  1. There are signed copies by the players who attended the evening on the publishers website
  2. One thing is that is obviously nonsence about vinjay's post is the comparison between our interest in burnley and man city's lack of interest in stockport and everton/liverpools's lack of interest in tranmere. Both Manchester and liverpool teams have another local premiership team to be their main rivals. We never have had a big local team to dislike, we only have Burnley. I dont care about what any other team does as long as burnley get beat. If vinjay does not get why we are interested in burnley then he is definately not a rovers fan.
  3. I can live with england playing badly, I can live with poor players playing for England. What I struggle with is the McLaren interview after the game when he said he thought after the first 15 minutes that we were controlling the game, and that the second goal was the deciding factor in the game. Nonsense I also struggle to have an afinity with an England team with players such as Ashley Cole, Ferdinand, Terry, Lampard and Crouch strolling round the pitch like they are world beaters. Whatever formation they play, the movement off the ball is really poor and the closing down of the opposition is poor also. Give me the rovers any day.
  4. As a long standing season ticket holder who thinks he gets great value from his s/t, can I congratulate rovers on reducing prices for the bolton game. Its great news, love to see a big crowd on
  5. On radio 5 on saturday, it commented on wigans poor following of less than 1,000 for the everton game. I would be surprised if it is a 1,000 for our game especially on a sunday. Could be 16,000 especially with salzburg just 3 days before. If I had to chose one, I would choose £15 for potentially exciting uefa game over £30 wigan game, not that I expect a huge crowd for the uefa game. I think rovers need to admit they have got it wrong and scrap cat a games with the exception of liverpool and Man U. Possibly Newcastle as well if they are doing well. As a season ticket holder who gets a really good deal, it would not bother me.
  6. Worst day in my footballing life. Full of gloating dingles on way back up M6 who had been to watch England at Wembley. 7+ hour journey on a double decker bus. My Dad listening ay home on the radio had to go the park for a walk rather than listen to the game. Pubs did not open saturday afternoon then. I too remember the bradford game, vivid memory of a very old rovers fan in a flat cap giving courtney the finger when he walked on along with ever other rovers fan. It was a great away end at bradford, could swing on the roof it was that low. I always have and always will have a hatred for palace and dave clarke five.
  7. I totally agree with four lane blue. Whats the sense in making the chelsea game top price when the man city game is cheaper. Man City will double chelsea's away following. I think the Chelsea game would have been attractive for walk on rovers fans at category b prices even though it is on tv (chance to see shevchenko and ballack for 1st time). No chance at £36. I agree it makes sense for man u, liverpool and everton. Not sure about anyone else unless it is boxing day or easter weekend.
  8. Depressing 2-0 win for Everton and another red card for rovers
  9. I think we have played a full country before, I remember I game in the early/mid eighties against northern ireland when they were a decent team. May have been a testimonial, and billy bingham was their manager and noel brotherston played. May have been just before 1986 world cup. Also vaguely remember score as 2-2 Anybody else remember
  10. Get rid, i moved out of the bburn end to get away from them. Only drummers I like are nutters like keith moon, and he died around 30 years ago.
  11. What I do not understand about the birmingham owners is that they wouldn't back Bruce in January and therefore only could get DJ Campbell and Sutton who both did nothing, yet they seem to be backing him now by giving him money to spend. He must be the luckiest manager in the country not to get sacked after his track record in the transfer market and on the pitch over the last season and a half. Bruce has been getting his excuses in eary, going on today about what a tough division it is, I cant think of a team in that division that will be anywhere good enough for the premiership (maybe WBA). Can even see Burnley finishing top half. Even though I think Brum will just scrap into the play offs this year, but I dont see them going up.
  12. Im really pleased with the signing, I think it starts to look really positive for the new season. Is there an issue though with the number of non-eu players that we are allowed to play at any one time. We have at least 6 now - briedel, neill, emerton, axe, benni, nelsen. Maybe another reason why Valencia may not be an option for us.
