  1. Due to Kanye West being Kanye West, clubs are cutting ties with him, and Rovers will no longer be playing "All Of The Lights" as they walk out at home games. The song was chosen by Travis, and there'll now be a new one chosen. What would you go for and why?
  2. sadly passed to the other side a great player and for anyone under 40 the first british million pound signing
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46078651 what a crock of shite
  4. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23601975.blackburn-rovers-sign-tom-bloxham-tottenham-hotspur/ Spurs allowed Bloxham to spend time on trial during the 2022/23 campaign, playing once for Rovers Under-18s at the end of 2022 and then twice for the Under-21s at the turn of the year. He started in the Under-21 games against Brighton and Fulham in February, both away from home, and was on the bench for the Premier League 2 fixture against Leicest Just spotted this one, another early signing. Think he will feature this season?
  5. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/sport/2023/06/football-all-whites-friendly-against-qatar-abandoned-after-claims-michael-boxall-racially-abused.html
  6. Excellent achievement for Gary Bowyer in his first season in Scottish football as manager of Dundee FC. Champions after beating Owen Coyle’s Queens Park in the title decider tonight in an 8 goal thriller. He’ll be pitting his wits against Celtic and Rangers next season. Well done, Gary.
  7. Daniel Ayala! DANIEL AYALA! He hates the Saudi's He loves the Rovers DANI AYALAAAAA! He's signed... Discuss.
  8. Who was your Player of the Season ? Take a look here... https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/articles/brfcs-end-of-season-review/406
  9. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-mowbray-sunderland-love-26882011 Aye you loved us so much you gave us 2 in 17 👍👍 I'm glad you didn't hate us hahaha.
  10. Feels like it deserves its own thread! CLUB STATEMENT: TONY MOWBRAY
  11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65502322 The EFL has confirmed a new Sky Sports deal which will see both a significant increase in income for clubs and matches shown. Aside from the slight issue that I think we last won a Sky featured match back in the 90s, a seemingly good deal?
  12. Thought this deserved its own thread. In 23 days Rovers have twelve players out of contract who will be free to make an agreement with foreign clubs to join them on a free in September 2021. These include - Lewis Holtby Ryan Nyambe Bradley Dack (club have a 12 month option to activate) Joe Rothwell Joe Rankin Costello See LancsLive article here with, IMO, some very concerning quotes from Mowbray: https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-contracts-update-mowbray-19419343 How on earth have we got in a situation where we can lose 4 (maybe even 5) key players for nothing this year? How much would it cost to replace these players? Why have we committed funds to the likes of Downing - who hardly plays - when Mowbray says money is tight?
  13. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-united-phil-jones-tv-29832651 It must be a slow news day! Rovers have made a ‘cameo’ in the TV series Succession. Rovers v Rangers in the 2010 at the Sydney Festival of Football 😄 (Apologies if this has already been posted)
  14. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/28af1308-e416-11ed-92e1-c61d17e3691f?shareToken=53d7abbdbbea4dcd2bf7370255901163
  15. 7 years to the day since the imposter left, as we continue to endure his rotten legacy. Well done and thanks to the “1%” who never gave up fighting and maintained the conditions which ultimately forced him out. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/19736471 https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2012/sep/28/steve-kean-resign-blackburn-rovers We won’t be rid of his stench until we are back in the PL but having worried that he would never go, the relief on 29th September 2012 was palpable. Never forgive, never forget.
  16. Sadly Bill Bancroft has passed away. He was he Rovers Chairman during some really difficult times and like many from the era sacrificed a lot for the good of the club and in many ways kept the club going helping to give us what we have today. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/11/former-chairman-sadly-passes-away/
  17. 4,000 Holes will return in 2021/22 with five new issues planned. Since the landmark 100th edition in February 2020, lockdown has prevented any new fanzines to be produced due to the loss of usual sales at the ground. Issue 101 will be released in August on the opening day of the new season when Rovers face Swansea City at Ewood. Subscriptions are available for just £10 which covers Issues 101 to 105 and includes all postage (for UK customers). Previous subscribers who are still due the delayed Issue 101 are able to get a reduction so that they are not paying double for that issue. Please use the following link to order: https://roversfanzine.bigcartel.com/product/4-000-holes-subscriptions-2021-22
  18. https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/articles/charity-football-match-for-former-rovers-legends/369 A great event for three wonderful causes close to the heart of all Rovers fans... BRFCS is proudly sponsoring the match ball on behalf of us all... FURTHER DETAILS TICKETS
  19. As part of the BRFCS sponsorship package for Saffron Jordan, we have secured a matchworn shirt from Millie Chandarana #17 - signed by the squad & complete with a certificate of authenticity from Rovers. We would like it to go to a good home where it might be appreciated &/or used to raise funds for a good cause for instance. We were thinking it would be great to donate it to a junior football club in the East Lancashire area - that operates a girls team, for obvious reasons - & the club can then choose to frame & display it or raffle it off to raise money etc. If you are involved in junior football in Lancashire, fit the bill as described & would like to be considered for the shirt - please reply to this post below with contact details [Name, Club Name, Location, email address]. If we get multiple requests, we will draw out a lucky winner. Entries by 31/3/23 please.
  20. Great news I'm hearing on the grapevine that Rovers owners Venkys are close to a deal to sell the club. Talks have been ongoing for several months and an agreement was finalised this week with an announcement scheduled for Monday morning. The deal includes all the debt and the chicken farming conglomerate will cut all ties with the club after more than 12 tumultuous years. The possible bad news The buyers for Rovers are Butterball, one of America’s most iconic brands and best known for its turkeys and turkey products, which it sells around the world. Butterball is headquartered in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. Butterball, led by CEO Kerry Doughty who has connections in the area Lancashire going back to the 1850s, are said to keen to follow other US corporate investors into the English football market and see Rovers as the ideal club to further their ambitions. So there it is. That's all I know and while many Rovers fans will be greatly relieved to see the departure of the Indian owners there will be some trepidation at the prospect of another unknown foreign buyer taking over. I would say however that the information comes from a reliable sauce
  21. I learnt at the weekend that Rovers had an offer accepted for Emile Heskey in early 1994 when he was just 16 and had yet to make his first-team debut for Leicester City If that's common knowledge I'll hold my hands up and admit I'd never heard it before but it was certainly news to me
  22. The BRFCS POTM for March is Lewis Travis...congratulations to the skipper for a fine month 👏👏👏 MOTM template .mp4
