  1. Currently out: S.Tomkins, Burgess, Gildart, Tierney, Manfredi, Mcllorum, Bateman and Sutton. You mean Escare? so far he's an absolute revelation; defence is rock solid, he's very quick, great feet and very good goal kicker. Can't believe he's the same player that we saw at Cats. As it stands S.Tomkins wont be starting at full back when he's fit. Navarette, the other French lad we picked up from Cats debuted last night and looks good. Both have said the training at Cats is way behind what they do at Wigan.
  2. Considering how many of the first team we had out it was a fantastic performance. In the second half we eased off and just kept it professional. With Wire they will point to the players in the stand, which of course is true but I really think last season, being so strong for the entire season only to lose two finals has had been psychologically very damaging especially when they had a full team against Wigan's patched-up effort in the GF. I don't think there off-season signings have been great either. As for Williams, the lad is another level and sadly think he'll be off to the NRL sooner rather than later. We'll see S.Tomkins back in halfs next season I think.
  3. Not as bad as made out? have you seen the photos from operation? the pain must have been immense.
  4. Bellew wouldn't fight AJ, for one they're friends and two Bellew know full well AJ would seriously hurt him.
  5. It took him five rounds to make the advantage count. He's no heavyweight and he should forget about Wilder and get as much cash as possible for a Haye rematch.
  6. Haye has actually gone up in my estimation, if they go again I just hope they cut the stupid pre-fight nonsense. If I was Bellew I'd be very careful who I fight next because AJ, klitchs and probably Wilder will have no problem with him.
  7. Why does Haye not go to southpaw to give him some power?
  8. Doesn't look like he can move that right ankle. If Bellew can't finish Haye off here he needs to give up at heavyweight.
  9. I'd say tendon related given he's dragging his leg. Still, big conkers for hanging in there.
  10. Bellew started better than I thought.
  11. Fair do's, I threw some toys out of the Mamas & Papas but he's done a job so far.
  12. It was a good attacking performance but how bad were Leeds! Seemed like every set they had to defend had "coach killers" in them. Cas will be up there but it's a long hard season and they have a few in that squad who don't have the mental ability to keep focused. Leeds, oh dear
  13. Just calming down! Was going to watch Rovers later but can't be bothered.
  14. Thank the Lord Almighty that RL is back, a blessed relief from t'Rovers. I like the look if the Wigan team this year.
  15. I need to watch Screenwipe again because I didn't find it that funny yet everyone else seems to have loved it. Konnie was engaged to that kn0b Richard Bacon so her taste isn't great.
  16. Delightful. Supporting Wigan RL is the exact opposite of supporting Rovers.
  17. Right, just read about the trouble after the game. I turned off the telly as too many salfords fans were on it . In fairness to Salford fans they're usually okay but they can attract Utd and City fans who seem to turn up for the liberal drinking rules at Rugby games and a scrap afterwards. Don't like KR fans; they're quite fond bricking your coach and it's one of the few Rugby grounds that have a Police presence.
  18. Yes, first point in extra time wins. It was an incredible drop goal. It's very windy at KR's ground and I suspect it got a bit if help but still, top kick! ? Has there been some trouble?
  19. It's that time again; Our annual trip to Old Trafford. Never known such a injury-hit squad but fair play we're there again!
  20. I'd have thought he'd sell out Ewood pretty easily.
  21. You can well imagine Barry Rao turning up for it.
  22. #ELTONJOHNOUT Oh, hold on a minute... Won't calm me, can't stand the bloke. Whatever happened to acorn?
  23. T'was an embarrassment and Wane is an arrogant plant pot but in fairness there was no training last week as most were still struggling on Sunday. Saying that, the halves need sorting, Smith isn't good enough and, whilst I'm no Dr, Williams injury sounds pretty bad to me.
