  1. I think Peter is our fastest player. I'm sure he actually made a yard or 2 on Cristiano Ronaldo when he chased him back 50 yards in the 90th minute of the United game. He got booked ensuing for the challenge but still.
  2. It was the BRFCS flag I think. They had some 3ft x 5ft Rovers flags on sale in the club shop at the last few games. They're pretty poor quality but were only £3.
  3. Just joined the BRFCS one now, wouldn't let me join earlier for some reason. Cocker - by the looks of things I'm another mini league with you, small world eh?!
  4. I thought Henry ran his socks off. Should have buried those chances but you can't accuse him of lack of effort.
  5. I have a horrible feeling about this one. I keep thinking back to 01/02 when we lost to Leicester away from home late in the season when they were all but doomed. That said, this team does seem to be a lot stronger mentally then under Souness.
  6. Does anyone know the dates the Inter-Toto rounds would be played? Has it been announced yet?
  7. Seems to be tactical. Emmo on for Bentley.
  8. Danny Murphy would have been ideal, but I think a central midfield pairing of Reid and Savage is plenty creative enough, for away games at least.
  9. Would have been nice if they could have posted photos of the shirts instead of/aswell as the drawings. I can'y believe the blue on the second away shirt could be that bright in real life.
  10. I think point 4.6.2, the Ewood Express, is a fantatic idea. At the moment I'm living in Lancaster and I don't drive, so my only option is to take the train which costs about £12 return. Say Rovers put a coach on from up here, charge maybe £4 for a return trip (or whatever is sufficient to cover costs) and hey presto, Rovers have made my match day experience £8 cheaper and it hasn't cost them a penny. It's also alot more convienient with no worries about delayed/canceled trains, I won't have to make the walk from Mill Hill the ground and it would also be quicker. I think you'd also find alot of car drivers would use the service provided the price was reasonable given all the car parking issues around Ewood.
  11. Is it me of does this Dado guy appear to a bit of a arrogant c o c k judging by his posts. He's made some very insightful posts. I don't mind him hanging around at all.
  12. I can't see Savage having the respect of the players straight away so I wouldn't pick him. For me it's a toss up between Todd and Dickov.
  13. ...and Andy Cole was playing in a much better Rovers side for at least half of his 2 year spell here. To be fair though, I thought Cole involved the players around him better, but that's certainly no criticism of Dickov.
  14. I think credit should go to our full-backs. Looking at how Fulham lined up, it was obvious they were going to play Cole as a lone striker, with Malbranque and Radzinski getting forward to make it a 4-3-3 when Fulham had posession. But Nissa and Niell got forward enough to occupy the Fulham wide men with defensive duties and hence Cole was incredibley isolated up top and everytime Fulham cleared the ball it just came straight back at them. Thought Gally and Dickov looked good, but Dickov has now missed a couple of one-on-ones that he really should be burrying at this level. Also, I think Gally's first touch let him down on a couple of occasions but his movement off the ball, both when he drifted wide and inside the box were first class. Emo was superb, I lost count of the number of times he went past a defender in a one-on-one situation. I still think he's slightly lacking in the end product department, though. There was a couple of times he shot when a pass would have been the better option, and he didn't quite look on the same wave-length as Gally in particullar when he did opt to cross, but I guess that's to be expected.
  15. Our woeful run in cup competitions continues. Not all bad though, good to see Gally and MGP on the scoresheet.
  16. Fair play to Dunny for doing the interview and the draw. He's moved on, and in Bazza we've got easily a better player, so maybe some of the bitterness is a bit over the top That said, I am certianly not going to applaud him at half time or any other time. Now he's at Brum he's just another opposition player.
