  1. Roberts is a fair player. Better than Dikov and Kuqi. Saw Roberts give Henning Berg a rough time at West Brom so if we can get money for Kuqi then its good business.
  2. A lovely tribute to an ex player who obviously was held in great regard. He must have died with many fond memories of Ewood Park at a time when football was for the working class, when the players actually mingled with the supporter of the club and money was'nt the main issue of the day.
  3. Disagree entirely. Brilliant player for Rovers and tactically astute as his results in Norway have proven. Told the great tactitian Souness a thing about tactics at half time against Sunderland and was promptly subbed! Met him and his wife after beating Spurs at Cardiff and both were really nice. Very fond of Rovers but not Souness and I would love to see him return to Ewood one day as his experience would be invaluable.
  4. The geordies are sick of Souness without a doubt. Not only Souness but the backroom staff as well. Dean Saunders is another example of somebody with little know how being helped on the gravy train by a mate. He only came to train at Ewood through Souness and ended up as head coach and then subsequently got a nice little earner in the North East. It makes you sick, The supporters stitched up once again. Hopefully Mike Newell will be able to air his revelations to the general public but I think too many people will be exposed so ahush up is on the cards there!
  5. As you all know I never ever liked the man. It was'nt just the management side of him but mainly the over riding arrogance of the man. It is not just coincidence that whatever club he is in charge of it seems that players simply dont like his attitude to them. When I was working for some of the players even when things were going seemingly well at the time most of the players did'nt seem to be exactly keen on the man or the training sessions. Funnily enough they seem to like the training sessions with Brian Kidd which leaves me to think that he had the skills of what todays players look for in training and got the respect of the players but he lacked any tactical or buying nounce. He probably fooled us all on that score if you all remember when he took to the touchline ahead of Tony Parkes on the day he wasnt supposed to be in charge! Now Mark Hughes is in charge and he does seem to embrace most of the good things about todays manager, training being enjoyed. team spirit and an eye for a good player as well as conducting himself in an intelligent and congenial manner off the field. Players seem to have his respect just as the players had respect for Kenny Dalglish which with todays modern player goes a hell of a long way.
  6. The mans living in the 70s. 70s management with 70s backroom staff. Football has moved on mate. Mark Hughes is the man. He recognised the failings at the club and got the right people in charge, got rid of Tony Parkes and made some astute signings for the right money. Souness spends spends and then spends again and when that does'nt work he goes back for more money. That is not managing a club but taking them down the road to ruin. How can anybody pay 8 million for Bousong when he the last two moves he made were for free transfers? How can you pay 9 million for a player who according to Newcastle supporters is completely useless? How could anybody give Henning Berg and money to get Amaruso? The man has made mountains of money from being a totally inept manager and that is a fact and a fact of which todays game happens more and more with the supporters having to finance these parasites.
  7. Superb yesterday. On a par with performances given by Le Saux in our championship year. I always thought Gray was a good player at Sunderland but lets be honest he has been mediocre at Ewood up to yesterday. Hopefully he has rediscovered his enthusiasm for the game because he does have above average ability if he can be bothered.
  8. A day to remember for a long long time. Credit to all for a superb performance. Bellamy makes so much difference. It goes to show how much a class striker does make a difference to the team and results. Souness will probably agree as well!
  9. Souness saw me shopping in John Lewis in Cheadle. Met Craig Short in Harrogate when he had got collared by one of those survey people. Worked for Stuart Ripley in Langho. Worked for Egil - top top bloke. Worked for Henning Berg - top top wife!! Met Jon Douglas in Corals bookies in Bamber bridge - seemed o.k.
  10. EUROPE! YOU ARE JOKING. LETS CONCENTRATE ON STAYING IN THE PRMIERSHIP FIRST AND FOREMOST BEFORE WE SET EUROPE ALIGHT WITH FLOWING FOOTBALL.
  11. Would'nt dream of paying £10 to watch this meaningless game.
  12. Bloody awful ! Mediocre players getting paid miles over the odds for their limited ability. Bentley - too slow. Reid - where the hell is he playing. Kuqi - cant control a ball to save his life. Jansen - skilful before his accident but sorry Matt you have lost it for the premiership. Savage - the original headless chicken. Neill - positional sense, well he has'nt got one. Gresko - average and thats being kind. Emerton - frustratingly inept. The list quite frankly is endless. I'm sorry but for what the working man is asked to pay to watch this drivel is nothing short of daylight robbery and for a night match it's nightlight robbery!
  13. Extremely disapointed with yesterdays performance under Mark Hughes. I must say i did think his appointment was a good one but the tactics yesterday left me wondering. The entertainment value was to be quite honest was dreadful and its no wonder crowds are plummeting on such a scale. How can you play one up front at home against a team short on confidence was something i could'nt understand. It was'nt a case of playing one on fire striker either, it was playing a striker who could not possibly be match fit on his own. I like Mark Hughes as a person but I am beginning to wonder whether his inexpereience in football management is beginning to show. I dearly would like him to succeed in the job as he is a respected man in football. I am becoming more and more frustrated on how football is going and I know I am not the only one. Please somebody realise that football is on a decline and the common man is fed up with all the things associated with the modern game as it stands.
  14. Warhurst was a very talented player but a player who never realised his potential like so many players over the years.
