  1. i think you need to be a reader of the exceedingly crap comic Viz to get my sense of humour. Apologies for the confusion
  2. As pointed out above, Barton misses this match due to a one match suspension. I can't believe nobody has commented how ludicrously lenient a one-match suspension is for race-hate murder. Or something.
  3. I've seen that ZZ guy play. He's utter rubbish. Believe me, within a couple of years he'll have disappeared to the murky depths of the Scottish 3rd division or somewhere similar
  4. was sat next to Jack Straw- what an affable guy he is. I wonder if I was checked out by the security services when I bought my match ticket!? Message to those who chanted 'BNP' at him during half-time: YOU ARE COMPLETE MORONS
  5. Anybody know how the ticket sales are going for this one? Hoping to be able to phone for one first thing tomorrow
  6. My brother is in London tonight and doesn't fancy watching the game alone. If any London Rovers are meeting up, please PM me with location details asap so I can pass them on much appreciated
  7. Don't be silly, that would involve the FA using common sense. Knowing them they would likely move it to Highbury or White Hart Lane. No, using common sense would have meant them arranging to stage it somewhere else in the first place. A lot of people have booked hotel rooms and planes / trains / buses by now. The plane I have booked is non-refundable Perhaps Lee could give us an update on the arrangements, or give us an idea when we are likely to hear more?
  8. Channel 4 News reported this evening that our game is on the Saturday. That's 2 sources now, so think we can just about take it as fact
  9. Can anybody find a link with confirmation of which game is on which date yet??? Or do you know when this is likely to be announced?
  10. A worthy cause, but probably far too late to change plans I'm afraid
  11. This'll be a tough game. The Leicester manager, Craig Levein, is one of the best up and coming managers around. He'll make sure city are well organised and highly motivated. - Just as well we've got Hughesy then. 1-0 Rovers
  12. another top performance from Nelson yesterday. Can anybody think of a better value signing this season?? I wish every Monday felt this good!
  13. in case any of you are interested see here reckon it'll go for a couple of thou at least
  14. Bobby G said on the previous page that the Independent was reporting the same story. doh! Pays to read back a page or 2. Just hope we're still in the Premiership come summertime. Bellamy will be a great signing assuming Hughes can keep control of him
  15. Very exciting if it's true, but I haven't seen anyone else running that story, so it could well just be speculation.
  16. not so sure- what the Toon fans think has a lot of sway within the club, and I reckon the majority wouldn't want him back
  17. Spot on! Anyone else got a blackburn shirt with Ferguson on the back? What the hell am I going to do with that...?! what bout my username then better get it changed, How do i change it What are you planning to change it to?? May I suggest bazzathefailed ??? (Took me a while to think of that one as all the ones that came to mind at first broke mb rules about use of language!)
  18. Thank the Lord that's over. And I can go back to thoroughly disliking the wee ned again.
  19. Waggy, Rangers were £76m in debt. The share issue "only" raised £52m so they failed to raise the money they hoped for. Actually that's the exact amount they planned to raise through the rights issue. Tut tut. I seem to remember hearing that most of that moeny actually came direct from David Murray's pocket
  20. (the original) Gally's got my vote
  21. that's no official squad, just their reckoning of who is available to play. Looks like they've plain forgotten about Bazza, as they give no reason for him not being listed
  22. Good point Hughesy, what will the new boys' impression be of the home support if they are booing one of their own players???
  23. Agree with some of the sentiments recently aired (e.g. RoverTheHill, YorkshireBlue) I, like probably every other member of this message-board, was extremely disappointed by Bazza's transfer request- particularly the lack of ambition it seemed to show. However, while he's still a Rovers player, we should all be behind him (or, if you can't do that, at least don't boo him). At the moment it's not definite that he's going anywhere. Who knows, he might end up staying, settling down, and being our best player for the next few years. Unlikely, yes, but if people get on his back, IMPOSSIBLE. Also, booing Ferguson will have a negative effect on the WHOLE team, and we can't afford that to happen in the position we're in. So, BACK HIM or SHUT UP please (if you vent your anger, keep it to this message-board)!
  24. 2-0 Bolton Due to a misfiring midfield, with Savage probably not match-fit, and Ferguson having his mind on other things... Hope I'm wrong
