I think what he was saying is the sign of a good manager is getting results with a bang average/poor squad - through sheer organisation/personality/man-management. That's what gets you noticed and a chance to manage at a higher level with top players. This guy, with his 1 win in 12, hasn't shown any of the above. It really doesn't. It's a squad that is technically 'capable' at (I may be being generous with a couple of players in that category) zero pace, no set piece takers, no aerial threat, minimal physicality and little leadership. It's the worst squad I've known.

We've all known for a while that the squad is awful: unbalanced, small, slow and little fight. That lies with the owners and recruitment staff.
