  1. A bit of karma for Wharton as well. He had a very nasty challenge on Vaulks when they scored their second, think he only avoided a card as it lead to a goal for them. When he got injured, it was a stonewall pen, if their attacker had gone down. And another yellow. He's been decent as of late, but over the last couple of seasons hasn't looked the part. Lower Championship calibre unfortunately.
  2. Inexcusable. BUT Hyam loves a wobbly pass to his teammates. Looks so disinterested sometimes and his whole demeanour looks off. Signed up for promotion hunting, and not up for a relegation scrap - our captain.
  3. I won't be sleeping well at night until we beat Coventry. Birmingham will be on better goal difference if they win at Hudds and we lose, and Plymouth need a draw to pass us. Sheffield Wednesday have hope now and can see them beating Sunderland away on the final day of the season to send us down.
  4. Low ratings all around, but I must've watched a different match to a lot on here. I thought JRC was atrocious, and when he wasn't lumping the ball forward he lost possession in a variety of ways. Tronstad unusual sloppy as well, and Brittain was so poor. Dolan and Gallagher really struggles in matches like this, where there's too much space between our lines, and we can't get enough bodies fast enough forward. I really hope we play four at the back again versus Coventry and find a place for Ayari in the team. Would give Pickering a rest too, tbh. Based on errors, Hyam and Pears should sit that match out as well, but can't see that happening.
  5. And the last bit? How anyone were, or are, taking survivial for granted is beyond me.
  6. If you give away the midfield like Eustace did in this match, then you start from the off with the wrong mentality in my eyes. Some shocking personal mistakes this season, would make some downlight reel if anyone put together a season lowlights.
  7. I hope they do come here with that extra weight on their backs. We owe them one from last season...
  8. Duff was around £17m, wasn't he? Losing Duff and Wharton hurt bad. Can't watch Palace games.
  9. 'Celebrating' 150 years in the League One would be so sad btw. Waggott and Venky's have to back Eustace now.
  10. I think I might have aged 10+ years after watching that game. So much at stake for both teams, and to be the first team to beat Leeds at Elland Road this season is some achievement. Leeds have looked leggy recently, but they had one extra day's rest and we made only one change from our battering at Bristol C. Unfortunate results around us but teams are fighting tooth and nails and there are about five or six good teams and the rest are, bar Rotherham, can beat anyone on any given day. The top three are feeling the pressure of facing the desperate teams like ourselves and all of a sudden dropping points all over the place. What a league! Sheff W was apparantly better than Stoke so they've improved a lot from earlier in the season, but I think we'll be confident going into that game, and will probably continue in the same shape and try and hit them on the break. It's a must-win for them so they must open up. Szmodics player of the match and player of the season. What a man! Top marks for everyone involved. I have to admit I thought Leeds would adjust and beat us in the second half.
  11. Eustace 'sort of' apologised in his post-match interview. Hyam is the one that should come out and say something, that was a shockingly poor performance, even by his low standards (judged on this season).
  12. Fair point. But last night Eustace tried to adjust tactically and only made matters worse. Makes me more than sceptical about the rest of the season.
  13. Three out of four of our defenders had one or more sloppy back passes. The fourth was subbed off at HT.
  14. You think we looked switched on prior to that? Hyam had two back passes that just barely made it to our GK before he cocked things up. We couldn't cope with the fast pitch, we're such a slow bunch.
  15. No options on the bench either. Wearing rubber thin. Park the bus at Elland Road and setup as well as we can for the Owls match at Ewood?
  16. Hyam has been shocking all season except for a short stint of games up until tonight. Not fit to wear the armband. How the hell is our most important player running around the pitch for the full 90 minutes? If Szmodics suffers an injury it's all over. Can't manage individual mistakes like the ones Hyam made tonight, but the changes at half-time was capitulation. Pretty crazy.
  17. Practice session for the Leeds game at this point. Think we've given up. Let down by Hyam. Again.
  18. Hmmmm... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24241946.eustace-hints-blackburn-rovers-change-injury-blow/ Three CBs then?
