  1. Being interviewed by the accountant who now runs the club
  2. Not over yet. Particularly after today's clueless capitulation and virtually all the teams below picking up unexpected points.
  3. Both Rotherham and MK Dons winning. A bad day gets worse............................
  4. Another abysmal result and performance. I expect this will be longest thread in the next 4 months.
  5. After today's dismal surrender, a third successive game without a goal (and scarcely a clearcut chance), it is only realistic to restart this thread. Under PL there have been streaky wins against struggling Rotherham and 10-man Bristol City and in the last two matches wins for opponents (Reading and Bolton) who have forgotten what it is to win. Although other results were favourable today, there are plenty of other opportunities for the teams below to catch-up and overtake as there are visits to Rotherham and Charlton.
  6. Weightwatchers are urgently opening a branch at Upton Park. Large doors required to accomodate Big Mac and Mido.
  7. The Times is factually wrong - he is not the most productive scorer this season. 1 in the Prem, 3 in the Cups = total 4. But don't let the facts spoil a good story.
  8. Unfortunately the blunt "Axe" has 2 years not 1 year left on his contract. I'm surprised there has not been more comment (or indeed any) on this MB for allowing Scholes a free header - the player he was supposedly marking at the corner. It's not as if this this is the first time it's happened this season in the relatively few (thank God) appearances he has made. Ronaldo's header at OT was another but there have been others.
  9. Santa Cruz's injury is reported to be to his ankle after a "hard tackle" by Moekena.
  10. Moekana came as a centre back and quickly proved totally inept in that position. Then did well as the defensive shield in a 5 man midfield. But he can't paas, has poor ball control, can't run with the ball and gives away needless free kickc in dangerous positions. Under contract until 2010 so don't expect him to be out the door anytime soon. Won't be greatly missed when he is.
  11. Keeping McClaren in his job is essential otherwise the managerial merry-go-round spins again -particularly regarding O'Neill and Allardyce . And we all know what that could mean..........
  12. Third in the Top Ten of rumours on the "rumourmill" (Radio5 Live) that Souey is for the chop if he doesn't turn it round in the next month. Probably wrong as most of their rumours are. Certainly hope so because it would be madness and suicide.
