v Millwall (h) - 8/3/22
chaddyrovers replied to Uddersfelt Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We were good in spells and had we taken our chances would have the game. We have to agree to disagree on Millwall's approach to the game. far too defensive for me. Also given that Jed Wallace is regarding by EFL pundits as one of the best players in championship where was he last night. Rovers stop him having such an influence on the game But playing the false 9 was one of the reasons why would Mowbray change it in his mindset? I do think you make a good suggestion on how the front 3 should play from now on. Reading and listening to Mowbray's comments about Dack today, its sounds like Dack isn't really going to be ready match fit this season and is going to struggle to play the closing down of opposition defence. Mowbray left his subs including Jack Vale for too long and late. Mowbray should have gone 4 at the back(as @glen9mullansuggested tho I would got a different way) after 60/65 mins after we didn't score after good spell in the 1st 15 of the second half. risk losing the point for 3. Yes I have faith in Vale more than you do. I also wouldn't have taken Buckley off. He was pulling the strings that why Rowett change it at half time and then again 10/15 mins into the second half. -
More conspiracy theories there form yourself. We know that we made a 1.5 million for Dembele and we held talks with him. We also had 1.5 million bid for Styles accepted. Both in the public domain we don't play with main striker in the current formation. its that system that got us into top 6 and even a chance of playoffs.

We created some excellent chances to score and we failed to convert them. We never allowed the Millwall into the game as attacking force. Did Jed Wallace play yesterday? cos as he is regarding as one of the best players in the championship and we gave zero influence on the game. Also the game as pieces of quality in the game Millwall was so organsied they allow us 4 very good games to score? If you was a Millwall Fan you be more than content with yesterday's performance seriously? offered zero attacking intent, poor performance by them. We made them look so poor -

Millwall were awful and show no ambition to even score.. We change our formation and starting keeping clean sheets and winning games after Fulham defeat -

Felt sorry for the Millwall fans who travelled all that way for nothing to watch. They looked a poor quality team and God knows how they won 5 games on bounce. Rowett went 5 at the back at start of the game then changed to 4 at half time only to go back very defensive 10 mins into the second half to a 5 -

Yes That's a fair point you about the LCCC headquarters being in Manchester but should it be tho. Interesting discussion for the cricket thread in the future. -

Rovers should have won tonight. More than enough chances first half to win the game. Rankin Costello, Buckley, Gallagher and Lenihan had chances were we should score. After the 1st 15 mins in the second half thought we were very flat and subs were made too late for me. Defensive we were solid and we never allowed Millwall to be attacking force. They didn't even had a shot on goal. Its feels like 2 points dropped tonight. Still 4th so let's win the game on Saturday at home. Come On You Blues!🔵⚪ -

Bolton is in Greater Manchester and has been for nearly 50 years -
I fully understand that but Chile aren't going to risk on injured players when facing Brazil. They need 11 fit players against them. We have to see how it play out but I think Common sense will be seen here

Bolton isn't in Lancashire firstly. Preston and Blackpool aren't derbies to me. I have friends who support either club and none of us think of them as derbies. -

I don't see Blackpool or Preston has derbies where has with the dingles I do. -
FIFA rules means they can ban him from playing for us and that the problem with the international football calendar and how is favours the nations not clubs
-
I can fully understand why Chile want Brereton to be fit and ability to play in both games but I don't see them taking any risk with his fitness. Brereton is a key player for them so I can't see why they want to play and be part of the playing squad but hopefully if the first game result in a lost then hopefully they sent him back here. If I was Rovers, I would sending one of our physio over to monitor the situation and related all information back to Rovers Also its time FIFA stop having international fixtures again in March. The international football calendar need reviewing in my opinion.

If he has to miss one game then so be it so make sure he is fit for the next 3 games before the international break. We have 4 games to play before the 2 weeks break I wouldn't myself for this game given but you could start Hedges and move Giles to left wing back to put crosses in for Gallagher, Dolan, etc. Maybe Mowbray might do that -
