  1. I wouldn't shed any tears if Stanley fail. I've no connection to the town, so I see things in black and white : Quite simply, Rovers need all the fans we can get. Any threat to our dwindling fanbase is a further hinderence.
  2. Leicester's financial loopholes. (as first discussed when I saw David Conn at a "Blizzard Event" September 2015. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/11/leicester-city-finances-football-league-financial-fair-play-investigation If only Venkys had their foresight.
  3. You need to remember this is simply a message board. No need to be melodramatic. Idve thought Parson was wise enough to keep things in perspective.
  4. As a Bond fanatic, i'm usually really critical. Hated Skyfall. But SPECTRE is incredible I smiled from the 1st minute til the last. I wasn't expecting it to be this wonderful.
  5. I'm too young to remember him, in person, but his autobiography was one of my favourite reads as a youngster. His achievements speak for themselves. The praise and gratitude of those paying tribute, show him as a true legend.
  6. Just watched 'Whiplash'. Aspiring academic drummer at a top music school. If the subject matter sounds dull, don't believe it. It's astonishing, and makes me wish I still had my kit.
  7. Kalinic having a field day at San siro. He's scored 2 in the opening 23 mins. 6 apps 3 goals.
  8. I'd say they have improved on last season, But theyre really not good enough, as a pair / individually. In all the seasons Hanley has played, I can't remember ever being impressed, or praising his performance. That says a lot. He's an international footballer, which baffles me. If he was any good, I'm sure many on here would've pointed it out and defended Him. Very few have. Duffy is big and clumsy in both boxes. The paradox is; his attacking headers look like clearing headers. Read his; "we may fall behind" quote on another thread. He's still sticking by his beliefs/ loyalties.
  9. I quite liked 'Scottish John.' Very passionate. The monotone commentator - who snoozed his way through to the early 2000s- used to do by head in. He didn't have an enthusiastic bone in his body. He was so devoid and dreadry, I doubted he was a rovers fan - or if he even liked football.
  10. I really like it. It builds and builds.
  11. Souness was a short term proposition? I'd take it. Promotion, league cup, finished 6th.. Some 3 years that!
  12. Tenacity and spirit. Wilted, but never gave in. Proud.
  13. Done really well to contain. Seem to be well organised and actually have a game plan. Reed quite lucky to still be on.
  14. Some will sheepishly back track.Wonder how "the lads who have fought tooth and nail to get to the final" will feel? BTW. I'd be there, but suffering with the flu.
  15. Got a feeling Rovers win today, payback for Palace'89. That said, I'm glad this is my last game of the season - and its nearly over!
  16. Then I've been mislead. 1.5m is too much for Dann. The Scott Dann is Superman chant shows a lack of awareness and basic football knowledge.
  17. Absolutely, Roy. Rhodes has been incredible. And to think some fans moan about 8m pounds being wasted on him. 8m on Rhodes looks a steal when you think we paid 8m on Scott Dann. Overjoyed with the result. Win at all costs. 5 live said rovers players were celebrating wildly at the final whistle! Embarrassing but sums most of this rabble up. Staying up by the skin of our teeth is no cause for celebration, their lack of fight, spirit and desire has put us where we are.
  18. I'm shocked by the news. Always valued his opinion, and he seemed to have a real analytical eye. RIP.
  19. Just seen Sky Arts are showing Romanzo Criminale season 2. I saw it a couple of years ago and was blown away. Highly recommend it and the 1st season.
  20. IMO some are unfairly critising Goodwillie. He is a penalty box poacher and nothing else. I'm not convinced of his full abilities as he's barely been utilised as a CF. When he played in his rightful position, albeit briefly, last season he scored goals. Dont get me wrong- he's not the next Gary Lineker- but he's stood little chance being played out of position. Left out to dry by Kean, for whatever reason.
  21. African Nations Cup 2013 is in South Africa.
  22. Hold my hands up on that. Good to see Kean attracting players! High praise. Lets hope Dickson plays to your expectations.
  23. Another player with a historical link to Kean. Etuhu has Never been consistantly good.
