I would still like a response to this, if possible @JBiz

I’m not sure what you’re suggesting, but if it is as above I’m going to need to see some evidence of it. BRFCS has strong relationships with BBC Lancs, LET and Lancs Live, so it’s important there isn’t any confusion.

From my points of view there’s a full team of people and moderators here striving to do and create the exact opposite of what you’re suggesting is happening. So whilst you’re absolutely welcome to an opinion, as is everyone, you’ll need to back it up.

Speaking of facts, on social media if I say Fleck has had two leg breaks and fitness issues, it’s… “burn the heretic!!!!” ”Support the lads!” “Writing him off before he’s kicked a ball!!!”

If being objective is hysterically jumped on, imagine if I stated my opinion that he probably won’t play very much for us.

After 13 years, people on here just don’t believe in fairies and unicorns. I prefer that. Sometimes there’s hysteria in the opposite direction but not like the Stepford Wives on Facebook and Twitter.

“He might not play” is not exactly a comparable message board comment, to something along the lines of “here comes mrs Desai to pocket the cash”

@Silas btw no idea what you mean about creating your own echo. If you think my issues with BRFCS are down to lack of being “agreed with”, then you simply aren’t reading.

Not true though is it. You appear to be the only person worked up at a difference in outlook. I saw a post of yours earlier and by and large agreed with a decent chunk of it. I just have a different take on some things, no problem.

In terms of a black hole. If you excuse the terminology,  I think by and large that refers to the significant losses every year. The fact that it is a financial black hole,  we need to continue to find money to fill it. Yes these are operating costs and need to be paid , so a reference to this would be,  Venkys can't send over money ergo any money we can raise goes to pay/service our losses, creditor's etc. Which I think we can all agree falls on the owners.

Regarding asset stripping that's a libellous term. However , I think objectively if you sell your training ground separating it from the club and then borrow against it with a third party , you have what appears to be a use of assets to ahem...service the black hole.

If you have an alternative perspective, please enlighten me , because on basic terms that is my view of how we are run.

Yes it is true. This website, under previous management, didn't have a “tone” set out through admin / moderators.

Now it does. When the owner of the site is suggesting that the BBC lancs football pundits, Andy Bayes, the LET and many others, are under some sort of paid agreement to toe the “Venky party line”…. That would’ve never happened before. Conspiratorial nonsense.

Also the very definition of the term Black Hole - what does it mean? A gap - an inexplicable one, in space and time.

@RoverCanada’s post should be required reading prior to anyone posting about funding, because every single penny the club has wasted in 13 years, is in text for all to see.

I can hold my hand up with everyone else when asked how pissed off I am at the way this set of charlatans run the club. That’s with actual facts, not made up bullshit that literally demeans the real issues involved.

Considering the club has in many respects been in consistent decline for the past 13 years, and has at best stagnated in other areas, I'm not really sure how the supposed 'extreme negativity' or pessimism of the wider forum is asynchronous with reality. I can understand wanting to take positives and if you'd rather focus on that then the bigger picture then sure, go for it, but I struggle to understand the need to have outbursts against a supposedly negative outlook that has ultimately been almost always proven right for over a decade.

You guys got what you wanted, an echo chamber and a place to vent.

The days of “the bigger picture” being on BRFCS are long gone in my opinion.

Also, can you point me to the evidence of asset stripping and a financial black hole where our money dissapears? For over a decade,  nobody has ever proven that, yet it’s all over every page

    What an arrogant condescending post.

We've just seen our most valuable asset eased out of the Club to keep the lights on until summer to be replaced  for three months by a rag tag bunch of assorted loanees.

We might just about have enough to survive this season but talk about kicking the can down the road - and for a very short distance.

Sorry you dont like the fact posters on here arent happy about that. What do you think we're going to do when that money money runs out, sell Szmodics? Then what? If you can get over your sense of superiority for 5 mins you might care to reflect on the fact that players of the ilk of Jones/ Duff/Wharton only come along every ten years or so and we've just been forced to sell for a relative pittance.

The Club is only headed in one direction currently, if you want to bury your head in the sand about that fine.

Will we be OK to call you all sorts of names along with being just as  "short sighted" as you think we are on here when we drop into League 1 and beyond?

Thing is rev, you’re a perfect example of why today will likely be the last time I sign in until the next window.

Have fun gesticulating and predicting, I’m sure there’s about 3 people here who enjoy it.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but I think this transfer window, and the current mood at the club draws pretty strong parallels to the Lambert era, obviously approaching the Coyle farce.

    That season we'd sold Cairney and Gestede, followed by Rhodes in the January window - total sum £20 - £25m.  We'd signed the following;

Doneil Henry https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/379_1464675286.png?lm=1464675287 West Ham loan transfer
Simeon Jackson https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/349.png?lm=1574162298 Barnsley FC free transfer
Danny Graham https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/289.png?lm=1485645633 Sunderland loan transfer
Elliott Ward https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/989.png?lm=1457991811 Bournemouth free transfer
Tony Watt https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/358.png?lm=1448178743 Charlton loan transfer
Hope Akpan https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1032.png?lm=1457723329 Reading free transfer
Tom Lawrence https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1003.png?lm=1472229265 Leicester loan transfer
Fodé Koita https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1162_1465134668.png?lm=1465134668 SM Caen free transfer
Nathan Delfouneso https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1181.png?lm=1407655321 Blackpool free transfer
Danny Guthrie https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1032.png?lm=1457723329 Reading free transfer
    Elliott Bennett https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/1123_1658217232.png?lm=1658217233 Norwich ?
Jordi Gómez https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/289.png?lm=1485645633 Sunderland loan transfer
Matt Grimes https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/2288_1658400144.png?lm=1658400145 Swansea loan transfer
Modou Barrow https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/wappen/tiny/2288_1658400144.png?lm=1658400145 Swansea loan transfer

     £0.00 spent.

This season, £25m brought in with Kami, Phillips and Wharton gone.  A chipping away, obvious decline of the squad with assets being flogged to stop the ship from sinking.  The only slight difference this time is that one of our prized assets (BBD) walked away for sweet FA.  They're being replaced by short-sighted, no strategy loans and freebie has-beens.

JDT, just like Lambert will be disillusioned, sold a cock and bull story that the club has serious aspirations.

No surprise when he jumps ship this summer and we're left scrabbling around looking for a manager who will take a chance on this complete circus.

Impressive how we managed to convince all those players to play for free and all the loaning clubs to let us borrow for nothing.

To frame it another way, those who spend a greater proportion of their free time discussing the club they care about that they can view it on a granular level and get into more of the minutiae,  which evidently concerns them due to their deep love for the long term stability of the club?

Not sure once it gets to that point it's worth pointing out the roses under the horse crap, which of course may appear negative.

All message boards are reactionary, considering what cards we have to play with as a fanbase this is very moderate compared to almost every other forum for any other club or in any other sport, I've seen.

What about those who would like to “view it on a granular level and get into more of the minutiae” but cannot be arsed sifting through the repetitive, factually incorrect and cathartic bellyaching?

This window reeks of expediency. The bare minimum simply to keep us ticking over. Will it be enough? Not wholly convinced TBH but a lot of players need to step up to the mark very quickly for safety to be assured.

The phrase “kick the can down the road” was used on here & that’s exactly what we’ve done. The Indian court situation is the lead weight round our ankles. Unless & until that is resolved we are ticking over…simply trying to maintain existence.

Relegation this time would consign us to the third tier for a while in my view.

Relegation at this point would also be JDT’s fault. Let’s not forget that the palpable poor mood, is partly down to 1 win in 10 in the league, and a “head coach” blaming all and sundry bar his inability to “coach” us into defending set pieces.

Who has had the number of these owners since 2010? Brfcs or the wider fanbase?

    Since Henry Winter doesn’t post here, or 95% of those who I talk to at football, and about football, don’t post here;

I would say that there is no special “knowledge” on BRFCS anymore. If you want the black and white answer; Wider fanbase and world

You can’t compare this place to anywhere else, because all of the most angry, most reactive, most short sighted, most regularly dismissive of others and arrogant, the most likely to be finger pointing and blaming other fans…

They’re already here! Moderates have been chased out in droves.

But they're using the money from an academy that jack built to pay off debts and bills. They're not using their own money

Good. I know some might find it hard to understand and perhaps I’m talking bollox, but the less money they’re putting in, the less we’re relying on them, the closer we are to never hearing about the clowns in Pune ever again.

You seem surprised at that Rev? Every other fee received has also disappeared in running costs!

You mean wages above revenue. A wage is still spending money on players.

Venkys have fuck all rights to the Wharton money.  It was jack walker who set the academy up. I'd rather spend it all on an upgrade for his headstone than give it to those cnuts

They’ve put nearly 10x the amount they bought the club for.

    I really hate this ownership, but it confuses me as to why people don’t just stick to “factual” reasons to berate them such as;

    1. Absence / ignorance of importance of quality leadership above the team and coaching staff

    2. Lack of a genuine long term plan communicated with fans

    3. Prices which contribute to a 1/2 empty ground every week

    4. Using non football experienced “directors” in shadows or as a go between, to stick oars in on family whims.

There are hundreds of these with evidence to rationalise too, but we’re never going to help our argument through making stuff up about taking money out, black holes or mythical running costs.

His family have two professional footballers, not just one. I reckon they're fine.

Way it’s presented to modern youth, whole point of football (unfortunately) is to setup yourself for life. It’s an opportunity to do that.

  14. I can unequivocally state, nobody has been pushed through any doors.

Life is short. He will signing a 4 year deal worth at least 5 million, and that sort of opportunity might seem easy to turn down for many here, but I’d argue IRL, 95% would fully understand - this is life changing for him and his family.

There are plenty of good points about his potential, thus his value could skyrocket. It’s still worth remembering he could snap his ACL at any point.

    Good luck Adam.

    Here’s where I stand.

22M guaranteed is a lot of money. It’s our record sale.

Adam’s the best player we will produce in a long, long time. But the squad needs investment, we have three or four key positions which need strengthening and we don’t have the funds to do that without selling Adam. Selling a homegrown player for 22M means there cannot be any argument with FFP for years to come. Venkys and Waggott, your excuse is now null and void.

This is the “model” which we have been told the club will run by. Buy cheap — or develop internally — and sell at the best point for the club.

So Gregg, here’s your chance. Your job is on the line. We need a goal scoring striker, a winger, a playmaker central midfielder and an experienced centre back. If you fail to get them, then you should be sacked for negligence. If the owners do not give you the money to do your job then you need to walk as it won’t get better than this.

Jon, this is your chance too. If you get the four first team players needed and the problems we’ve been having continue then you’re not up to the job either.

Adam, good luck and thank you for everything. I’m excited to watch you play in the Premier League, for England and one day finish your career back home.

The next 18 months are the most important in the clubs recent history.

    Absolutely spot on.

The part that I would add, this is a chance for us to break free from this bollox cycle of needing funds to cover a meagre amount of ambition.

The ball is most certainly at JDT and GBs feet.

'weak as piss' spot on !

We don’t even help ourselves either - I mean how many goals come from losing the ball in our own half, sometimes own final third?

The bloke is either stubborn or stupid. Surely a plan B, when we’ve a makeshift defence, would involve clearing your lines first if we’re deep in our own half being pressed.

Absolutely no chance of that. Opposition managers have figured out “if we give them the ball, they’ll more likely hurt themselves”

You can talk about coaching but these are supposedly professional footballers, that first goal isn’t being scored at Blackburn Combination level.

Nobody taking responsibility, nobody winning their own individual battle and nobody putting their body on the line. You could’ve said that about every goal other than the Asante bottom corner one.

JDT either doesn’t want too, or cannot seem to make us anything but “weak as piss”. I think it’s time for him to go.
