  1. perhaps there is no other established left winger in the squad to challenge his position week in week out. when dunn or anyone else started instead of him, he's quite sure that he will be back on the starting lineup soon as these players whose natural positions are not left wingers would have played poorly. MH pls get a new left winger or bring up the youth players like Treacy or Peter if they are good enough at this level.
  2. (almost) everytime the club finished six, next season is usually crap... it's now EPL survival. FA or UEFA cups gotta be given much lower priorities surely.
  3. Aston Villa 1 Blackburn 2 unlikely rovers win
  4. Rovers will build on thursday's uefa cup win. Blackburn 2 Bolton 0 Totally unmarked MGP to score on a stunning first time volley from the left!
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF0Hmdc6avA Thanks to youtube!
  6. Can't see rovers losing this. Blackburn 3 Wigan 1. J. Roberts to score against his former club.
  7. Great win for rovers. 8 points from 6 games. Not too bad a start after all
  8. won't b surprised at 1-2 andy johnson is in good form n we r far from good form unfortunately.
  9. Just like last season, though we didn't score this time. PSV will really be holding out for $3 million after seeing our defensive cover falling so short.... Nelsen mus b thinking
  10. come on rovers, get a point at least n be better than this stage last season...
  11. Blackburn should at least target 7th chasing newcastle very closely at 6th, spurs 5th n the big 4 at the top. Relegaion contenders will be the 3 newly promoted clubs along with fulham, middlesbrough, wigan n man city.
  12. Certainly a cause for concern even though it's pre-season.
  13. Read somewhere that signing Jeffers is low risk. I thought that if he doesn't perform, then it's going to waste some wages. What's his wages like? Can't be less than 5-figure per week I suppose. If he somehow turns on the form to extent of 10 or more goals then credit will surely go to Hughes. The manager has proven to be so good at transfer market and rejuvenating players that his own minimum release clause will be triggered. Low risk? Maybe not so low.
  14. Glad to hear that from Steven reid... as to club going places... Depends on who hughes bring in with that £6.5m + whatever left Think spurs are simply wasting their time making ridiculous bids. £2m for reid??!!
  15. It's really an honour to be supporting blackburn, considering it's not really a BIG club. 6th place 63 points.... excellent stuff from the lads this season. If sparky can build from this, BIG club status is not far away.
  16. NO doubt he has played a part in the club's history, scoring goals, making assists, giving away possession... However, he had been given enough playing time to prove himself. UNfortunately at the present level, he doesn't have the cut to be a first team player and any offer to take him should be considered seriously... Hope he really had a great WC and attract strong interest from other clubs.
  17. dunn is past his best IMO. Don't think the club will want him back.
  18. yes... pennant will be a good signing... will surely improve the right winger position. but i expect stiff competition from other clubs as well... Heskey may also be on our target list should we can't sign any better striker(s).
  19. this thread could be renamed to battle of the 6th spot. =)
