  1. That's how 90% of the ITKs roll on here so you're in their club now, well no actually you're not because you got it right. You and unleaded stand alone as the elite. Just please don't start sitting down for cups of coffee with Waggot and turn into another of his message board lapdogs 😎
  2. It goes on until we have someone address it by applying the methods Huddersfield, Bradford and now Preston have. Speculate to accumulate instead of squeeze what you have until every last drip has run dry. Sadly the man who we assume is responsible for this is by his own admission in the latter camp not the former.
  3. They don't seem to want to pay any of the assets any more money now by the looks of it. Brereton was allegedly signed under the strap line 'flex' whereby high fee lower wages so he's probably entitled to ask for double his money now. That might take him in line with Gallagher, Dack and co but will he get that ? Unlikely where Waggot is concerned he'll only be interested in grabbing another big fee under his watch.
  4. According to an ex director of ours at the time Lambert was told he'd get the Rhodes money plus another big lump on top. He got Rhodes wages which were already budgeted for and nothing else. Hence him activating his release button. I doubt JDT has been made such bold promises but i suspect it might well all hinge on BBD. If he gets sold for big money and nothing is given back for reinvesting i can't see him being very pleased.
  5. Rovers should be poaching the staff from Accrington Stanley not Hull if they want to make the most of the local market. Like Waggot messing around in huge places like Coventry the things that might apply in cities the size of Hull don't work here. You don't need degrees in marketing and strategy to realize that you just how to do your own local research. And spend an hour walking/driving around the town.
  6. They'll just shrug their shoulders and say well if we start playing well more will come and paying more for POD boosts the income. Now just look how hard it was last season to significantly increase attendance despite playing well for a while. It still took a lot of messing with match day prices to up the turnouts on a lot of occasions.
  7. Ah Blackpool that big club with a budget to get to the Prem and less than 2 hrs from Saltburn.... Full of shit as ever Mr Mowbray.
  8. Where has ANYONE said they want to go and watch Preston Wigan or Bolton instead ? A few have said however they are feeling priced out of watching their team which is the whole point of the 'moaning'. Your kind of post says a lot about your own attitude and i suspect some inside the club i.e if you want to come then come otherwise bog off. Great thinking that is when you are surrounded by empty seats next season listening to 500 away fans yelling your support if effing shit. Maybe you should get a job in Rovers marketing dept.
  9. They transferred the training ground then sold Adam Armstrong so the books could balance.
  10. Excellent piece that he's always been good at putting stuff like that across so i hope he still has contacts who'll read it. Really it should be on the front page of the LT but that lot wouldn't even give it a column inch and upset their paymasters. Maybe they should put their readership first for a change and get the drum beating.
  11. The way it's being set up there'll only be young players brought in and similar to recently probably a ceiling of 500k initial fee. As of the last few years it's going to rest on how they work the loan market as to how competitive we are. Would have been the same had the previous manager remained and it's why there is no Carlos or similar, because there'll be no real budget. Think we have to get used to that and accept it i don't think he's here to launch an instant promotion drive on the back of 8th last season. He should be but it's not how these lot work here.
  12. Add in Luton being just about the only club in Bedfordshire in it's capital town then they should be able to find 10k willing to pay good money. Rovers are at such a disadvantage with that type of scenario so they should price accordingly (Williams knew this) and literally be kicking doors down across the whole area to drive up sales. Like Preston for example and we have a bigger name, profile and - going off half of last season - product.
  13. Mowbray and his clan left us with Gally on a new contract so he's tied to the club, perhaps the only one who'll now never be worth more than his fee. No point shoving him out the door for nothing it would cost a million to pay him up. He's still a handy player to have around imo he just isn't as we all know a winger or even wide forward. It'll be interesting to see if JDT and his staff start using some of these players putting their best attributes first. Or continue down the Mowbray route of treating everybody like a utility man and only sign back ups.
  14. Mowbray said all the right stuff for the first few years but as we know he became a master at altering his own narrative to suit. That became one of the most annoying things about the guy himself he went from realist to self preserving billy bullhitter almost overnight once he'd reached his ceiling a few years ago. It went on 2 years too long but it's gone now i think the way people are reacting shows that. Doesn't matter how much he was liked in general for doing a steady job the overall feeling is this is a fresh start. It's overdue and i suspect the feeling inside the club is very similar so lets crack on.
  15. That's a big old backroom staff it just goes to show what has to be brought in and paid for even in a middle of the road championship clubs these days. Frightening and impossible to sustain for most clubs without outside backing. Hopefully it starts to be a well oiled machine but i 100% expect BBD will be being touted around now to help pay for all this.
  16. Got to hope there has been sensible provision made this time should the worst happen. I suspect Mowbray had a pretty tight contract that would have cost big to remove him. Given his stock was high and the owners thought he was the messiah when he signed his extension. Besides JDT might have inserted a Lambert style clause....
  17. This is a different direction it genuinely is the start of a new journey so lets give it a fair chance the guy will need to find his feet in this league. Those running the club need to back this new set up 110% not just decide they've done their bit now and ignore it for another 3 years. The next step should be sorting a boardroom setup who want to push the club forwards, want to re engage with a large swath of the irregular fanbase. And have the actual gumption how to do it.
  18. HSH will have somebody on standby ready to do it for 200k a year without asking for any staff or budget. This still has a feel to it of how we ended up with Coyle.
  19. How can the people responsible for this be seen to be justifying their wages by their big bosses who are supposedly astute business people ? Season ticket sales have fallen year on year under Waggot ever since he stepped through the door. Despite a promotion and relative stability, so we end up with year on year price hikes to try and cover the shortfall. Absolutely cutting our own throats it's like someone wants to kill the match going fanbase to the bare minimum on purpose.
  20. Yet all three left because they were too good for here and brought in ten million combined. All 3 have prospered since they left compared to treading water here.
