  1. According to the BBC, Neil may well be in line for a move to Liverpool. From what I can see of the squad, that would probably make Brett or Zurab our main options at Right Back. Brett certainly offers a lot going forward as a Right Back although I'm a little concerned about his defensive positional play. However, hopefully that will come quickly and sometimes attack is the best way of defence. I've never really been a big Neil fan, so this could be a good move all round for the club We desperately need a Left Back though. I suppose we have done ever since Le Saux left though!
  2. Stunned. I assume Wenger will be making the same gamble with Walcott in the Champions League final. In fact, he might even let him lace up Henry's boots.
  3. I've never seen a winger so effective as Ripley at hitting crosses into the first defender. Shearer made him look good, when Rippers did finally managed to get the ball in the box, Shearer inevitably scored. Other options Howard Gayle? David Thompson? But for me its got to be Douglas.
  4. On a similar note, does anyone know what's happened to Jay McEveley I know he featured against Blackpool on Monday, but apart from a few preseason games, that seems to be the only match he's been involved with this season? Is he still struggling with the knee injury from last year? Has he picked up a new knock on recovery or is he just struggling for form? Jay was seemed so promising when he first featured in the first team, but seemed to having difficulty regaining the same form last year, even before the injury. Also does anyone know who the two lads who are playing in Belgium are doing (Watt + Weaver)?
