  1. no originality in the chants in the championship i`ve noticed, esp from away fans. always the same `i wanna go home` crap..
  2. don`t know about that, i was worried everytime he got the ball but we coped well enough in the end.
  3. it was a strange game, with a mixture of very good and very poor play from us in equal measure. a draw was imo a fair outcome. we do at times look a decent side now under bowyer. if he can keep the job and build on things, i think we could be in the mix at the right end of the league next season.
  4. yeah, i know worked it out now. it was a muted reaction then at the end of the game, that`s why i thought we weren`t yet safe.
  5. am i getting my maths wrong here(?), but barnsley can overtake us(can`t they?) with a heavy win against huddersfield, matched with another heavy away defeat for rovers.
  6. just need to carry on where we left off in our last 2 home performances, put in the effort and show your quality and quite often you can get the luck to go with it.
  7. agree. in bowyer they could possibly have stumbled on the right manager for our club by luck, not design. i wouldn`t complain if he were to start next season in charge.
  8. ` Fair enough, if no one comes in then we're stuck with the clowns and their, at very best, utter negligence.` exactly, and that being the case, isn`t it then best to hope they can get their act together? what`s so bad about me hoping for that?
  9. ffs those harping on about venky`s out, enjoy the result tonight, the manner it was acheived and what it represents, then in the summer we can concentrate on what happens next. one thing to note, even if venky`s put the club on the market, it took the walker trust 3 or 4 years(wasn`t it?) to sell and that was as a premier league club, so i wouldn`t expect them to be gone any time soon in any case. we are better off hoping they look into doing things right(asking the right sort of people how to do it).
  10. hope lowe is back for this one, as despite the derision directed his way i believe we miss his energy in the middle when he`s not playing(as against watford imo where dunn was certainly not a suitable replacement). as i`ve said previously, all these remaining games are now a desparate scrap for points, and all we can hope for is a bit of luck in terms of bounce of the ball/ref decisions and that the players show that bit of extra quality than our opponants. my line up- sandomierski kane hanley dann olsson kazim-richards williamson lowe jones goodwillie rhodes subs usai givet rekik dunn morris pederson gomes
  11. one word on todd kane, excellent prospect. reminds me of (a right sided) graeme le saux, tenacious and gets forward superbly. will be a first teamer for chelsea at some point surely..? he was just one in a team of star perfomers tonight though who you could see it DOES matter to them.
  12. excellent display from rovers that showed both fight(and imo crucially) our better quality of player, possibly the most convincing display this season( i`ve not attended quite a few due to being away) and only the fact we couldn`t quite get that second goal gave a fighting huddersfield side a sniff at all. if we`d played like that all season, we`d have been at the right end of the league and probably in the mix for promotion. the players can hold their heads up high tonight after all the doubts expressed about them in certain places.
  13. when all said and done it`s a scrap now and we need a bit of everything to go our way, luck of the bounce, ref decisions and maybe even that bit of extra quality from our players(a few do possess it!). we had all this against derby and now have to hope for similar against huddersfield too irrespective of the team line up.
  14. yeah, to be fair i found the question an acceptable one too. the poster clearly had no knowledge of how the incident came about or where it happened, so just asked if something on the pitch sparked it off(probably assuming it happened in the seated area). i don`t think he meant it in a sarcastic way.
  15. i can`t believe in such a packed area NOBODY saw EXACTLY what happened, but then maybe the police have advised them to say nothing to nobody. there`s so many contrasting tales it`s probably better to just focus on commenting about the injured man and wishing him well for now until more is known.
