  1. cos Conner Roberts the Leeds right back got his foot in front of Dolan's foot
  2. Yes Hyam had a very poor against Bristol City granted but more than prove his worth again yesterday on Dolan, he would be one of the first names on the team sheet. Similar opinion to what ParsonBlue posted yesterday on him McFadzean could be option depending on the budget and what Eustace and GB can do in the transfer market
  3. either loan or permanent. He needs to play regular football
  4. Eustace had impressed at Birmingham earlier this season before his controversial sacking, and Rovers were confident he was the right man for the job. Broughton continued: “My role then was to present the board of directors with a list. It is something we had been working on – and I have been quite open about it - for the previous 12 months. “You have to highlight the risks, strengths and weaknesses of anybody who sits on that list. “My job, when John Eustace comes into the post on the back of that, is to support him as best as possible, as I did with Jon Dahl previously.” Rovers still have work to do heading into the final eight games of the Championship season as they aim to pull away from the relegation zone. Broughton explained: “If you go back to where (Eustace) started at Kidderminster Harriers, they were very open and knows as the ‘Barcelona of non-league football’ in terms of some of their attacking play. “You also saw at Birmingham last year that all of their players were either under 21 or over 28, they had very few players in that middle section. He also left the club in the play-off positions. “Some of the headline data might not suggest that is the perfect match but when you scratch beneath the surface and do the research, there is a lot of alignment with the way we want to do things. “The head coach needs the opportunity to get on the grass and implement his style of play. In John’s first five weeks here, we had double gameweeks because of our success in the FA Cup. “This is the first extended period where he has been on the grass with the players, but I think he will need the rest of the season and pre-season as well for him to be able to put his slant on our game model.”
  5. Cos he look after his fitness and body plus plays his heart on his sleeve and for the fans, team mates and Head coach
  6. Why is the question marks over Hyam and Dolan? McFadzean is only 37 and will be 38 in February. I think the striker signing will be interesting to see what type of striker we need whether its striker who is target man or more of striker with pace who can press from the front.
  7. I don't see why we need 2 centre midfielders when you got JRC, Tronstad, Buckley, Travis and maybe Garrett.
  8. GB outlined in his recent interview how we appoint Eustace
  9. do we need alot of signings this summer? Current squad for next season keepers - Pears, Wahlstedt, Michalski Defenders - Brittain, Carter, Hyam, Wharton, O'Riordan, Pickering, CM's - Tronstad, Garrett, Buckley, JRC, Travis wide players - Dolan, Markanday, Sigurdsson, Hedges, no 10 - Szmodics, Gilsenan Strikers - Gallagher, Vale, Telalovic, Leonard I have included Dolan and Gallagher cos I expect them to sign next contract. I think we deffo need a pacey wide player, Striker, right back, maybe another Keeper if we loan out Wahlstedt for a season, I would use Gent at left back back up given the reviews he had there, could do with another centre back or maybe re sign McFadzean for another season. Then a replacement for Szmodics if he does leave. Nicholas Michalski?
  10. Surely it was GB who give the board of directors which was probably Waggott, Pasha(unofficially), Silvester and Cheston to decide which way they went to replace JDT. I think Eustace was the best candidate out there not in work we could have got. (don't have any knowledge of foreign head coaches who haven't worked in English football)
  11. I would be tempted to start with the same 11 if possible but play more attacking wise.
  12. watched it this morning and I just think where can you go now with both keepers who has been dropped this season. He dropped Muric at the start of the season and recently dropped Trafford. I wonder if they change tactics next season when they are in the championship
  13. Batty has clearly backwards this season and clearly not ready for first team squad duties. Maybe he needs a fresh start and first team football next season
  14. Stockport and Wrexham promoted from league 2 to league 1
  15. Yes fair point there. Maybe he had doubts after we signed Sigurdsson whether he would play much this season. Reason for the delay maybe
  16. I think we will see a very different team under Eustace next season after a full pre season, bringing in his own players and shaping his own squad. exactly and a point I made several times on here allowing him some time to get his ideas into the players. I agree. I am still buzzing and smiley big after yesterday good performance, winning at Leeds and another clean sheet.
  17. as GB said in his interview that there is a contract offer on the table for Dolan to re-sign here. Dolan has been waiting to see what division we would be in before committed his future here but I expect he will re-sign here
  18. Maybe Batty hasn't got a chance cos he got too big for his boots and got an attitude problem which has stopped his development. Him storming off the pitch when subbed in the last under 21's game will do nothing for him
  19. I guess they will wait to see what division we are in. With the new TV deal coming in which guarantee championship clubs more money each season, I would use £1m of it to lower the cost of ST and match day prices. Already stated what I would charge for ST and match day prices. It should be about selling 12k season ticket and making it more affordable to families and people on low incomes next season.
  20. It will be very interesting how GB and Eustace reshaped this squad and it is clear what I think we need going forward. A quality striker, wide player with pace, right back to back up Brittain, possible replacement for Szmodics plus anyone else we lose. Gent will be back up for Pickering at left back/wing back
  21. great to see you praise Eustace for the win at Leeds. Well done sir I agree that some of the flak and comments about Eustace has been OTT and disproportionate. It was clear that Eustace needed to fix the defence and stop us leaking goals after goals. He had to steadied the ship and pick up points. He has done that. At times it hasn't been good watch and yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed how we defended as a team, put our bodies on the line and look to play on the counter. It was great seeing Leeds fans moan and complain yesterday I think some fans took him and some didn't. There is a guy who sits in front who never took to him and still wants Mowbray back. I think some fans didn't like JDT's style of football and didn't enjoy play that way.
  22. He deserved huge credit and praise for today's victory as do the players for executing his plan for the match.
  23. no Abbey. Don't do anything like that either and never have. Don't need any of that stuff in my body. time to admit you were wrong about Rovers, Hyam and Eustace today after our win at Leeds today
