  1. Basically we were 6/7 points clear when he took over, he's had as kind a run of winnable fixtures one could hope for, and yet we are now 1 point from safety. He needs to up his game and squeeze the max out of this feeble bunch pdq. I hope for all our sakes, and his, that he can do this.
  2. Personally I would love to see JDT and Broughton use the Wharton sale to make a stand and tell that useless lump Waggot to convey the following to Venkys: That if they don't get at least 50% of the proceeds to reinvest into the squad, that they will immediately resign. This will have several potential benefits; it would force Venkys hand to either honour the job description sold to jdt and Broughton / highlight to the average clueless fans exactly what the club has become / protect their joint reputations before they are further damaged by working under impossible conditions / bring the whole shambles to the fore once and for all.
  3. I'm pretty sure that if the consensus of the management/ coaching staff was that Wahlstedt was the better keeper at this stage he would be picked. It's obviously a bit concerning that he mustn't have yet demonstrated this in training, u23, and cup games. It was impossible to make a judgement at the Cardiff game as he simply didn't have enough to do. The only thing I would say is that he didn't give the aura of confidence and ownership of the penalty area that I was hoping for. Maybe they just think he isn't quite ready yet, in which case Pears needs to up his game and we need to give him support to build his confidence back up, and hope Wahlstedt is ready to step up sooner rather than later.
  4. The guy is an absolute disgrace and no one should underestimate how much he is, at best, holding our club back. He was so far out of his depth scratting around for a manager until Broughton arrived on the scene and bought JDT in. Hopefully he's made a crucial misjudgement here and even the most passive of supporters will not accept this red line being crossed. Name me one other instance where a club has closed its home end for a competitive fixture. If this is meekly accepted....... 'well its a one off'.........'its only a cup game'...etc etc, how much lower can we be dragged down? Why not just use the Leyland FC ground, or Leigh sports stadium like the Women or Under 21's for Carabo Cup games? I'm sure some would argue 'well it's only first round at home against league 2 opposition' This needs to stop here and now. I can't think of a more appropriate fixture for the crowd to turn on Waggott with the guy responsible for bringing him here in the first place in the opposition dugout.
  5. Hope this is ok with the Mods..... I just think the closure of the Blackburn End against Cardiff next week is such a red line being crossed that it merits its own thread. This week's home game against Sunderland is the last only real opportunity to make it clear to Waggott that it is totally not acceptable. What a kick in the teeth to JDT and the players this is aswell as all supporters. Whilst I don't sit in the Blackburn End, surely this cannot be accepted without a fight and I hope they verbally give him both barrels before, during and after the game. How on earth he can have even come up with the idea, let alone have the nerve to implement it is beyond belief. It shows the utter contempt he has for those supporters in the Blackburn End and how sure he is that they do not have it in them to even object. I sincerely this isn't accepted by anyone.......I do not know of the Home End being shut ever before in a competitive fixture and hope to god this is made crystal clear to him on Wednesday evening.
  6. I'd also like to say respect to SG for not letting the team down by using paternity leave to stay at home. Same to his wife who presumably encouraged him to get on the coach and show commitment to his teammates / manager and fans. Well done both.
  7. Out for last few games of the season apparently. Good job Adam Wharton is back on the scene and twice the player. If we play 3 in the middle wonder who the 3rd would be? Possibly Garrett, ot bring Brittain in at RB and move JRC into middle. I'd go with JRC option if we're playing 3 midfielders on Tuesday.
  8. I was watching your mate Buckley very closely last night and lost count of the number of times he could have made a subtle movement to create a pass for the defender, and for whatever reason didn't bother. I'm hoping that after his improved 2nd half showing he'll be more willing and confident to make himself available. Our defenders need more options, unless you're saying Buckley and Travis were making all the right angles but being ignored..........must have missed that.
  9. Agree with this 100%, but there is often not a forward pass option available due to lack of movement in midfield. This causes the defenders to keep passing sideways which then leads to the groans etc. The biggest thing that would help us get forward quicker though would be Buckley / Travis / any of midfield being constantly on the move to create the angles for a quick pass into midfield. There were numerous times this could and should have happened last night. This is also where Smodics movement helped a bit, and where Adam Wharton could contribute massively when he next gets a chance...........he needs to make sure he takes it.
  10. How on earth Morton has retained his place is beyond me. I don't care what agreement is in place with Liverpool, Rovers as a team must come first. His impact on games is pitiful in terms of assists and goals. Though he's great at our current MO of pointless passing. To make it worse our best prospect for years can't even get in the squad. Not happy at all. Having said that I hope to be proven totally wrong.
  11. I'd say 1 win in 17 or whatever it was is pretty awful tbf. Anyway as you say the main thing is we've thankfully moved on now. I'll just be glad when his mate Waggott follows him out the door.
  12. With Mowbray as manager it doesn't matter who we bought in we would not have made the play offs. That's actually comforting to know in a way. He's just a rank awful manager and thank god we've moved on.
  13. Wonder how Burnley managed to shift so many having just tumbled out of the Premier league then. The main driver to season ticket sales isn't when you were last in the top tier......its about getting the pricing right. Not difficult.......though it is to Waggott.
  14. Somebody needs to send this to Waggott........along with his p45
  15. I see it as a positive that Waggot isn't keen on him. Most likely because he's shown some desire, character and hunger in the interview process. This wouldn't sit well with the absolute incompetent no hopers running the show who just want an easy life at the clubs expense. I suspect Ainsworth would come in and want to shake things up and rock the boat a bit. Get him in Waggot you clown.
  16. Hope you're right Glen and that it is Waggott next out the door. He is a complete liability and should never have been anywhere near the club.
  17. Apart from Mowbray singlehandedly wrecking our promotion hopes, I am also dismayed at the players. Why on earth did Brereton try to con the ref with a pathetic attempt to win a free kick. The ref rightly ignored it it and it led directly to their equaliser. You'd have thought they would have learnt from their embarrassing efforts which led to 9 minutes injury time at Coventry. Just play the game and concentrate on the basics.
  18. Monday is yhe time to let Mowbray and Waggot know we want them out of our club. If we turn up like a load of sheep we will get what we deserve and he will sign another contract. Make it clear we've had enough..........please no more 'Tony Mowbrays blue and white army' etc....embarrassing
  19. If we somehow get a point from this, please don't anybody say its a good point under the circumstances. That the same sort of loser mentality that Mowbray, Waggot etc have instilled throughout the club.
  20. Teams and managers that have anything about them do not throw the towel in in these circumstances. Dig deep, all give an extra 10%, which won't be difficult in our case and show some bottle. It's been done many times before so go and do it you bottle merchants. Don't hide behind this Mowbray...........then resign asap.

  22. This is looking like another passive performance with Peterborough having the best of it so far. Slow, lethargic, no intensity. What on earth does Mowbray the motivator say to them. Edun just sent off....at least Mowbray will have an excuse now
  23. Luckily he was very poor, otherwise we'd have been down to 10 men in the first half and then without our current best player, Van Hecke for a couple of games
  24. How many more points are going to dropped, and halves wasted due to the incompetent team set up and player selections from Mowbray? He is a complete liability the players only showed any belief at all once his errors had been partly rectified half time. What on earth was he thinking of with that first half selection. Rankin Costello in particular was pitiful
