  1. Anyone yearning for the “good old days” under Tony Mowbray?
  2. Eustace sounds about as inspiring as a wet lettuce. If ever a team reflected its manager there it is He needs to start throwing some tea cups around the dressing room Where's the anger and the passion?
  3. To put this in context, Luke Williams lost his opening four home league games as Swansea boss until today. Rovers are still winless after six games under John Eustace
  4. There always one team that drops like a stone from mid-table in the second half of the season. Looks like it's us this year And I said after the last 2 away games I attended at West Brom and Brum that we looked a relegation side Nothing has changed
  5. That's 3 in a row I've got dead right - not that I'm taking any pleasure in it Teams below us won too QPR at Leicester. Really?
  6. Are the Rovers players cheating? Pull their tripe out for a big Cup game in front of the TV cameras but can't be arsed in a run of the mill league game
  7. And to think, some folk were eyeing a top 8 finish after Tuesday night's performance
  8. . Swansea haven't won at home in yonks and shipped a load of goals too - then good old Rovers come a calling After the Lord Mayor's show This was always going to happen
  9. Don't be surprised if we lose this Tuesday will have taken alot out of the players. They put in one hell of an effort for 120 minutes and their legs will still be feeling it on Saturday. Then there's the emotional climbdown after losing on penalties Eustace will have to manage the team carefully and gets his subs right to nurse us through the game. I'd be very happy with a point but I think it'll be: Swansea 2 Rovers 1
  10. BBC commentator tonight..... "Man Utd have ONLY won 4 trophies in the 10 or so seasons since Ferguson retired". Jim Ratcliffe in a recent interview: "The past 11 years have been agony" Don't you just love the entitled, self-serving elite?
  11. Pears is improving without a doubt and is streets ahead of the Swedish lad who is one of the main reasons we are in relegation trouble. He still only 25 - young for a goalkeeper, and his game is beginning to mature. I'd like to see him more dominant in the 6-yard box from crosses and corners - several times last night he should have come out to catch or punch the ball away but stayed on his line.
  12. Really? One good game in the Cup and we're now looking at the top 8?? The players put in a massive shift last night but the question has to be asked why they didn't do that in the league (my last game at Birmingham was awful) and whether they can repeat it. Last night will have taken its toll. All the games are difficult from now on - starting at Swansea
  13. Mmm, not sure about that He said some nice things about Rovers at the start but for the rest of the time his comments were from a Newcastle viewpoint. I know he's a Newcastle fan etc etc etc but he's paid very handsomely - about £450,000 a year (yes, really) by the BBC to provide insight and analysis and that requires objectivity - not how "we" aren't playing well or "we" should have scored at least three. Gary ("shame Blackburn went down" - 1999) Lineker doesn't like us because we had the temerity to try to buy him years ago - which he regarded as an insult. He just about passed muster last night but still made a snide remark about the game at half-time after what I thought was an enthralling first half
  14. He's a pundit, paid a huge salary by the BBC to give insight into football, not be a superfan waving his Newcastle scarf. He was unprofessional and it was all the more galling he was so open about it at the club where he made his name. And he called us Blackburn too.
  15. Massive congratulation to Eustace for getting the team to compete with and match a top Premier League team for 120 minutes. Gives alot of hope for the future
  16. Out of respect for the club he used to play for and made his name, and our fans
  17. Brilliant effort by Rovers, could easily have won in normal time Shearer gone down in my estimation tonight - he should have been more neutral for this game
  18. Rovers have given a great account of themselves through sheer hard work - exceeded expectations.
  19. Huge gulf between the clubs. There's some top quality Prem players out there tonight against some very ordinary Championship squad players.
  20. You have to laugh watching Siggy pretending to jump for headers against their centre halves
