We need something that will get the blood pumping and emotions flowing both on and off the pitch....seem to remember Sheff Wed coming out to the beginning of 'Waterfront' by Simple Minds...that always got me going when we went to Hillsborough. WE SHOULD HAVE A POLL AND THEN TAKE THE TOP THREE AND TRIAL 'EM WITH A CLAPOMETER GIVNG THE WINNER THE TOP SPOT. PS There used to be a special song written about Rovers when Howard Kendall was our player/manager that they played before the game...can anyone tell me what it was called...seem to remeber it being awful (even at the age of seven)

Strange........seem to recall seeing quite a few through the years...that's the danger of Top Flight football..where do we start... Shearer v. QPR (hit the ball so hard the TV camera couldn't keep up with his shot from just outside centre circle....but still made it to MOTD opening footage) Shearer's volley form behind on the run v. SOTON. Le Tissier's award winning 'Goal of the Season' for SOTON Paul Warhurst v. Man Utd. Not forgetting Mr. Short's against Bumley last time round. Must stop there as I'm sure others could add to this & doubtless this type of thread has been done to bits before....but if anyone would like to add to it the nostalgia won't do anyone any harm? But in summary....it was a good goal but we're more accustomed to seeing the odd good goal here and there, than our friends from down the road.
