  1. He also left Derby bottom of the league when they sacked him. Coco would be a typical Venky’s appointment - somebody they’ve heard of on Champ Manager 2001 at Barcelona. Maybe he can bring Frank de Boer in as his assistant too.
  2. Very nice kit. Would look fantastic without a sponsor so the kids will be happy.
  3. Delighted with this signing. More happy that Venkys have given Tony some cash to spend on an actual transfer fee. It must be a while since the club spent on a real fee.
  4. How the tables have turned. We’re discussing speculation after more speculation whilst the Dingles just dropped 15m on a Championship defender. Fwiw I hope McGinn is coming in and is better than some of the tripe we’ve purchased from the SPL in the past.
  5. Surely a VPN would get around it and you could watch each game from within the UK?
  6. Yes - I’ve paid on the gate at Portman Road before when I lived in Ipswich. Expect to potentially pay a couple of quid more though.
  7. It’ll fit fine. I’m only two inches bigger (that’s what she said!!!) than you and it isn’t long on me at all.
  8. Large fits me quite nicely (85kg 6ft2). I’d say the sleeve cuffs are well tapered to be snug around your bicep/tricep and it is of standard length. I think the exact measurements are on the club store website. Iirc the chest of a large is 41-43.
  9. The away strip must be getting revealed in the next week, especially with the new season coming up fast. I like the home shirt this season. It is the first one that I have purchased since I boycotted in 2013.
  10. His contributions to this community will be sorely missed. Thoughts are with his family. RIP Kelbo.
  11. Tony Evans of The Times is stating that he was found hanged. Awful news.
  12. Awful news, truly awful. Puts our troubles as a club in perspective. RIP Gary

IHTD The artist formely known as ihatethedingles. Username changed s as I have matured since I joined this messageboard back in 2003 (16) when Souness was getting close to taking us down to play Bumley. Former ST ticket holder in the BBE, been across Europe watching the Rovers meeting up with fellow members such as SAS in the Grasshopper in Amsterdam. Played at Ewood in May 2007 with Ricky & SAS, I am forever grateful to Ricky for affording me the opportunity to play at Ewood. That day will live forever in my memory. The pictures of that day are still on my cupboard at work. No longer a ST holder since I moved down to Ipswich to work as a Sports Science lecturer. Still try to get to games every now and then, was at the recent Norwich game as it is just up the road from here. Probably will not be getting to many games now as we have a 3 week old, had to settle for watching the Chelsea game on the laptop with the little man, shame his first Rovers game was a defeat. Don't manage to post as much as I used to, work and family are much more important than posting. Still find the time to read the boards on a daily basis (wonders of the iPhone).
  14. RIP What a waste of life, we go to football to have a good time and support the team, I think people need to work out what makes a good time for them. Surely people don't truly need to get wasted to have a good time? I know I've never needed to and I'm only a young lad (22), so why is it that society is going backwards so quickly from when I was there age? This may sound stupid but I blame a lot of this loutish behaviour on the media, films like green street, football factory, tv like the real football factories who glourify the darker days of football past. I never used to believe this could ever be the case but after two seperate discussions with two of the groups I teach at college a lot of them thought this sort of behaviour was fine bec ause of they thought it was cool. As I discovered later it was mainly down to it being made out to be cool by the media. I don't believe the media make it out to be cool but it does appeal to 'thick' adolescents! Anyway RIP-Thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones! Edit-sorry about the crap layout of the post, iPhone doesn't like this MB for some reason.
  15. I have not been to an away game since Wigan away last season and it is because of idiots like this. How is it that plenty of our fans believe that going to the football means that it's acceptable to get stupidly drunk, do drugs, abuse people (racist/physical abuse) and behave like an animal? I have seen this sort of behaviour on the trains from Bolton to Ewood on a regular basis by so called fans wearing our the colours of our club. I'm ashamed to be a Rover right now because of how pathetic some of the people representing our club (and I don't mean players/staff for a change). I hope this man pulls through and the @#/? who did it rots in HM finest for a long time!
  16. EBAY AUCTION 24 HOUR ONLY Item for sale should be listed as Bolton not Hull, not got round to changing that yet so if any of you want them and don't want to pay postage etc can arrange to pick them up. Would rather they went to a Rovers fan who could watch them as I don't have a VHS player (too old school )
  17. We have sod all money, i'd rather take a risk on this thug than line-up with no midfield next season. Its a huge gamble, but he can be a good player when he's got his head screwed on. Problem with that being he spends more time injured, suspended or gripping tightly to his soap on a rope in the prison showers to be of any use to us. I'd still take the risk though but only on a pay as you play deal or a contract that allows us to retake a large percentage of his wages already paid to him should he end up having to avoid Mr Big in one of our majesty's finest establishment. If BS can control him on and mainly off the pitch, we have to take him and raise our middle finger to the rest of the world, our reputation isn't going anywhere by signing him. Many of us have given a clean slate to EHD, and tbf he has done some really despicable things and been accused of some really bad things too so maybe we should do the same with Barton if he ends up here.
  18. I have spent the entire evening so far with my girlfriend completing the game, got every character unlocked including Seth who you have to win with every character to unlock, SFIV has got to be my favourite game out this year and is definately going to remain in my 360 drive for a long time to come. £30 for the fightpad seems worth it as it is going to be getting a lot of use over the coming months, especially from the gf, she won't put the pad down at the moment to let me play hence me typing on here I've read on another forum that they will introducing new fighters to download from previous series of the game in the coming months, i hope they include DeeJay, he were always a laugh to play as on the old games. On a different note, has anyone on here played any demo's of the new Silent Hill game that is due out on Friday? Is it worth waiting for the new Resident Evil or is SH going to be a better game?
  19. I bought a fightpad this morning from Game Xchange in Bolton, got the last pad they had left. Cost £29.99 but the game is at least enjoyable now and seen as i traded in games and had a gift card for GAME its not exactly been costly i suppose. Anyone unlocked Akuma or Gouki yet? I am going to play it until i unlock Akuma tonight, i love the Dark Hadou from the Manga films
  20. How much did the pad cost Kamy100 and what site did you order it from? I am going to have to get one as i just cannot enjoy the game at the moment. I completed the arcade mode earlier and it were a nightmare especially against Zangief (who was possibly the easiest to defeat on all previous SF's) as he'd just piledrive the hell out of you. Its hard when the best i can do with this current pad is the Hadouken with Ryu/Sakura/Ken but none of the special moves as the 360 pad doesn't seem to want to allow me to do so.
  21. I got Street Fighter 4 today for the 360 and i am about ready to throw the joypad out of the window, Where can i get one of those fight pads from ASAP and at what cost? I can only muster up a pretty poor hadouken (sp :S) with the 360 pad and am i getting really frustrated already. Why not sell the pads with the game even if it means at a greater cost, its made a game i've been looking forward to for months into a complete nightmare to play at the moment. I know the fightpads are unofficial products but they could still sell the damn things in GAME/Gamestation :@
  22. I really wonder how many people have got Waggy on ignore now, this Anti-BFS-Pro-Ince, constant posting on the matter by you in most threads is getting very tedious. I once thought you were a guy with interesting comments on the game, guess i were wrong. Ince went ages ago, did nothing of note during his tenure to make any of us with any grey matter want to stick up for him and has totally buggered the club. BFS has come in, got us more points in 270mins of football than Ince did in the last 3months. Give it a (Please Don't Use That Word Again) rest!!!
  23. Does anyone know why Euro 2008 isn't on the shelves yet? All the online stores say they have it in stock as it supposadly came out on Friday 18th April. Has it been delayed? I love the demo on the PS3, if it is a sign of whats to come with Fifa 09 it will be amazing.
  24. Hasta, what you have just said is too close to common sense, no one would ever impliment it. I know Capello has a resume as long as my arm of achievements as a manager, but when a team is chasing a game, it makes no sense having two holding midfielders sat there with no creative spark between them. Joe Cole IMO is one of our most creative players and is being wasted on the left wing. Now i know were don't have much in terms of left wingers to replace him with (see Downing's performance second half) but we need Cole playing behind the striker/s, failing that Gerrard isn't doing too bad playing behind Torres at Liverpool at the moment, try a similar system to that. As for Bentley, the lad didn't do too much wrong, but didn't do too much right either.
  25. Indeed StuWilky, it were very poor, sing a song about Burnley and the whole BBurn end will join in, sing Uncle Jack's name and only a few joined in. Half arsed is the only way to describe it.
