  1. There's so much said in that statement that they (whoever at Ewood has scrambled the statement together) haven't even realised. The court case "should" have no future impact on funding. That's not a 100% committal, it's very heavily caveated, IE those at Ewood who wrote it, don't have a fucking clue, this is how I see this going. Fans who have not spotted that "should" is a big caveat think all is well now. It gets to Summer and we've miraculously stayed up, we start selling the crown jewels, or what's left, call them the fallen diamonds - Szmodics, Carter, anyone with value basically. No money is re-invested however and people begin to question this. It can't be FFP, we've sold millions of £ of players, it can't be the Indian courts, the club told us this doesn't effect us now, so why aren't we spending? Questions get asked of Waggot - he gets uncomfortable. Outcome? The club releases another statement/interview saying (paraphrased) "Oh, it turned out that the owners sending funds was effected, but we never said it wasn't we said it shouldn't be!" In this scenario, I think/hope what's left of the passive fanbase will realise we're still owned by idiots and they'll never do what's right by us and sell There's also the use of "the Owners have always supported the club, which will continue as and when they are required to do so". You own the club, you've made all the decisions that have lead us to this point, of course you're fucking required to do so!
  2. With no end in sight, and seemingly this becoming a twice-yearly occasion, you have to begin asking what is the point for us (as fans)? We know unequivocally there will be no positive aspirations whilst the owners are prevented conveniently not allowed to invest in a promotion push, and as everyone knows if you stand still in this league you go backwards. We know the outcome before another ball is kicked, what is the point?
  3. AFC Wimbledon made a club homeless on the whim of Chelsea. They’re bigots of the worst kind, I’d rather not be anything like them.
  4. I believe we've had a bid rejected for Jamie Reid at Stevenage last night (info coming from their #ITK), and we're expected to make another bid...
  5. On the plus side, this entire fuck up has brought their ownership into the mainstream of American sports media. Any other yanks fancy buying a Championship side?
  6. In fairness, in that scenario DM hasn’t been treated badly, it’s been miscommunication in the media…
  7. Doing what they’ve done overnight is not a way to avoid attention. We’re disgraced on an international level if it’s all true. After O’Brien last year & now this, nobody will deal with the club.
  8. The amount of people I've seen blaming the fans has pissed me off. It's wilful ignorance at best and downright lies at worst. There's no way it's even remotely feasible for me that an average person cannot see who's truly to blame.
  9. As the display name suggests, I would've preferred this one away, but still delighted with it. I know a lot of Wrexham fans who think it's a great draw, but their forum has baffled me. Arguably one of the biggest names outside the PL Less than 2 hours away Enormous allocation In bad form so a real chance of winning I expected they'd see this how we saw the Leicester draw, with the added bonus of us being even worse, and it's a weekend game!
  10. On a positive note, Betway have us at 33/1 for relegation still. That means if you put £20 on, you'll receive enough (just) for a season ticket to watch League One Blackburn Rovers under Simple Steve's directorship. This is a disgusting decision and those who sanctioned it should be publicly outed and sacked.
  11. Well the law of averages would indicate there is some sadists in the fanbase, but there won't be many.
  12. Fingers crossed he's the guy who turns around and says "fuck this" and they sell up on advice from a person they trust. I can dream.
  13. This is exactly how I see it. And ultimately, the final nail in the coffin was at 2-0 down when we could’ve scored 4/5, so the result isn’t really on him. Better than the mistake that gets him being in a 0-0 or costing us a win 🤷🏼‍♂️
  14. I think they just can’t be arsed with sitting and working out a loyalty points system. It is easier to just go with an arbitrary decision, made at the last minute, because nobody is accountable to they club’s key stakeholder. Us, the fans.
  15. The only people I see actively wanting him back are from 3rd world back waters with next to no female rights laws. So I agree with you, I also cannot fathom how 3 men raised with western values, including ETH from one of the most liberal nations in the world, can basically say ‘yes that’s okay’. ETH does have previous, given his defence of Overmars being a pest & Quincy Promes stabbing someone. A part of me wants him to play, so that he can be ripped apart mentally from the stands & physically from the opposition, make him suffer like he made her suffer.
  16. The email states TV specifically is the reason
  17. Leeds at home has been moved to the Sunday for TV. I only know about this because the Blackburn 10K that was due to be on the 10th December has been brought forward a week because of the game being moved.
  18. It’s both. They don’t care enough to do market research, but a lot of it (I think) comes from the old belief that everything should see a year on year price increase. They’ll tell us costs have gone up but will politely ignore the fact that those costs shared by more people would reduce the cost per head.
  19. Have conversations around customer database with certain people from the club as part of my job, and speak to almost every other club in the country on the topic too. I can safely say Rovers are the least interested in actually doing anything with it. They just aren't arsed. Doesn't help that the head of marketing is a child.
  20. Best part of football bar none. Maybe European competition draws but I’m too young to have experienced that properly so couldn’t say.
