Their plan is 'we pay the bills we do what we want' that's been their attitude all along. As well as expecting everybody to be grateful obviously, they've created a situation that the entire clubs existence relies on their annual tens of millions injection. It's like the badly beaten, abused partner who can't leave because quite simply they'll end up on the streets. Iv'e always said i reckon they'd still do that even if their was no fans at all left. Pandemic has kind of proved that they are certainly capable of doing so. It just doesn't bother them in their own little haven thousands of miles away. If they ignore the club for 3 or 4 months whilst they do other things so what ? It'll still be there because they are paying for it. I assume it's a bit like owning a flash vintage car, you'll take if for a spin once in a while. Maybe even enter it into a motorshow or rally then preen over it if it does well. Then back into the garage whilst you go back to your daily car. You'll always pay for it to be cleaned and serviced though so it's there when you feel like using it. Those tasked with looking after it now are just taking advantage of the situation and seem to have license to drive the car round town themselves. Any manager worth his salt who constantly spins about journeys, building and young teams, would be putting the blocks in place for next season right now. Get his players out there in the starting 11 and get drilling the system into them. Great opportunity for that for every game post Derby till end of season. Not this guy though got to look after his favourites in a shop window or get enough appearances in job. Bennett should be nowhere near it now, Evans should always be 2nd choice. It just adds fuel to the fire of the complete verbal crap he spouts.

I wouldn't bet on it i think they've just lost interest again and heads have gone firmly back in the sand. That seems to be the pattern with them so summer brings either as you were or they leave it to the finance men and we have a fire sale and another impending relegation. The review, restructure and genuine attempt to move forwards, since the last one, we all crave and the club badly needs remains a very long shot imo.

I think we could go back 18 months and he was similar then, looking forlorn, knackered, confused. Talking about being away from his family (1.5 hrs away), how he didn't like letting players down when they trained hard all week, how it would be nice to have a two week break etc. All that was mid season when we were struggling again. The guy is done at this level, i think he pretty much made his mind up back then he was just going to plod on without much of a toss and whatever will be will be. Despite some bold words as usual in summer pretty much everything since then has backed up that theory. To be fair it's been a right old slog for everybody with the pandemic but they still had plenty down time. However all the signs were there a few years ago with this fella he's just settled into a plod. Then when his tree was shaken a while back he didn't like it, now he's between a rock and a hard place but the solution is simple.

He's an arsehole that's what he is, a very very lucky one, to have such idiots filling his bank account every month. Whilst he sits there insulting fans intelligence and dragging moral into the dirt before next season. No other club would put up with this, none.

If the development stuff was genuinely true he'd play all our own players from now. He won't though he'll look after the loan boys and give games to the ones he's helping find another club when their contracts here finish. Everything he says and everything he does are at opposite ends of the sales job he keeps pushing. Just get our kids out there and the ones we expect to be here next season. No need nor sense for anything else, that fits the development theme, it'll be shown to be bull again though. Mowbrays benevolent camp he's running here looking after everybody with someone elses money. Doesn't matter where we finish and he says he doesn't look at the table and is only bothered about individuals. Well prove it then in the last games otherwise you are proving your words as fraudulent.

Basically the owners have been underwriting the bills whilst still finding enough room to give this manager and his cronies some competitive wages and funds for transfers. Now though with promotion still nowhere in sight it needs a big cash injection from somewhere above and beyond the millions put in just to get by. This is where Waggot and co have spotted their chance to cook up the training ground scheme. We also need a management set up that maximizes what we do have compared to some others. Not one that cries about what we don't have continually and keeps implying he can deliver but only if he gets this/that/the gate post and the other, only to find something else to then blame his floundering on.

Not listened to the interview but by the sounds of it he went off on another humanitarian waffle when asked about the proposed Super League. Some of what he was saying was probably correct but there's a time and place to start going on about the pandemic again and peoples lives. To me that just sums him up he puts a sob story spin on everything from a football pitch to a simple question not club related. It really is no wonder he has the owners ear he's a walking sermon these days. It's also no wonder he's no ruthlessness in his body or a winning mentality to drill into his players. A career with a white dog collar on awaits him, he'd be good at that. Instead of being intent on dumbing down the club to make it easier for him and everybody to manage, he really really should hand over the reigns to someone who has a decent amount of drive and ambition for a little bit more.

It would be nice if someone had the brains and balls to point out some of this stuff to him when the verbals are spilling out unchecked. The way Brentford are set up and run allows managerial changes without too much uphevel. Similar probably at Barnsley another of his 'inspirations', then there's Leeds who had to move through a few to get one good enough for promotion. We can also chuck in Sheff Utd who got a manager who bounced them through from lge 1 to the Prem. Now he's gone as they look to regroup and go again. Then there's a team called Middlesbrough who had to sack an under performer in order to take the next big step forwards. He might have heard of that one. The propagandagraph wouldn't dare point any of this out though. Maybe they know it's pointless because unlike the afformentionds he has the inside of this club stitched up just how he wants it.

He was the one who insisted on slow build if his own words a few years ago are to be believed. Now he's giving the sob story the league is being left behind by the parachute money clubs. It's always been the case and its always been the case you stand still you get left behind. A right visionary isn't he.

The fact that it hasn't come to fruition isn't really the issue for most, as it was always a very long shot under him anyway. The fact his 12 million pounds worth of forwards still look worth a third of that combined. The fact we've won just 2 out of 16, dropped like a stone until we finally find a team worse than us we can beat. And the fact he's still here preparing to carry on the same next season.... All those really are the issues.

He's just going to go through all the same old spin again it's like it's scripted. Needs defenders - didn't sign any Needs quality - Had 12 million, didn't sign any. Needs windows - Had loads of them and we are now further away than ever. Needs experience - Got wages for Holtby, Johnson, Downing x2, Trybull, Ayala & Douglas. Needs transition to possession - 2 wins in 16 and nearly ended up in relegation fight. Needs new pitch - But others kept beating us on the same bit of ground. Needs new training ground - I'm not even commenting on that one. Now he needs 100 million or another 10 windows. Anybody who buys into this still either needs therapy or hasn't really been around Rovers long enough to form any other opinions. Like i said originally - Just #### off !

The flannel has started again, not having this fabled 100 million doesn't mean we should be so so far away from it every season. Also he's had several death spirals here and not been sacked so if someone else takes over why should they be unless we are starring relegation in the face ? That's something that has been a real threat the second half of this season. If it wasn't for the points gained in a few spectacular early wins before his system got sussed that's exactly where we'd be. Stick that up your identity ! Parachute money has always given well run and managed clubs in this league an edge of the others. That didn't start in the last few years just to throw a spanner in his works, it's always been that way. Just means others with decent means - like us - have to be more organized, work harder EVERY game, be very astute with signings and the main thing, be better managed. That's what gives you a chance otherwise why bother. He's set to ramp it up in the coming weeks with more bluff and bluster as he carries on without a care in the world. Then he'll be hoisting the white flag again by December. Why is he even making these comments anyway - unchallenged as usual. He doesn't look at the table and doesn't care about the team as long as he thinks individuals are performing and developing. He told us so just last week. Just #### OFF !

After those words we've basically flopped for a season and a half that has been difficult for every club and person in the land not just Blackburn. A few good results either end of the restart, a few spectacular ones early doors this time and possibly a few at the end. A whole dose of nothingness inbetween alongside weekly excuses and spin. Yet backing in the summer we'd probably no right to expect given the circumstances. Gone into this season with strongest squad in depth he's had here and we've had for years, didn't have Ayala last season and managed most of it without Dack, same as this one. Flopped badly no two ways about it and no logbook of excuses can cover it all. Expect more nonsense as this season rolls to a close. Time is way past being up.
