said tonight I must admit but I don't think he was saying he liked cheating just that other teams do it so why shouldn't we. As for the penalty there was no contact, he dived out of the way of a bad challenge. And despite Wright's comments I'm still rooting for England.
  8. Think it might be the back of Lindley St ,near Millhill pub,not 100% on that.
  9. Dillo, some great pictures but that is the best one of the lot for me,fantastic stuff, amazing how you capture the light.
  10. Yes Brad has retired from international football
  11. Totally agree Eddie,I see Chelsea's acheivments as nothing like when we won it. We were a small town team going nowhere, and we came from nowhere to win it,Chelsea were already in the mix with the "top" clubs. I don't think you can buy the league, but money is obviously the greatest tool more than ever these days.
  12. They should keep the bar open till full time,it'll do a roaring trade second half now.
  13. I remember the clubs did do a deal for both legs,20 quid a ticket with free transport for away fans I think...
  14. Dave,I agree! Sky/the fa/clubs have every right to complain, all I'm saying is people grassing on landlords aint right IMO. I wouldn't grass on my neighbour for downloading music, but I don't blame record companies/musicians for being pisd off about it. I wonder how many people on here suggesting informing the authorities have got a nice illegal file sharing programme installed on their pc?
  15. cletus-andyrovers beat you to it and I'd take that little bloke out yer sig when mentioning the Stage Door if I were you
  16. I tried several times to re-word it then gave up,back door, rear entrance, never mind eh Seriously though, grassing on a landlord for showing games is like grassing on someone for downloading music, everyone knows it's wrong but you just don't do it,local pubs are part of the community,I'd much rather they stopped doing it due to threat of prosecution. It is wrong and shouldn't be happening, though I seriously doubt it's a huge reason for declining crowds,if it stops people will just glance at the screen now and again to check the score. Some people on here are looking at it through blue and white tinted specs,it's hardly crime of the century.
  17. I said somewhere else on here that fans grassing up their local landlord wasn't a great idea,if they have had a "friendly warning" letter thats good,if they haven't got the sense to stop showing games after that they should get the book thrown at them,no sympathy whatsoever. ....although don't be surprised to see pub doors locked on a sat afternoon matchday now, locals only, back door entry...
  18. I'd say no Den,too much of a grey area between deliberate and not, leading to questionable bookings. Only if it's blatant IMO.
  19. Tris-I know it's illegal and I wish it wasn't happening, but if there are two pubs on the road and only one is showing the game then one pub will be full the other will not,the landlord with the empty pub then decides to start showing games, whether it's illegal or not that's a business decision. I agree it needs to be stamped down on,but people aren't gonna start reporting the landlord of their local pub, well I wouldn't anyway,it has to be a full clampdown on all pubs or block the signal if that can be done.
  20. Eddie, that wouldn't go down well in the pubs of Blackburn,seriously... You'd get bloody lynched. You can't blame the landlord,if one boozer does it then the one down the road will as well,if only one pub in town had the game on that's were everyone will go,landlords are businessmen at the end of the day.
