  1. You cant blame Rovers if rovers fans have sold their tickets to Celtic fans can you? As for chucking them out then yes more effort could have been made but the police where very busy at the Darwin End and the stewards around the ground must average about 16 years old, and they aren't going to be able to chuck any drunk scottish blokes out are they?
  2. Anyone know why the Celts where singing 'Ar-gen-tina, ar-gen-tina'? Is it to do with the Falklands, France 98 or summat else?
  3. Baz, I wasn't having a go at you........and the point is if a fan bought tickets LAST SEASON he/she still qualifies....don't think you read my reply Try telling that to the girl in the ticket office...are you right or is she? Dunno is the answer but I hope your right and there is still tickets left!
  4. 2-0 t'blue n'whites wit coal n'york scorrin! c'mon u bloos!
  5. If you read my post properly it says that my mates bought tickets last season but not yet this season therefore the ticket office will not allow them to buy a ticket for the celtic game! I have mine already as I go to every game I can get to home and away.
  6. The demand for tickets is there, people cannot buy them. Possibly rovers could now put them on sale to people who bought tickets for last seasons games or games that took place before the uefa cup draw took place this season. This would mean celtic fans are unlikely to get them. I know plenty of casual rovers fans who went to cardiff last year and go to the odd home game but haven't been this season yet - surely these people should be allowed a chance of a ticket rather than rovers not selling out?
  7. Non-STH have to be on the database for having bought tickets for games this season and last season - thats only for the number of seats they purchased at a time - not one for each stub they have. For instance as I was a season ticket holder last year and a non sth this year but have only bought tickets for myself this year I am entitled to 1 celtic ticket although I have been to every home game this season and several away games. This policy ensures that non-STH who are regular attenders all get tickets rather than someone with a bunch of stubs getting a bunch of tickets for him and all his mates who haven't been regularly.
  8. Just got my ticket for the home leg. Ticket office girl said they where selling well and they expect to sell out Ewood.
  9. The Mirror yesterday commented on the amazing atmosphere as the celtic fans sang 'you'll never walk alone' and it never abated for the rest of the game...I'm slightly puzzled as the only ones singing where in blue and white! Nice guys though, talking to a guy in the pub before the game who goes to every home and away game Celtic play with his son and he lives in Belfast (gave me his celtic scarf too) Anyone else notice the number of Irish flags yet I didn't see ANY scottish ones, I know the history but I thought it was weird.
  10. Surely you can only judge this at the end of every season Paul. How does the club know that you will attend every game till the end of the season? Even if you have a record of having been to every game for the past 2 years on a match by match basis how does the club know that you're not emigrating next week (extreme example) and will never purchase another ticket?
  11. Anyone mentioned 'the hill' yet or are we best to leave that alone? Im sure the pubs will be showing BBC1 anyway for those who cant be bothered to pay.
  12. I predict score draw at Parkhead (1-1 / 2-2) and narrow victory at Ewood (2-1 / 3-2). 2 very hard fought games though, good to watch with both teams going for it for 180mins. Love to see Duff, Cole, Jansen, Yorke, Thommo, Dunn play against the very tall but slow celtic defenders!
  13. Well Done! Glad Rovers saw sense! See you in Glasgow
  14. Any hints on car parking as well?
  15. Lee - can you shed any light on this matter?
  16. Jordan, If no joy thru email try the press, Rovers may want to avoid bad publicity in local papers etc... Hope to see you at Parkhead!
  17. SteB after being at the ground this morning there must have been 3500 people there when I left at 10 o'clock. If the majority of these people where buying 2 or more tickets (everyone I talked to was getting 3 or 4), and people have been ringing the constantly engaged ticketline for nearly 2 hours, then I would say demand is higher than you think. This is only from season ticket holders as well, how many non-ST holders would want a ticket?
  18. One of the stewards said to me that 300 of the tickets where already sold for corporate customers! They'll be the ones with the prawn sandwiches then!
  19. Just got back from Ewood got 4 tickets unrestricted views - went down at 6 o'clock. People still joining the queue as I left (they have no hope in hell). Dad was trying on the phone and couldn't get thru. I didn't see anyone in the back of the ticket office taking calls - maybe they are only going to open the phone lines later? I predict that SteB was wrong and we could have sold 8 - 10,000 for the game at Parkhead.
  20. Weather forecast for all the early birds 6am: 12 degrees heavy rain / some snow on high ground blustery wind up to gale force, flood warnings on several rivers. Hope rovers have done a bit of thinking and will allow fans to wait under the stand (as they did for Cardiff).
  21. Cheers SMc_Celtic, that would be quite useful!
  22. Im not saying I will do it I just think it is inevitable
  23. I and everyone else on this message board knows that Celtic fans will be in all parts of the ground anyway. In fact it is a money spinning opportunity for fans to make a few quid! That said anyone in the rovers areas of ewood with celtic colours on should be ejected from the ground straight away.
  24. Can you please let us know where the tickets we have been allocated at Celtic Park are in the ground, and how good / bad are the restricted / severly restricted views. As for pubs try the Fernhurst right next to the Darwin End stand where you will all be sat
