  1. Any rumours/ leaks? Can’t see them being on sale before the end of May otherwise everyone will cash in with their club cash! Everton’s new kit is nice so fingers crossed for something similar. Funny feeling yellow will return for the away!

  2. Ferguson will have learnt alot tonight. Midfield needs major development, Liverpool are better there, Chelsea are better there and Barcelona were a class above there; the game was won and lost there, simple. Carrick was intelligent enough to find space in a congested midfield, but wasted too many passes. Anderson is not ready yet. Giggs is finished. Rooney is not a winger. As for the rest, O'Shea is not good enough and Berbatov is a joke.

He also needs to be careful as Ronaldo was made to look poor tonight as a result of no support after the first goal went in. He then got disgruntled and looked dissinterested. Yes he should not do, but if Fergie doesn't want to lose him he can't make the same tactical errors as he did tonight.

  3. Rovers fans don't really like long songs, as we found out last year when the whole santa cruz song got shortened to simply 'Santa cruz is coming to town'.

Hence my suggestion for Villanueva of "it's just like watching youtube!"

I still think Nelsen should be given the old colin hendry "Ooh Ryan Nelsen" simple and to the point bit like him

As for others we need some more club songs rather than necassarily player related.

I also recall someone asking for the lyrics to Nor Nay Never:

the shortened and common version is:

There's an alehouse in Burnley I used to frequent,

I met Owen Coyle his money was spent,

    He asked me to pay,

    I answered him nay,

'Cos we hate Burnley b******* till my dying day,

And its Nor Nay Never, bang bang bang bang,

    Nor Nay Never no more,

Will we play Burnley b******* till my dying day. (contrary to popular belief it is not Till we play... this simply would not make sense as the translation would read:

    No Not ever,

    Till we play burnley.

No we dont, until we do?? therefore it is Nor Nay Never, WILL WE PLAY

  4. Seven years on and with all the doubt about new owners here and the uncertainty they have created at other clubs, it all goes to prove there really is

    ONLY ONE JACK WALKER

  5. Lets look at the facts:

Neill says he didn't go to West Ham because of the money but because they showed they wanted him, Liverpool tracked him for 6months and didn't we show we wanted him enough??

Neill says he didn't go to West Ham because of the money but because they offered him a regular game, wasn't he our captain?

Neill talks out of his arse, he went for the money, simple.

Not that I really care, average defender who now has a HUGE wage to rival the size of his ego.

  6. Dunny had a major operation to cure his hamstrings last season and he said at the time that it is not a cure but should help prevent it tearing again however he recieved another injury to it this season, whilst not being as bad as the previous ones.

IF we can get Dunny to a reasonable level of fitness then of course he will be an improvement to the squad, at the moment who wouldn't swap a fit Dunny on the left flank instead of MGP, I certainly would!!! The position Dunny would excel at however is probably one he wouldn't relish, its the 'Tugay' role, just infront of the back four, spraying the ball around, he has the ability of that there is no question however his mental attributes leave a lot to be desired, when he left he saw himself as a box to box midfielder, something he will never be and when he didnt get to play where he wanted out of the pram came the toys.

If Dunny has matured and we can keep the injuries down then what a signing it could be, in reality it could all crumble but I have every faith in Hughes and his judgement will do just fine for me.

  7. 1. If the game against West Ham was a five a side, how would your team line up?

Friedel, Zurab, Tugay, Bentley, Gallagher (only of my teams he would get in, but he's got great talent).

    2. Who have been your best and worst players so far?

Best player is a tough one, Tugay and Savage have been immense, as has Zurab because he's mothered Ooijer through the tough beginning. Another player who deserves a mention is Dave Bentley, really improved this season and now a genuine threat.

Worst player, Morten Gamst Pedersen deserves this honour for his non existant performances.

    3. From a less than spectacular start, you seem right back on course (Sunday's madness aside)! What has sparked the transformation?

The players have got back to working harder than the opposition and doing the things we do well, we once again ensure we EARN the right to play the football rather than strolling on the pitch thinking we have that right already.

    4. What are the strengths and weaknesses of Mark Hughes?

Mark Hughes is a great manager, gets the best out of his players, has them physically fitter than they have ever been, helped immensely by a great backroom team.

The only weakness I can really see is that we have a problem playing two games in one week at the tempo we need to play at, thats maybe not Hughes' fault but its a problem. We start too slow after a midweek game and it will cost us soon.

    5. Which combo forms your best striking duo?

For me at the moment it has to be Nonda and McCarthy, however I do think that Jason Roberts will have a big part to play, but just at the moment I rate Nonda highly and if he bag a couple of goals I think he'll be a big threat, and they make a great duo.

  8. Is there any UEFA rule on a percentage of the capacity which must be offered to the opposing side? If its 10% thats around 5000 can't see rovers taking that myself more realistic would be 2500 especially when you consider they only took this amount for celtic, i'm prediciting a mad scramble for tickets and an awful lot of disappointed people.
