About Me

I have supported my beloved Rovers for over 48years having been born in Norfolk Street Mill Hill back in 1967, that some 10 minute walk from the ground. Having had the pleasure of my grandad to ensure that I grew up to despise everything in claret and blue and everything associated to Burnley FC, I have ventured on the ultimate football supporters dream and have followed my team far and wide.

From Division 3 football and football in the old Anglo Scottish Cup, I witnessed my club make it all the way to the promised land and to win the Premiership title. Further to that we then saw our club win the Worthington Cup Final after a couple of seasons outside the top flight.

My finest memories are as follows: (in no particular order)

Winning at Burnley 1-0 when a certain Simon Garner scored on Boxing Day.

Beating Derby 5-0 when SG scored all 5 goals.

Hammering City 4-1 when SG became Ewoods number 1 goalscorer.

Winning 1-0 at QPR to virtually end doubts of a Rovers League Championship success.

Losing 2-1 at Anfield and lifting that trophy.

Winning 1-0 at Anfield as a Div 1 Club in the League Cup and backing Big Nathan at 66-1 and a 1-0 win scoreline and taking home a cool £3k.

Cardiff Cup final, Spurs beaten 2-1.

Plymouth Argyle home when we hammered them 5-2 to go to the top of the league.

Beating Bistol Rovers at Eastville 1-0 and then finding out that PNE had done us over by losing to Swansea.

Living next door but 1 to Sir Stuart Metcalfe in Mill Hill.

The one abiding thing that has turned me off football Keanscum, Venkys and the pure lies that flow from the walls of Ewood Park.
