  1. Fixtures will be released 10am, hoping for 'pool at home, a good old lucas neil challenge on there new striker, resulting in maybe a season ending injury, would feel alot better on the season ahead!! Joking of course, could not wish that upon anyone
  2. The fact that every prem match this season where morten has scored, and thats quite a few, we have gone on to win. There are not many left wingers out there, with two great feet, can score 12+ a season and can gives the assists and the joy to the fans that he does. Hughes would not sell him, only if a bid 15m plus came in and that would be due to the board pressure to sell. The three best and most talked about in the press players (Bellers, Peds and Reid) we have seem to be the players we talk about leaving all the time. These are the players we should hang on to and build around! Thats my two pence worth anywho.
  3. I was massively impressed with savo all through the game at villa, that man hates loosing and will do almost anything to make sure it doesn't happen. The one point in the villa game that stood out for me was when a villa player was injured and nelson, todd and savo were having a discussion about tactics. I could see that sav was explaining the problem over balls over our defence and baros and co running on to them, todd dismissed it and walked away. I much prefer a vocal cap that makes things happen on the field both making decisions himself and relaying the decisions from sidelines. As much as I think Andy Todd is an absolute legend I think the captains armband should be passed to sav.
  4. Can't believe what has happened, this is bloody awful in a friendly! I think the money that we have paid to Espenyol to play us should be given back in full!!!!!
  5. Being at univeristy in Hertfordshire and having an exam this afternoon i unfortunately could not make it, i'm so happy that as someone else has said things were put to rest. Sounded like a fantastic night, sent shivers down my spine when a mr A.Shearer got on the ball for the first time and the crowd started chanting. Just like to say the fans that made it to the game did us proud tonight 13k is a great reception for someone who has put most of his life into the club. I for one salute Tony Parkes from the fans of this fantastic club that could not be there to thank him ourselves tonight.
  6. Totally agree with you kenny, i think the man is a blackburn legend, i do not blame him one bit for leaving to go newcastle when he did. Hated it when he came back and got booed like he did. I think its fantastic that he is coming back to say thanks to tony, and a final thank you to the fans of rovers who still see him as the best player ever to pull on a rovers shirt.
  7. I think the cross supplied for the goal makes up for it!
  8. Really would like to disagree with that thread but now with SWP back think dom might struggle with the pace. Would like to think we can keep it tight and maybe nick one, but manc always seem to be able to get the goals in at ewood. Would love to beat them, bit of pressure on them in the table then maybe even poke our heads into the top half after if a few good results after that!
  9. Maybe good news for wednesday, no dodgey penos hopefully. Johnson Doubt gonna go for a close 2-1 on this one with late winner from emerton who i really think should start from miss firing thommo
  10. Alot has been made out of something that I did not really think of until the journey home listening to the media. I would agree that we did put in some cynical fouls, but if thats the way to break down play so be it, it is in my mind far less than being a diving playacting team (that in most people in the medias eyes is good football). I have to say I was very very proud to be a rovers supporter today, 30k arsenal fans absolutely dead silent for first 20 at least and just as silent when there 2nd goal went in. Had a brilliant day down there, it was our final and certainly the fans came with the attitude that it was. My man of the match in my eyes was Patrick Viera thought he was quite outstanding, our man gotta be friedel superb saves that meant that he really should not have been on the loosing side especially by the margin that we did. Lack of high quality striker showed again today but overall I was impressed especially first 20, we were playing football then as most pundits have failed to mention.
  11. I have to say i disagree with anybody that does not support the english teams in the champions league. At the end of the day an english team doing well in europe who ever they are is good for the english game. Last nights game was honestly one of the finest games i've seen in my life, had it all really, and i'm not going to lie I did cheer when terry scored. Not ashamed at all. You never boyz we could be back there one day!
