  1. Haven't posted for some time. The last two games have been an shocking. I can and have put up with a number of defeats over the years, but I have to say this team has no commitment or ability to play this tip tap football, that JDT favours. Sadly I believe that JDT is too set in his ways and doesn't have a plan B. If he cant change tactic or the players then his days are numbered.

  3. Stuarts daughter Lauren, has asked for the following to be shared. ?????? ???????? - Our dad’s funeral. ???? ?????? Please share far and wide!! ❤️ We would just like to say a huge thank you for everyone’s messages, cards and endless flowers. It’s meant so much at this awful time. Unfortunately with the way things are at the moment we can’t give my dad the send off we would have liked but my god we are going to give it our best shot! The service is being held at Pleasington Cemetery & Crematorium. (???? ??????) Leaving Alty’s funeral home at 1:30pm, followed by a drive through Blackburn Rovers grounds at 2pm and 2:15 at the crematorium for the service. Sadly we can only have 22 inside the chapel for the service, however the cars will be driving past Blackburn Rovers at 2pm so we would kindly ask those that want to line the streets to pay your respects for any people that knew my dad or just supported him with the football, we would love that and so would my dad. Other option for people is to socially distance around the crematorium grounds, as there are speakers outside the chapel so you can follow and listen along to the service. As long as we abide by the social distancing rules we are following regulations. We will also be live streaming the funeral service for those that want to watch or can’t attend. My dad always liked to dress smart for any occasion, even if he was going to the rovers he used to get his suit and tie on. So the dress code for those who want to is suited & booted. Or you can wear your Blackburn Rovers shirts to support dad’s football career with them. Anyone who would like to follow the cars through the town is welcome to. Can I also ask anyone that has any pictures of my dad to share them on the day across all social media! Also if you could send me them personally. If anyone has any questions, please don’t hesitate to message. ?????? ?????/?????? ??? ??????? ?? ?????? ??? ?????’? ???? ?????? ?????. ?? ???? ?? ???? ?? ??? ??? ???????? ???? ??? ‘?????’? ???? ??? ?????? ????????’

  7. Been on BRFCS since I dont know when and know / met one or two of its members. For quite a few years I virtually kept the news section of this site running on my own, until changing my day job restricted my access to the site. Used to be the Rovers correspondent for Soccernet until the day job resticted the time available to sit down and write articles. Started supporting Rovers in 1975 when I moved to the area, and didnt miss home games for years, even when I moved down to the Midlands. Those mid-week midnight trips back down the M6 after a defeat took hours but after a win they only seemed to take minutes. Moved back north 5 years ago but due to work commitments and current management structure didnt buy a season ticket this year for the first time since when I cant remember. Have become a walk on supporter, trouble is I havent found the need or desire to walk on at all this season. Best momemt memory as a supporter - getting a phone call one afternoon - first words I heard was. Hi Al, its Tim are you free to have a chat this afternoon - which resulted in a long and candide interview with Mr Bottle himself. Tim Flowers Interview
  8. My holiday reading these days seems to be - B & Q and Wicks catalogues
  9. Watching games this season in the premiership I tend to wonder if they have been planned by the same people who script WWE.
  10. Well my method of resolving the problem. (Dont try this at home children, unless you are confident of your DIY ability) Cut and Remove the 20mm upvc consensate overflow on the outside of the property, leave about 150mm where it exits the house. Replace with a 40mm upvc waste pipe and fit a 20/40mm rubber reducer into the 40mm waste pipe. Slide the 20mm overflow into the 40mm waste and secure the 40mm waste to your external wall. Use push fit, fittings- this allows you to slide the pipe apart if it still frezes, allowing you to pour a kettle of boiling water down the pipe. Wrap the exposed pipe with lagging if you can get it. Still available in Morecambe on Christmas Eve 33
  11. It was so cold last night, that the condensate discharge pipe on my boiler froze. Ive had to dismantle the pipework and remove the build up of ice from the pipe, in order to get the boiler started. Anyone else experienced this problem on a condensate boiler.
