  1. Hey can someone enlighten me on the meaning of the V-sign? Seems to me like a harmless gesture
  2. 1994. Blackburn played Liverpool and it was one of the rare occasions that footy was shown on Singapore TV then.
  3. i think the next game against palace will be crucial in shaping our season. if we win, which we should, then we can look forward to less stressful days ahead. if we lose or draw then... i think by end-March we should have ourselves at least in 14th place. if not, a late surge by Southampton or one of the newly promoted clubs could catch us offguard in 1999, we were 16th with 31 pts from 28 games (or 28 from 31, i'm not sure) and sitting quite comfy above the bottom 4. then we managed to pick up 4 pts from the last 10 games (or 7 from 7), including a loss to then about-to-set-(but didnt)-lowest-ever-pts-in-premiership Nottingham Forest. Southampton were way below us at that stage but they had a late surge which kept them aloat. we've had good end-season results in the past few years, and hopefully this will continue.
  4. Have you ever considered that Dunn reads this messageboard? I think almost every Rovers fan, including him, knows about this board. Perhaps our uncalled for criticisms of Dunn (e.g. fat B******, lazy, fat, slow, fat, unfit, fat, doesnt give a damn, fat) hastened his departure.
  5. He's an exceptional player, be it at Newcastle, Manure, or Fulham and certainly at Blackburn. Though he didnt really score while he was at Rovers, he certainly put if a lot of effort and created many chances for others to do so. Even at the age of 33 at Fulham, he's already scored 5-6 goals. There's no doubting his pedigree and we certainly should give him a warm reception at Ewood.
  6. i never wanted dunn to leave. but obviously the 5 m quid was welcome but whether it was put to good use is still debatable. i think that if we could get dunn in the january transfer window for 2-3m and another striker, it would be great for the club. and of course if we survive this season and do relatively well, and southampton screws up, then perhaps we'll have a reunion of the real blackburn boys
  7. i think we're in the same situation as Norwich. wins are much more important now than those 2-pts-per-win times. like leicester and man city last year, their inability to win (or lose) really cost them. i think hughes should instill a winning mentality soon (e.g. sam allardyce? david moyes?making Bolton? everton? players watch schumacher win F1), before it gets too late. with southampton, palace, west brom and norwich being almost as **** as us, i think we still have a high chance of survival. But action has to be taken soon.
  8. dont forget there are asians supporting blackburn in Asia itself. Hong Kong and Singapore seem to be places that rovers can try to tap into. losing to bournemouth helps too! at least blackburn gets one whole page to itself in the New Paper for once
  9. What's dangerous for Rovers now, is that Souness just doesnt know what to do anymore. You can see it through his scuffles with Dennis Rofe after the Southampton match, and not appearing for the press conference after thr Leicester one. From what i see, it seems that Souness has completely lost the plot and is so frustrated and gutted as all his tactics are not working. What we need now is a manager with new ideas and new tactics.
