  1. Saw it mentioned in the game thread . Who else nearly shat they're pants at halftime yesterday. I genuinely thought it was a bomb at first, then I thought rovers were having a pyro show and then I saw groundstaff shit it. Still can't believe no safety announcement after either. I've done stupid things in my life and thank god no social media was around but I have never let a huge firework go off in a football ground with fans in . What an absolute bellend whoever did this . No idea if the dickeads got caught or not but if they did I hope the rats got an attempted murder charge. It came over the Riverside and landed in the middle , imagine if it had ( could of easily) hit one of the groundstaff or landed in the crowd. Imagine it hit a child . Disgusting vile behaviour that. Yes I'm ranting but still can't believe the stupidity of it.
  2. 23 year old striker from Borussia Mönchengladbach. Never heard of him before, but he's apparently made mincemeat of the lower German divisions (Regionalliga is the German fourth tier). Hope he'll come good on Championship level as well.
  3. Can't think of a more worthy winner - Sir Kenneth Dalglish 👋👋👋
  4. Great news. However I'm sceptical. What's the release clause in this contract?
  5. We Are The Rovers and representatives from the Fans Forum have been in discussions with the club around implementing safe standing at Ewood. As part of this we want to get the opinions of as many supporters as possible, so please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey at the link below: Click here to complete the survey
  6. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/15/sondre-signs-/ Welcome Sondre!
  7. Welcome to the biggest club on planet earth (and beyond) Wonder where JDT see's him fitting in...as a No10 or out wide? The blurb on the official site says he can play both.

  9. We have great news for all those folks who saw the photos of our 60’s style retro shirts being posted on here last year & thought… ”Why on earth didn’t I order one when they were on sale ?” 😫 We are delighted to confirm that our supplier Ribero can accommodate another order and the really exciting news is that this time, not only are we offering LONG-SLEEVED shirts…we are also offering SHORT-SLEEVED versions - just in time for your spring/summer holidays ! There’s more…not only are all of these available in ADULT sizes…they are now also available in JUNIOR sizes. Just as before, we will take orders for a fixed period (until 1st March at 10pm) & then much like the transfer window…the shirt sale window will slam shut - so place your order in good time to avoid FOMO (I think that’s what the kids call it…). Pricing All shirts will once again be £25 (irrespective of size/sleeve option ordered) plus the relevant postage & packing. For UK addresses this will be £5 per shirt. For Europe addresses this will be £10 per shirt. For RoW addresses this will cost £15 per shirt. How do I order ? Click here to order Please complete the form together, with your credit card details before 10pm on Wednesday 1st March 2023. In the event that the production run is cancelled (for whatever reason) then full refunds will of course be provided & all prospective purchasers will be advised accordingly. When can I expect delivery ? We are looking to place our order with Ribero on Monday 6th March - Ribero have advised that manufacture and delivery to us will take approximately 6-8 weeks from this point. Realistically therefore we are looking at posting out some time from the beginning of May. Posting out the first order last year coincided quite beautifully with industrial action in the Royal Mail 🤷‍♂️ but we did successfully manage to post every shirt within a week of receipt & whilst clearly no responsibility can be taken in the event of delays beyond our control e.g. container ships becoming stuck in the Suez Canal… Putin declaring war on the UK, that sort of thing…we will do our very best for you… We will of course keep everyone advised of progress via this forum thread. By buying one of these shirts, it demonstrates that the wearer has a finely-tuned sense of what constitutes a classic football design & wishes to pay homage to a different era in Rovers history; and of course It helps us to keep BRFCS running..! Here's that short-sleeve design in use at Ewood... Sizing The shirts will be available in the following JUNIOR & ADULT sizes - the seam to seam measurement “Chest (B)” is probably the most useful to identify which is the right one for you. Please note that the size chart is in INCHES.
  10. Looks like we get him for free to boost our defence! Thoughts?
  11. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23760103.blackburn-rovers-sign-james-hill-loan-bournemouth/ He's signed. Think he will be part of the first team this season? Not the experience we need but looks good.. Apparently he's a Bristol lad! The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut against West Ham in the opening weekend of the season, coming on as a second-half substitute. Looks like they rate him enough to give him his PL debut.. "We are really pleased that Bournemouth recognise that our brand of football and training environment were the perfect fit for James to play his football this season.”
  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67160330 From the above - FA Cup third and fourth round replays are expected to be scrapped as part of reforms to the English football calendar’ Reform means ‘make changes to something in order to improve it’ - and who does this ‘reform’ help? Yes, as usual, it’s the biggest few clubs in the country who, without a hint of irony, moan about fixture congestion whilst also pushing for the enlargement of the European competitions. I for one will welcome the day when they finally disappear up their own arses and into a closed shop ‘super league’ Rant over…at least for now.
  13. Remember going up there in the late 80s and having a right laugh. Also remember loads of refugees pitching up in the 90s ? Romanians I think fleeing from the horrible beast who's name is can't spell. ChowchessQ ?
  14. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/entertainment-arts-46476369 RIP Mr Shelley one of the voices of my youth.
  15. Annual thread awaiting details and leaks on the shirts. Can anyone confirm if we need a new sponsor for next season? Looking back to when TW was announced, can't find any details over the length of the agreement. Perhaps something which can be asked at the Fans Forum?
  16. Hi, I’m after a bit of help here. I bought a 125 year anniversary shirt at auction a couple of years back that was signed by a multitude of legends and players from that season but have absolutely no idea where to start with identifying them. I’m looking to move it on if I’m able to authenticate them as I’ve got 2 more and now need to free some space (for more shirts). I’ve added a few photos of the signatures and any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
  17. I bought two tickets on Monday for QPR, normally they arrive within a couple of days. They haven’t so far, so went to contact Ewood to discuss and find out what’s happened with them. Seems lines are down and you have to leave a message for them to contact you. Yeah, like that’s going to happen. We not paid last months phone bill? Lol
  18. Sad, sad news https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/august/mike-ferguson-09.03.43---27.08.19/ RIP Mike, one of my childhood heroes
  19. What does everyone think of the Arsenal song - North London is ours - they play before every home game Personally think its very apt and a good song to enhance atmosphere at home games and make the ground a fortress Do you think with our history rovers could have one ? Interested to hear views? I was bored on a train the other day and wrote some lyrics for a rovers song, does anyone know a local band who may be interested to write the music?
  20. Absolutely awful news that Matt is no longer with us. He’s the voice of match day for many Rovers fans that are new supporters and if anyone had the chance to meet him he was a true gent.
  21. It's 22 years today since Rovers greatest supporter passed away. He gave us probably the greatest day of our footballing lives and lots of other memories that will never leave us. RIP Jack. "

  23. Season wrapped up means in the next few weeks the pre season schedule should be coming to light. anyone heard of anything so far ? As expected I believe they will be heading to Spain or something on a weeks training camp, would like to see us play accy Stanley again, matches against Stockport and salfird would be good tests, hopefully a trip to Scotland again too
