  1. I know this is speculative - but I posted earlier in this thread that I was told last Aug(by a solid source) that both TM and SW were leaving at the end of the season

If that is true (and for TM it clearly was) is it just possible that SW is just going through the motions with no real intent of finding anybody?

Come 30 June he walks away and we are really up shit creek?

    The story is not 'bollux'.

I am told Waggott took the call.

I was given the same info....and suspect that is where the story in Lancs Live emanated from - either directly or indirectly

When told - my reaction was to question the sources state of inebriation

But on reflection it makes sense - Maybe Ancellotti had been asked by a previous employee to put in a good word?

If I had that kind of connection I would certainly use it

A little update on Lenihan, a mate of mine who works for Rovers was talking to Waggot last week trying to get any names re new manager but he wouldn’t give anything away, but he did say that Lenihan and his agent are happy with the contract/ money Rovers are offering but thinks he’s hanging on until the new manager is named. No mention of Nyambe..

Don't know if it all ready been posted

But I was informed Lenihan was going to sign the day we played Bournemouth but it didn't happen for some reason

As for signing contracts - and to some degree deciding a new manager I would guess most people employed in football are with their families on "annual Leave"

Despite your (and others) reservations about ticket sales, you will be surprised to see the club are in fact on track to reach the pre-pandemic level of sales looking at the numbers sold so far.

Do you know the actual figure?

Because that sounds like sales BS to me (not from you, but whoever is claiming sales are on course for pre-pandemic levels)

If sales are at a scary low level (and I suspect they are) - they are hardly likely to own that and declare "its a fookin disaster" are they?

we did`nt have the first team training on it this year ,like they did last year during bad weather,i never figured that one out when we have indoor facilities at brockhall?????

I'm convinced that was so the surveyors could move into Brockhall for the ill fated sell off plan? By all accounts the groundsman warned against it - but they "ploughed" on and destroyed the surface regardless

  6. There seems to be genuine surprise on here about what is unfolding at present.

I was told at the end of Aug last year that both Mowbray and Waggott were leaving this summer and this info was known by staff at Ewood.

This info looks like its coming to fruition?

My immediate reaction at the time was this "Thanks for Update - only downside I suppose is that they are hardly going to be motivated for this season? its just a shit show"

I honestly feel this is all part of a plan to leave us as deep in the shite as possible (like some disgruntled ex-employees would in a similar position?)

Maybe the SW/TM chat went along the lines of - who would piss the fan base off the most? Oh they hate ********** I'll give him the job as a parting gift!!

  7. I don't post often on here but on the Joe Rothwell's fathers conversation

Has anyone considered that he will only be repeating what his son has "told him"

I told my dad watered down, biased versions of practically all my life events, usually to stop him worrying and often slanting tales to paint me in a better light - maybe this is what JR has done?

As for the topic itself - Mowbray

At the start of this season probably a 5.5 over his whole tenure (although I wanted him gone during last seasons collapse, and was convinced that if there had been fans in the ground - he would have been fired!)

Now he is 2/10 - and any good will he had earned over his time has evaporated

Wimbledon away in the League One season is genuinely the coldest I have ever been in my life. Was during the "Beast from the East", think it was about -5c but felt more like -10c with the wind chill.

It was a cold night - I'm still amazed they managed to keep the game on.

    Good Night though!

  9. Well done on the win and we are close to certain survival but.....................

Reading some of the posts on here I am really struggling to come to terms with some of the naive comments. Believe it or not we have already entered a critical period for next season and nothing at all has been done. Who is talking to the out of contract players? Who is deciding who stays and who goes? Who has identified any potential targets? Who is planning pre-season training? Who is planning the friendlies? Who is deciding season ticket prices? Who is targeting potential sponsors? There are lots of other things that should be happening but you can bet your bottom dollar they won't be.

We really need to hit the ground running next season and a good start is imperative. With none of the above being done at the moment I believe we will be in exactly the same position next season where we will be fighting to stay in the league and celebrating a win at the likes of Millwall like we have won the FA Cup.

Great Post - a repeat of last seasons summer debacle looms!
