Is Sky £30 a month all in including the Sports package?

£30 for the Sports package for my package. I haven't posted what I paid overall for my Sky, Netflix and Disney plus package which is all in one for me. I think its bargain considering what is included and given that there is something for everything there who lived in my house

A new Sky Customers could get Sky Q and Sports for £51.

Tell you what I give you a load of stick when I think you are wrong but think you are spot on on this one.

Incidentally my first football game on the computer (Amiga which shows my age) had a European super league mode. Interestingly no more than 2 teams per league and there were a lot of good European teams who wouldn't get near the CL quarters now - Malmo, Bordeux and Benfica to name three.

    thanks alot.

I totally understand your point. The Champions League isn't right cos is very biased towards the bigger clubs from big 4 countries

    Shouldn't bother you , you don't have btsport .

Had the same opinion for years well before TNT Sports had the UEFA TV rights. 👍

If those teams played regularly in the champions league, they’d absolutely improve, playing against better teams.

It just can’t be right that teams can be the literal champions, but have to qualify.

also attract better players by reaching further in the competition meaning more money for them

Definitely do; takeaway choices, eat out choices, tv subscriptions, soft drink choices, butchers, the cut down on the booze.

You need a ‘diary of a season’, like Big Al’s in ‘95.

no thanks Matty but nice idea 👍

there's no hope when people big up rip off Britain. So chaddy you've done dodgy things in the past but why moan at folk doing what you did in the past . Stinks of hypocrisy. There was a thing on nfluk ( i think) a year or so ago and they broke down if you wanted to watch hings legally including sport from other countries and to do it it legit it worked out at something like 2 grand a month . You must have a good job chaddy lad . Sky on its is own is a rip off and then if you want footy you need sky , amazon and BT. (I'm shitty at maths but what does that work out at ?

I don't have BT Sport Abbey.

I paid £30 a month for Sky Sports Abbey plus £8 for amazon prime. Bargain in my opinion. Loads of footy, cricket, F1 to watch.

Even without Prime and BT, just the sky sports packages are extortionately priced. How anyone can claim they are value for money is crazy. Flawed logic just saying well actually I want to watch the sport, that doesnt justify the prices. And clearly many wont or cant pay those prices hence why so many are forced to stream.

It's £30 per month. Think about much spend on a night out or meal out. It's £50 for you and your partner somewhere decent. If you think 30 pounds a month is alot given loads of football, cricket and couple of F1 race a month then I give up with you

How anyone can justify the extortionate Sky prices is beyond me. That is a big factor in streaming being so common now, Sky have made it unaffordable to watch sport for many people.

Depends on the person surely. Given that I am massively Football fan, cricket fan, watch F1 race throughout the season plus others things Sky offered

Those prices will likely only go up, inconvenience to matchday going fans will go up with even more games moved, attendances will go down, ticket prices will go up, wages will go up, who is winning here?

But one massive point you missed is that EFL and its clubs wanted more money for TV rights, so it was clearly more games needed to go TV.

Rovers should used some of the money from the new TV deal to lower ST prices and Match day prices.

  8. It's should be just the Champions of each of country in the champions league with it being knockout format from the start like the 70's and 80's. The clubs from small playing nations in the champions league faced a massive disadvantage year after year. Teams like Legia Warsaw and BSC Young Boys are always at disadvantage

Probably so in past, currently deffo not.

With the cost of Sky, it’s absolutely no wonder so many people are sourcing games illegally.

It definitely won’t get any cheaper either, with the new TV deal.

Sky offered a vast variety of different types of programs and sporting events plus loads and loads of different types of movies. Personally I think it deffo worth of the money given the amount of quality sport they coverage whether its PL, EFL, F1, cricket, golf, plus the range of movies and Tv shows they have.

Sky have invested in EFL and its competitions for the long term

    But we are off topic.

The point is iFollow, and it’s knock on effect with IPTV and dodgy online streams, has always been a hinderance to Rovers attendances but the UK side of the service probably made it financially worth it. If it is just “abroad only”, clubs like ours could probably be better off financially not doing it at all, as it will increase home attendances.

    fair enough

  11. 1 hour ago, Hasta said:

By streaming it overseas, that allows it to be watched on IPTV in the UK, and IMO affects attendances. For the small amount they make, it will cost them more in gate receipts.

so go after the people illegal streaming it and watching it illegal in the UK.

  12. I would be looking at Joe Taylor who is striker on loan at Lincoln from Luton. He scored goals at league 1 level since January and league 2 in the first part of the season. He would probably cost £2m. His finishing reminds me of Jordan Rhodes tbh

Because JRC has played his best football for us as a right back, Buckley has never quite managed to do what he teased he might and Garrett is not good enough.

for me, I much prefer JRC in centre midfield role and think him and Tronstad are a good partnership in there.

If Szmodics does leave, I actually think Markanday will be ahead of Dolan for the central role, with Sigurdsson being first choice.

The ITV show started off like they gave a shit, not as good as the Colin Murray show, largely because you could tell he actually cared about the football pyramid unlike the fella from talksport they now use.

However, now they don’t even bother with guests or a studio… presumably because they are soon out of contract with the EFL and won’t be renewing it - BBQ! (Bring Back Quest)

They don't have guests or Studio down to cost and running it as low cost show.

Sky would be better doing it and having a proper highlights with guests and interviews with managers. They already do 15 minutes highlights of championship on Sunday morning
