  1. Everybody seems to be forgetting how Rovers do things. We never do things the easy way, if we can secure safety early we never do it! For this reason, in true Rovers fashion, I predict that we lose both our home matches leaving us fretting like mad and then beat Leicester away on the last day to secure our ultimate safety.
  2. Agreed, but when the balls are playing ping pong in the area anything can happen.
  3. Agreed it was a magnificent performance, BUT we were very lucky with near misses and balls flying across the area. Their poor finishing also helped. After the season we have had with bad luck and very dodgy officials, we more than deserved the amount of luck we had. As you say as long as we don’t lose to Sheffield Wed we should be safe. I also think we should get something from the remaining two games as well, as long as we don’t let our standards drop as we did against Bristol city.
  4. Hi Phil Do you know if we have a sell on % for AW and if so how much?
  5. I thought that we deserved at least a point today and we fought really well in the second half and really took command. We were very unlucky to have so many goals disallowed, especially the first one, as I thought that their left back played him onside. If it had been Ipswich scoring them the useless match officials would have allowed at least two of them. But for a dreadful attempt at a save by Pears we could have won it. Goals change games. I thought that they were very nervy until they scored. Many supporters thought that we would get smashed by Ipswich, so to come away from the game feeling we were hard done to is encouraging. We are struggling to convert our chances but we are fighting hard to survive and that definitely gives me encouragement. If we can win a game and draw two or three I think we will be safe, staring hopefully on Monday At Sunderland. Surely our luck has got to change soon.
  6. I don’t care care how much people big up Scott Wharton, he is just so bad. The sooner Carter gets fully fit and replaces him the better.
  7. I don’t understand what you mean by funnelling, can you please explain?
  8. Is it beyond a possibility that Venkies may sell a controlling interest in Rovers using the excuse that the Indian govt are blocking funding. They will still have a degree of ownership and hence save face a bit like the Glaziers at Utd.
  9. If we can average a point a game from here on in, we will have 50 points which hopefully will be enough (in a normal year).
  10. Those who were there will never forget the 5-2 beating of Plymouth, being 0-2 down at halftime after missing a penalty and scoring 5 goals in the second half to win it. Don Martin was brilliant that night. I’m pretty sure it was on my birthday 15/02/75. That was a must win game to get promoted from div 3. To say I was depressed at halftime and ecstatic at full time is putting it mildly!! It was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen at Ewood. I stood near the back of the Riverside in the middle. Great days. 😊
  11. Do you know through your contacts whether we have a sell on % and if so how much?
  12. Collwill for Cardiff looks a good player, maybe one to replace AW.
  13. Yes that was my thought as well, but why take them if they’re crap.
  14. Let’s hope they spell his b***dy name right on the contract!
  15. If we do get him I hope that I’m proved wrong, but from his highlights(?) YouTube reel I thought he looked like a league 2 or lower bruiser who just bulldozed his way to goal pushing aside useless defenders. His shots are hit and hope and he usually ends up on his arse.
