  1. Ian Pearce Matt Jansen Chris sutton - but only if someone else wrote it for him based on what he said - not thinking he is that bright!
  2. How bad are they the fact they need to be password protected?
  3. Dont know if this is the right topic but Ill post it here anyway! At the end of last season I went into sports world and they were selling off all of last seasons kits at £2.50. So i bought one to fit the class teddy bear (I work in the heart of Birmingham and so all the kids are blue noses!) Anyway after the initial face puling the children took on board the ROvers kit and actually chose to dress the teddy in the kit to take her out to play at playtime. Each weekend different children take this said teddy home to look after. One little ****** decided he wanted the kit for his bear and did not bring it back. I have tried and tried to get the kit back and Mum just says it is missing! If anyone goes near the shop and they happen to have any left can you let me know please. know it is a long shot but you cant fault me for trying to spread the word! You need to be quick before someone buys her a Brummy kit! or worse still a villa one! Thanks Hannah
  4. I am currently with Tescos with Dialup at a cost of 10.99 a month - I have been looking at broadband for a while now and I dont get all the different deals etc and its all a bit confusing! I dont download anything majorly all i do is surf the web but since we got broadband at work its too slow at home. Don't want a package that includes my phone line and calls just broadband - any ideas?
  5. We went to watch greyhound racing in Coventry for my birthday this year. It was a cracking night out. We had a meal whilst watching the races and someone came to our table to take all our bets. Didnt win on a single race all night but that didnt really matter as it was a laugh. Would certainly recommend it. We are planning to do it again soon.
  6. Probably missing some sarcasim or humour or just being rubbish at maths but doesnt that mean you must be well over a 100???
  7. That was the first game in ages that I have been to and despite the result I really enjoyed myself. Feels like I have been bitten by the bug again. The atmosphere was cracking and there were loads of songs that I hadn't heard before, nice to see different songs being sung and loads of people joining in. (Even come home with no voice) It wasn't a cracking match but there were some moments that made me remember why I love going to watch them. It looked like there was some passion back amongst the team. It didn't all look so hopeless. Today's game was a close one to home for me but I wouldnt have objected to driving a 200 mile round trip to see that game tonight. Games at the start of the season made me question the amount of money/ time/ energy i was spending on them. We might have lost but we are higher in the table than i ever could have imagined possible this year. Only problem is the amount of abuse I will get off the children at work on Monday! That's the problem teaching in Birmingham! Can't wait for the City game now.
  8. SOmeone kept yelling at Crossley - Does your Dad pick the team, Is that why you are playing? Even Crossley raised a smile at that!
  9. What about at Anfield when McAteer was stretchered off with a broken leg while he was still a Liverpool player. I seem to remember the Rovers fans singing wash and go, wash and go. Not entirely sympathetic!!! Feel really sorry for Smith. Dont care what he has done in the past no one deserves an injury, especially one like that.
  10. I've decided to make the trek up the M6 after work for this game so it had better be good. I think Man Utd have the potential to really turn on the style and score loads past us but thats just me, prophet of doom! Really hope we do win though or it will be a long journey home.
  11. I'd buy a season ticket if they designed some sort or weekend season ticket i.e. it only includes matches on a saturday and a sunday (If that wasn't obvious!) Otherwise it isn't worth buying one as I miss too many games
  12. The words Abbey failed to mention was battered to a pulp by a girl!
  13. This has just turned into a slanging match and quite honestly it is pathetic. People at football matches should be allowed to sing what they want be it about the opposition, burnley, man utd or heaven forbid supporting rovers! But there is a line and several of the drunken group crossed that line yesterday forcing several fans to have to move. This is not about stopping people 'supporting' their team it is about reaching a compromise so that everyone can enjoy themselves. Several people went home yesterday having not enjoyed the game due to a small minority of people who were drunk. It is not about how much you earn, how many GCSE's you got, it is about manners and common sense. Invisible man you said that you spent 70 on the game yesterday, so did many other people what makes you £70 better than mine? Why did you have the right to enjoy yourself at the expense of others? Think about others around you. One poor chap almost fell down the stairs yesterday due to being pushed by a drunken lad who was oblivious to the chaos that he had caused. I am all for singing and supporting your team but perhaps sing something others can join in with and maybe people will join in!
  14. Totally agree. Although they didn't bother me they had obviously upset several people around them who moved away (several who were players friends and family) I have no objection to people drinking before a game but when they spoil it for other people it is unacceptable.
  15. Hello, I know I haven't posted for a while but who else would I ask for a bit of consumer advice when wanting to puchase a laptop! I have had a laptop for the past 18 months but when I left my job they made me give it them back (unlucky!) I have just found out that in my new school I won't be getting one so I am looking to buy one. The computer I have curently got is out dated and slow. I need a laptop due to lack of space and needing to take it back and forth to school. I am basically going to want to use it for the internet, word, excel, powerpoint and lots of clip art sign makingstuff. So go on then! What do i need to buy? What "spec" should I be looking for? How much should i be looking to spend? Where can I get it from? I may have just got promotion and be able to blag it in the classroom but true to most teachers, since qualifying I seem to have lost all ability to use and have any knowledge of technology! (You all remember the lessons where the teacher couldn't make the tv work cos she hadn't plugged it in!)
  16. I'll be coming to the match. This season I had stopped coming up for midweek games dues to staff meetings on a Tuesday, distance, cost etc, etc. but i wasn't going to miss this game for anything. Missing the staff meeting and driving up and back down in the same night as I can't just book days off. Not surprised only disappointed by the ticket sales. Should be a wicked night.JUst hope my sore throat has disappeared by then.
  17. Never one to disappoint! I'm far too busy to post anymore! I have to work now! What sort of attendance are we looking at? With that line up surely all the fans will come out of the woodwork, won't they?
  18. Wasn't going to create waves at work by asking to miss a staff meeting but now you have said Pearce will be there, there is no way I am missing this game!! Listen for the fireworks tomorrow!!!! Should be a cracking match! I'm so excited!!!!!!
  19. I thought Wilcox was out with a cruciate knee ligament injury at the moment.
  20. Is the match all ticket or will i be able to pay on the gate? Won't know if i can make it until the day of the game.
  21. Does "Matt's had a few problems this season" refer to his injuries or something else? I'm gutted for him that he won't be able to stay on but accept that Rovers are not a charity so he cant. Maybe go into coaching?
  22. Can't believe there will be a replay, Anyone think that both sides actually wanted that? Think of the money that it is going to generate!!! (Might be being cynical!) I've got to go into school and beg to be allowed to go to the replay as we have staff meetings on a Tuesday! What a nightmare, bet the cow won't let me go. Having watched it with my girly friends (apparently we have no good looking players!) thought there were a couple of anonomous players today but on the hole we did alright. Bring on the replay, think that will be a very different game!
  23. I don't think beating Coventry is anything to be proud of! From what I heard about their performance on Saturday our school kids team would have given Burnley more of a run for their money!
  24. I'd like to ask how you know this, but experience tells me not to even go there! No-one is taking any photo, so no it isn't worth an arguement! Try Debs?
  25. Why me? There are loads of men at rovers with bigger 'paps' than me!
