He talks about the Wharton money as if it is coming into the club in one lump and will be separate from everything else so can be divided into 4 different areas ?

To me he was actually saying it could be used One or two of 4 different ways i can't think he's that naive that he really thinks there is going to be a giant pot to be divided up. I think we all know that from previous sales and now the financial issues the Wharton instalments will be used soley for running costs barring maybe a million for a couple of Pickering style signings.

Then we'll be told it's re-invested in youth to develop.

Gregg knows this and imo is just covering himself so when that happens he can say well i made my recommendations to the board public and they chose to go a different way.

    Shrug of shoulders.

Didn't hear that. Are you sure? Installments both way; incomings and outgoings. Can't be used as an excuse.

    Financially I agree.

The problem being some of the stuff he's coming our with is obvious - on transfer deadline day dont be sat at St Andrews munching on prawn sandwiches when you should be finalising deals as the most senior person at the club. At least he's trying to make us more professional in those aspects, but Waggot would prefer his free lunch and do as little work as possible.

For the record I don't want Gregg gone. Waggott out.

To be fair he does mention that. He states that we pulled out of the original deal whilst he was still in America sat with his representatives, and that rumours of him being in the air when the deal got pulled are absolutely not true. He then came across as he had the opportunity to sign for another Championship club. It's in the Jackson interview.

What is telling in the Bayes interview is when the questions are slightly off what he expected how his answers aren't as pre-rehearsed. He trots the "up until the Watford game" out in every interview. As soon as Bayes calls it out that its over the last 46 games we have been relegation contenders, not just since Christmas, he doesn't have an answer other than to waffle.

Fair play to Andy Bayes. You often find Radio Lancs interviews with all of the local clubs will pull out the more difficult questions when things are not going well and it felt like that again. The Jackson interview and the academy interview were all pally, pally plain sailing. The Bayes one is a bit more awkward.

Overall I just dont think Broughton is very good at his job. I'm not even sure what his job covers any more as he's now making it very clear in all interviews that the manager will have the final say, on whether we sign Maguire or on past JDT recruitment. Therefore is all he do negotiate contracts with people.

He is shining the light a little bit for us though. He's sending out enough clear signs to say that the others at the club are incompetent and he knows what should happen to make the club successful but whether he is listened to, or that model of re-investment is followed, he cannot guarantee.

If he isn't listened to at all then I can't see much point in having him on the books. Just go back to the old model with SW and a yes man.

Mowbray had a Championship budget for 4 years and with the exception of Armstrong in his final summer wasn't compelled to sell anyone.

In the 18 months since he left we've sold pretty much everyone of value or experience and replaced with much cheaper / academy players and adopted a League One level budget.

He knew what was coming alright.

These are other factors that will get ignored and overlooked when they put us back in League One and the Mowbray acolytes are out in force telling everyone how great it was under Tony and what a fab job he did.

Problem under Mowbray's tenure was that when Covid came the club froze all contract renewals. We lost a lot of money and ground on that strategy. Fantastic effort by JDT last season but this season his already depleted squad was even further decimated - and it was a bit puzzling how well we played in the beginning of this season.

Well done Kyle. Never want to see him play for the club again after that. Cost us the game.

A point good in the circumstances. But 2 points from 3 relegation six pointers is terrible.

Still no win for the manager. Shocking.

It was a professional foul he had to make in the heat of the moment. But how are we playing with three CB's and still getting so many 1on1's against Wahlstedt? He must be a lot slower off his line than Pears, surely it wasn't just because we pressed higher today...?

This squad is so mediocre. The ten players who aren't Szmodics should all be forced to watch tape of Sammie's involvement over the course of the season. ARTE ET LABORE

Millwall fans gripes mirror these on here, Harris is too dour and negative, hope he's just here to keep us up then replace him, we show zero intent to attack a poor team, stop messing about with it at the back it cost a goal again last night...

    So on and so forth.

    Championship football in other words.

The didn't mess about other than in that instance. Other than that I would say spot on.

This is the football quite a few fans on here have been asking for though. Not sure why myself, although the mood would've been different if we got some more points with this style of football.

I'm surprised he's not being criticised for the goal - he was loafing back there. Didn't even try to get his foot in to block the shot.

Definitely was. He leapt in and left McFadzean exposed to a 1v1 situation against Obafemi. I think he's had a really poor season.

If we are to play the same formation, I would bring in Koumetio or O'Riordan (assuming he's quicker than our current CBs) to at least allow the team to play a few yards further up the pitch. Maybe, Chrisene, from the start too. However, the manager is so attached to his current back three, I suspect he'll keep it the same.

Need a can-opener. Buckley is quite predictable with his looping passes into the channels. I'd give Ayari a chance as he seems interested in getting amongst it in the final third at least. We were set up to avoid defeat but looking at our fixtures we need to have a crack at these poor teams. JDT would've had a fair crack at it at least...

That performance is on Eustace for me, tactics very confused at the end.

Won’t face many poorer sides than that Millwall team tonight.

Tronstad, Hedges and most importantly Pears need to be fit for Saturday. Huge game again and dare I say it…MUST WIN!

Someone mentioned Tronstad is out for four weeks. Hedges is no saint I'm afraid.

Looking forward to the post match interview with Eustace. Getting Kean vibes here...

Garbage. Still no win for the new manager. Has there ever been less of an impact from a new manager?

Really dour display and a game we never looked like winning. A point is not enough so it's an incredibly poor result..

    Kidd, Kean

You could argue they had a negative impact though.

The shackles of 'being able to play football' and 'trying to achieve anything' are well and truly off

We've been shit for a while mate. Not sure you've noticed. Difference is we have more players at the back defending.

Who do I blame all the injuries on?
