  1. Maybe the American Government might reconsider signing the Kyoto agreement about global warming. With the waters in the Gulf the warmest on record this won't be the last hurricane this season. The scientists were not listened too in the past but just maybe they might be heard now. Its a tragedy so many people suffered because the powers that be didn't want to know.
  2. How many captains or ex-captains do we need? Half the team seem to have been captain somewhere or other.
  3. You don't win games without scoring goals and our strikers are not doing that right now. Hence a stiker is a must - another centre back would be nice but has to be second behind a new striker. Dickov is not premiership material, Stead lacks confidence big time, Bothroyd is talented but not reliable, Gallagher is not and never will be a 15 goals a season striker and Jansen doesn't look like ever returning to his best. The loss of Andy Cole was the writing on the wall.
  4. Can the coaching staff teach the players that throw in can go forwards and that once in a while a long throw might be needed. It seemed every single "attacking" throw in went backwards.
  5. I'd make Yorke and Cole play on opposite sides in 5 aside constantly until one of them injures the other. At least an insurance pay-out would cover the wages.
  6. Rovers should make a deal with Tromsø where he can stay with them til the end of the Norwegian season. MGP has potential, sure but he isn't going to turn up at Ewood and be an overnight saviour so there's no point in splashing the cash to make Tromsø sell immediately. He is young though and taking a bit of a gamble to sign him up on a 5 year contract would be good I think, meanwhile get some old timer in on a Bosman for a year to fill the void for now then teach him the ropes (Wilcox, Barmby should both be available). I saw the whole of the Norway Wales game and wished I hadn't. Norway played without much organisation or direction. MGP didn't stand out but at least he looked like he wanted to play a bit - most of the Norway team were going through the motions.
