  1. Broughton certainly has his critics and takes a lot of flack on here, but I thought it was a superb interview. Spoken openly and honestly about the full range of topics that supporters would want to be addressed. From the budget, to Phillips, to Wharton, it is exactly what we've been calling for in terms of clarity and reassurance. If another DoF came out and spoke like that we'd have dozens on here asking why our own staff couldn't do the same. Assuming that there is nothing misleading in what he said - which I would be surprised if there were - then it gives me a much stronger sense that we have some safe hands in key positions at the club (even if they might not have as much power or independence as we might want).
  2. What does everyone think of the Arsenal song - North London is ours - they play before every home game Personally think its very apt and a good song to enhance atmosphere at home games and make the ground a fortress Do you think with our history rovers could have one ? Interested to hear views? I was bored on a train the other day and wrote some lyrics for a rovers song, does anyone know a local band who may be interested to write the music?
  3. Google Venkys under investigation, was trying to do a link to an article but can't for some reason. Don't know it it's mentioned elsewhere on here..
  4. 23 year old striker from Borussia Mönchengladbach. Never heard of him before, but he's apparently made mincemeat of the lower German divisions (Regionalliga is the German fourth tier). Hope he'll come good on Championship level as well.
  5. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23760103.blackburn-rovers-sign-james-hill-loan-bournemouth/ He's signed. Think he will be part of the first team this season? Not the experience we need but looks good.. Apparently he's a Bristol lad! The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut against West Ham in the opening weekend of the season, coming on as a second-half substitute. Looks like they rate him enough to give him his PL debut.. "We are really pleased that Bournemouth recognise that our brand of football and training environment were the perfect fit for James to play his football this season.”
  6. The BRFCS Player of the Month for August 2023 is the skipper Lewis Travis who with a series of wholehearted displays to start the season narrowly held off the challenge of Dominic Hyam & Ryan Hedges. https://x.com/brfcsdotcom/status/1697223304698790080?s=61&t=YzghmFC1hBTxrcVJBu1kGQ MOTM template .mp4
  7. Absolutely awful news that Matt is no longer with us. He’s the voice of match day for many Rovers fans that are new supporters and if anyone had the chance to meet him he was a true gent.
  8. Welcome to the biggest club on planet earth (and beyond) Wonder where JDT see's him fitting in...as a No10 or out wide? The blurb on the official site says he can play both.

  10. 4,000 Holes is returning in 2023/24 with four new issues planned. Subscriptions are now available. For just £10 (which includes UK postage), you will receive the next four issues (109 to 112). Issue 109 will be a Special Edition as part of the 'fan takeover day' for the Rovers v Girona pre-season friendly on Saturday 29th July. Previous subscribers are already due to receive Issue 109 - therefore there is the option to get a reduction on the subscription for anyone renewing for this season. Meanwhile Issue 111 is due to be a 'Nineties Special', to follow on from the hugely popular 2000-10 Special and 2010-20 Special from the last couple of years. 11. sadly passed to the other side a great player and for anyone under 40 the first british million pound signing
  12. We are delighted to announce that the Rovers match against Girona on 29th July will be sponsored by the Supporters Trust, We Are The Rovers. Working with the club and other supporter groups we aim to provide a unique fan-led experience before, during and after the game. There’ll be plenty of exciting and exclusive content for you in the build up to the game, courtesy of BRFCS and Rovers Chat. Missed your physical match day Programme? It’s coming back for the day, courtesy of 4,000 Holes. Ever dreamed of hearing your favourite song played at Ewood? Well we’re taking over the playlist and we’ll be taking requests. There will be stalls at Ewood where you can find out about the work we and other fan groups have been doing. We’ll also be joined by the Community Trust who will be providing a number of activities suitable for all the family. We appreciate the club’s efforts to make the game affordable, but recognise times are tough. The Supporters Trust will be providing a limited number of tickets to individuals and families who are facing financial hardship currently. The party will continue after the full time whistle when we will be joined in Blues Bar by an exciting band with a local connection. Football without fans is nothing, and we hope we make this a memorable occasion for you all. We Are The Rovers
  13. Looks like we get him for free to boost our defence! Thoughts?
  14. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23601975.blackburn-rovers-sign-tom-bloxham-tottenham-hotspur/ Spurs allowed Bloxham to spend time on trial during the 2022/23 campaign, playing once for Rovers Under-18s at the end of 2022 and then twice for the Under-21s at the turn of the year. He started in the Under-21 games against Brighton and Fulham in February, both away from home, and was on the bench for the Premier League 2 fixture against Leicest Just spotted this one, another early signing. Think he will feature this season?

  16. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/15/sondre-signs-/ Welcome Sondre!
  17. Annual thread awaiting details and leaks on the shirts. Can anyone confirm if we need a new sponsor for next season? Looking back to when TW was announced, can't find any details over the length of the agreement. Perhaps something which can be asked at the Fans Forum?
  18. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-mowbray-sunderland-love-26882011 Aye you loved us so much you gave us 2 in 17 👍👍 I'm glad you didn't hate us hahaha.
  19. Season wrapped up means in the next few weeks the pre season schedule should be coming to light. anyone heard of anything so far ? As expected I believe they will be heading to Spain or something on a weeks training camp, would like to see us play accy Stanley again, matches against Stockport and salfird would be good tests, hopefully a trip to Scotland again too
