Ozz
I know there is at least one Trust thread already, but with the recent election complete and a board shake up underway, I think it`s fair to start fresh. Please try and stay on topic. From the Rovers Trust Website. The elected members of the new Rovers Trust Board (Steven Bradley, Michael Doherty, Ozz Jones and John Murray) met for the first time on Saturday 15 April. We would like to thank members for their votes and the faith placed in us to take things forward and build on the work of the previous Board. We agreed that John Murray would become the next Chair of the Trust, with Ozz Jones as Vice-Chair. Michael Doherty will lead on legal and policy issues and on liaison with external bodies. Steven Bradley will lead on communications and social media. We feel that this reflects the balance between change and continuity that the election results communicated. Strengthening the Board with people with the right expertise and enthusiasm is an immediate priority and steps are underway to co-opt further Board members. Whatever happens in these final games of the season, our club is in dire straits and the Trust has a lot of work to do. We need more members and more active involvement from existing members. We know there is an appetite for this from members and we are seeking ways to involve you more in both formal and informal ways. We have every confidence that you will respond actively and creatively! We are meeting again in less than two weeks and are working with the previous Board on an effective transition. If you have any immediate questions or offers of help then please contact us on enquiries@roverstrust.co.uk http://mailchi.mp/roverstrust/a-message-from-the-new-board

Stuart
It would be fantastic if one of the early aims of the Trust was to draw on the talent pool offered by the FF, the Ewood WMC group and the Action Group. One central organisation, or at least a coalition reinvigorating the KGH opportunity, ready for when the time comes and we need to all be pulling in the same direction.
Paul
Ozz, am I correct in thinking the five elected members make up the whole board? No other members? What is the position regarding a secretary and treasurer?
Baz
Agree with Stuart. Also think that the Trust should try and gain the asset of community value status on Brockhall, the club use the facility to provide training sessions for several years below professional ages, so would that count as a Reason? What is the position regarding a secretary and treasurer? There are only four elected. Me MD JM and SB. The secretary is outside of this snd is not an elected position. Treasurer will be a co-opted board member. Co-opted board members must not be make up the majority of the board.

WAR didn't get off the ground because it didn't have any members to drive it forward. Following the Blakeys meeting, fans stayed in the pre-existing groups. A group of fans came together at the first Ewood Park WMC meeting on 05.10.16 who had never met before and weren't affiliated to any of the existing groups. They were able to keep those meetings going and also involve the existing groups. Those meetings have been held twice a month ever since. The next meeting is 7.30 Tuesday 25 April, Ewood Park WMC. All welcome. Edited April 20, 2017 by MCMC1875

Although there's no physical presence, it's the history, culture, visitors to the local area etc that to me says it's definitely an asset to the local community. Indeed, new RT chairman John Murray and ex board member and now part of new team Ozz, Brags mark fish and Paul keogh, Ewood Blues passionate Birdy, then popular independents whom blog and research rovers amongst other reps of groups. Dunnfc
no but we need to be mindful of what comes next and get the groundwork in now for it. great blog on the pompey missery, suggest you take five mins out to read it all guys - http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/portsmouth/news/18346/hall-right-now-revealed--the-true-story-behind-ali-al-faraj

No. I want to know what the Trust realistically think this could achieve? What's the realistic best case scenario? What are we actually asking the Sports Minister to do? Whilst it's fair enough supporters trusts trying to stop this happening again in the future, I don't believe anything that happens here can force Venkys to sell.Even in the aims given on the trust website. It's not an anti-trust view. It's just like re-living what BRAG did 4 years ago. Edited April 23, 2017 by Hasta
47er
Other way round isn't it? Until they speak to her, they won't know what can be done. At the very least it puts continued pressure on Government and keeps the issue upfront.

You think she might have some solution. Sounds like blind faith. The government feel no pressure from this issue. It is better than doing nothing, but as someone who supports the club, I just would like to know what positive outcome we can expect?
