  1. That's the first question they should be asking.
  2. So as long as the owners are enjoying the games and feel we are unlucky nothing else matters. Nothing sums up Venkys tenure as owners better than that. Fans feelings really do not matter a jot.
  3. No need to retire your strike rate is no worse than a few who claim a bit of ITK on here. And besides Nixon makes a living off edging his bets.
  4. This is why when people are saying there's a root and branch clearout coming in summer i'm convinced it's by him not starting with him. The only way he knows how to do things is down grading and cutting costs. That's why he was at Charlton and Coventry. Clubs on the way down adjusting to a low income existence. Now he's here with billionaire owners but pitching his down scale, squeeze everything you have methods. Then he'll be gone with a nice fat pension and maybe bonuses in his pocket. Not a good situation at all and of course it means Mowbray remains here. Another only suited to lower end deadbeat stuff. This really could end with another relegation and a load of money in from player sales and land sales. That side of it probably appeals to some parts of the ownership if not others. Dangerous people.
  5. I reckon his PR man will be handing out plenty warnings before it begins.
  6. Pressers on a Thurs before or after training normally ? Don't know what they are bothered about anyway all the questions he'll get will be loaded for the usual easy stock replies.
  7. They'd built up some passion again after league 1 but failed to capitalize on any of it. Clubs like Rovers need a fire behind them once the blue touch paper is lit, always been the case. They miss judged everything very badly on that score, the ambition which everyone in a town like Blackburn needs to see to believe in was just replaced by a 'job done' attitude. They all settled in the the plod instead of the push on. No ambitious signings just new generous deals for players who'd turned in one good season after relegating us in the first place. Price rises assuming crowds would rocket again instead of trying to draw lapsed fans and part timers back in. And a manager telling the owners to put their money away lets go at a snails pace instead. Many chances gone right there and then. Of course hindsight is a wonderful thing, except we were saying it at the time !
  8. He'll roll out the under performing loanees in front of our own again probably. You know the ones who won't give much of a toss because they won't be here next year. Got to do everybody else favors first, keep everybody happy. About as ruthless as a grandmothers canary.
  9. Benson and Lowe are just collateral damage of the way the club is now run. Both iv'e no doubt work hard and do their best but really shouldn't be near a team that supposedly has promotion aspirations. Mowbray inherited both and kept them either because he had to or by his own judgement. I'll always remain a little skeptical of the moving of Johnson into the first team fold. Either way though he'd proven himself a very useful asst to the club with his management of the U23s. It looks from the outside like they moved him and created a position for him. Odd really when he was doing so well where he was. And how much does Mowbrays backroom team cost the club now ? Benson. Lowe, Johnson, Venus, himself, drones, drone pilots, analytical staff the list goes on and on. Then they penny pinch in the physio and medical depts. It's not good, i doubt it's all really needed and it's all on Mowbrays doorstep. Yet form on niggles and knocks and bringing back players before they are ready is worse than ever before. Sooner he's gone the better before he clogs up the entire club.
  10. By the looks of it as well as the confused look on Mowbrays face he's quite simply installed too many cooks. Stats are taking over the game and he's thinking he's pioneering that so everybody is running around with a clipboard. Your attempts to smear Johnson and divert away from the REAL problem are rather obvious and a bit sad really.
  11. That's what the manager expects of him though, it'll be fook all to do with Benson either way.
  12. There is no argument to be had. A novice coaching from a manual was coaching young keepers and putting a loanee through his paces. Now he's got an experienced international number 1 there everyday. Who's rubbing off on who ? What can he possibly 'teach' someone like Kaminsky ? Nothing, apart from perhaps offering stats on the opposition. So in effect having him around is better for Benson and his own learning curve no ? The Johnno comment is bollocks seeing as he had a very good and long career as a high level player. So no correlation whatsoever but yes he should be perfectly able to coach the first team instead of Mowbray and Venus. How could he be worse than 1 win in 14 with such a good squad to pick from that he knows very well.
  13. That's because Kaminsky has probably forgotten more than Benson will ever know. Quality keepers just need putting through their paces day in day out, thankfully the recruitment dept found us one. Perhaps Benson will learn something from him.
  14. All the more reason to need a team with a bit of fight and hope about it. Sadly it reflects its manager, comfortable in a dire situation.
  15. So JRC and A N Other rotating at right back, Bell again and now Pickering rotating at left back. The stuff of Tombola Tony's dreams this.
  16. That's been the plan with Nyambie for over 12 months imo i called it ages ago. However its come about or whoever is to blame it's another shambles. From our lots point of view though they'll get a few million and nice sell on clause probably. Cheaper than giving him a bumper new deal and Mowbray removes another obstacle he doesn't want with minimum fuss. Then he'll get to waste the proceeeds on another dolloper to rotate with JRC according to opposition. Great.
  17. That goes against ALL Venky logic, it's almost like it suits them or someone for us to sit in this division wasting company millions. Had they remotely tried that at any point in the last decade we'd have at least have had a flirt with promotion.
  18. Probably scrape a credible draw here then Waggot will emerge from under his rock to back his boss, sorry manager. We need Mowbray gone but we need points as well, safety has to come first. If we get walloped here and he still survives we might as well throw in the towel. 1 - 1
  19. Personally i don't want to hear it the guy is just another PR windbag bleeding the club. You can bet your backside win or draw the next match he'll seize his moment.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised i mean how dare we get angry and worried at a run like that. We are only Blackburn Rovers the smallest backwater club in England with the budget of Bamber Bridge Fc. Should be so grateful to still have the God of midtable football wasting that budget on his mates.
  21. I think it's easy for them to confuse waffle with passion. Just because he can talk a glass eye to sleep about football doesn't mean he's a passionate manager. He comes across more like a fan or pundit at times, commentating on things whilst remaining detached from it himself. A rare talent considering he's talking about his own flipping team losing again.
  22. Just don't think they pay enough attention to be honest and of course the football old boys club is alive and well. Mostly exists on hype, lies and bull shit. It's the arrogance that gets me most they don't listen to fans who pay to watch all the time. They prefer to just look at the stats and speak to another pundit who happens to be a managers pal. Lazy tossers just chucking out soundbytes most of the time. It's funny though as my only memory really of him as an opposition manager is when Boro came to Ewood and counter attacked us off the park. That was in the dying embers of Kean so we were rubbish. Very much like we are now, sideways, backwards, slow and completely toothless. We've actually seen some of that stuff from TMs Rovers at times and it is the style that suited us most. He abandoned it though for the going nowhere rubbish we see now. Just why he saw fit for such a sea change is the million dollar question, almost like he's trying to hold us back. For the last 18 moths what we've seen mostly on the pitch is more what you'd associate with Kean & Coyle = a confusing mess.
  23. Tony Mowbrays teams don't play winning football that's the problem. That's why he gets sacked everywhere after a couple of years. I'm sure Boro fans loved his midtable fare so much they'd have swapped it for the Karanca years. Or Coventry fans would still prefer sitting at the lower end of league 2 to watch this mythical football. Thick as pigswill these pundits.
  24. The flop after lockdown last season finally sealed if for me. I knew whatever happened in summer we'd be nowhere near it by the end of this season. Yet he managed to blag what looked like a few good signings and talked the big talk again. Along with loading a few more boro pals on the books again for good measure of course. I was angry then with that flop as there was clearly no intention from him whatsover to have a go the end of last season. To me that's is the best chance we've ever had under this ownership of sneaking into the play offs. Nothing to lose at all but did they have a go ? Did they feck he just continued his transition to possession going sideways and backwards. Then we folded to teams who basically just wanted it more. A few good wins mostly in dead rubbers when the beach was in sight cast a false shadow on last season. The warning signs for this flop were there for all to see, they can't step up when it matters because he can't motivate them to. Or set up a side geared to do that. The very definition of a middle lane driver at best and sleeping on the hard shoulder at worst. Get gone.
  25. Others teams results should have no bearing on judging ours if the games don't involve us. That's just verbal diarrhea he spouts like Coyle to veer away from the real issues. This is the championship results are always up and down and anyone can still beat anyone on any given day. Apart from us obviously, we used to be one of the standard up and down teams but now we are consistent in not managing to win at all. Relegation will be rubber stamped next season persisting with this manager and his approach. If they are still too stupid to realize this having been burnt several times before when the warning signs flashed loud and clear the season before then they deserve to burn in hell. Sick to the back teeth of this now and anybody who is stupid enough to still make excuses for him.
