  1. Firstly, thank you for reading this thread, as I am aware there are quite a few similar topics that go on. I am hopeful that the football link involved will capture some attentions!!We are three serving police officers from Sheffield, South Yorkshire and in July, we will be taking on the challenge of visiting all 92 football league grounds in 92 hours. Within our trio, we have an Owl, a Blade and Spurs fan (That generally gets asked quite quickly!)One car, 3 cops, 92 grounds, 92 hours, 2,400 miles. We are taking on this challenge to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity, which suppor

  3. Does Phil Jones have a sell on clause that could benefit us financially? Even if so, would that be rendered neutral because he's leaving United in a part-exchange deal? If anyone knows let me know, started a new topic for it as didn't know where else to place.
  4. Heard a couple of weeks ago that Rovers were moving on from Northcote providing the hospitality and now it seems to have been confirmed. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/17460472.northcote-deal-at-blackburn-rovers-comes-to-an-end/?ref=twtrec Vinjay will be happy. To be honest I've been in the Red Rose suite quite a few times on matchday and the bar offering is dreadful. Hopefully an improvement will come.

  7. An Exclusive reported on-line on the " Independent's " website .... " The Football Association and the Football League have backed a proposal from The National Association of Football Statisticians to downgrade the first 22 years of the FA Cup, to the equivilant of the FA Amateur Cup which commenced in 1893-94, and ran until the 1973-74 season. The years affected run from 1872 to 1893, and the winners of the Cup for those years will not be permitted to claim these successes as FA Cup wins on their official Club websites or publications. Explaining the reasoning, N.A.F.S. Secretary, Dr Jo

  11. Fascinating story and one I wasn't aware of. He was the architect behind just about every major football ground in the country from the 1890s - 1930s, including Ewood. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-48028660 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archibald_Leitch

  13. Rovers Trust has worked tirelessly over the last 8 years to persuade the FA, Premier League and English Football League in order to improve the safeguarding of the organisation and control of our Football Clubs. The Trust has decided to embrace a new medium and take the fight to the theatre to show the anxiety and devastation of being a true fan in these circumstances. Blackburn Rovers was an original founding member of the football league; therefore, the Rovers' Trust should also lead from the front and stage this production, not just for Rovers' fans, but also for the fans of clubs like

  15. Hello lads and lasses, I am trying to find out some information about a former Blackburn Rovers played called Brian Hill. I am just wondering if any of you know what he's up to these days, or can either put me in contact with him or him in contact with me. The reason for this is because he also played for my team, Huddersfield Town, and I am trying to get in touch with him about that period in his career. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks.

  17. With European football taking precedence over league football this weekend, Chorley FC extend a warm welcome to Victory Park for their league game against Leamington on Saturday. Top-of-the-table, Chorley will be looking to extend their lead over Stockport County as the end of the season draws ever-closer. For once, the weather forecast is for a dry Saturday, so why not come along and re-live the days of standing on the terraces, a few pre-match pints of real ale in the social club and swapping ends at half-time! As a gesture for Blackburn Rovers season ticket holders, we have reduced the pric
  18. So after an absolutely shocking run you might expect the players to be dragged in during the international break for extra training or meetings - at least for those who aren’t called up for international duty. Dack and Williams are instead off to Dubai for some sunshine. The tough life of a second tier footballer. Is it any wonder that we are in the position we are when we have players booked on a flight the day after a match? Don’t think I’d be risking an injury when I’ve got a holiday planned. Do the players actually care? Can Mowbray instil any discipline? Has he told them al
  19. So the club have released a statement about racist abuse received by Williams on social media. Fan banned and police involved. Does anyone know if the abuse was related to him being black or being Irish?
  20. @Art_of_football on Twitter have kindly given us this Rovers t-shirt to give away. To do so, answer the above question right and a winner will be picked by 9am this coming Monday. Helpful tip, listen to the Don Mackay podcast...
  21. Leading on from a separate thread and as the title suggests, who would you rather have and why? Personally I quite like watching City play so it’s them for me.

  23. Ticket prices announced, a bargain £33 for adults for a clash of bottom half 2nd division sides likely to be a dead rubber game.
