  1. QPRs fixtures are PNE and Leeds at home, Cov away last match.
  2. Hyam was excellent for the first 3/4 months but has never been anywhere near that level since his injury at Rotherham. It recurred earlier this season and he's been pants since returning. Don't know if the downturn is physical or psychological but he's certainly become a liability and has to be moved on in the summer.
  3. Pears got away with several ill judged rushes out of his area and was all at sea with the in swinging corners. He's never far away from a calamitous error. But he's still better than Walstedt.....
  4. To be fair the squad is mostly crap for this level. It's impossible to polish turds. Having a 16 year old as the backup striker on the bench says it all when Bristol can bring on as subs 3 experienced proven strikers all better than any of ours. Venkys have presided over a decimation of the squad and the last three transfer windows have been pitiful.
  5. Looked like he was on drugs when he played at Rovers.
  6. It was a performance that absolutely STANK. Right to the very end he was intent on giving them opportunities from nothing. Carter or even O'Riordan should take his place for the remainder of the season. And tell hias agent he needs to find another club this summer.
  7. Hyam's performance was even worse than Shane Duffy's sabotage effort in his final appearance. Hyam looked like he was playing under the influence of sleeping tablets.
  8. Utterly ridiculous that Wharton was the defender taken off at half time unless it was injury related. Not the quickest but still way faster than the blundering Mcfadzean.
  9. Carter absolutely has to take his place in the remaining matches.
  10. Hyam is utter shite. Should never play for the club again. Mcfadzean is a L2 standard defender. Dolan can't control the ball and has no game sense. Pickering is abysmally slow. Markanday totally out of his depth in this league. The squad is mostly L1 standard which is where the club will be next season.
  11. Presumably that's why there's been nothing in the LT about the recent injuries to Buckley and Sigurdsson? A so-called newspaper that takes a week off on the subject that most people follow in the paper. Shows what a joke local journalism has become.
  12. Reading have just sold their training ground to Wycombe Wanderers.
  13. The EFL are notoriously slow in investigating the wheezes that were used to circumvent FFP. It was several years before the EFL held Sheff Wed and Derby to account for selling their stadiums to a related company at an overvaluation. Wouldn't be surprised if this issue raises its ugly head over Brockhall and a points deduction is applied. 20 acres of land that doesn't have residential planning permission and isn't in a "local plan" is not worth the £17m transfer price.
  14. No, the purchaser amortises the expenditure over the length of the contract. The vendors profit is taken in the year of sale and is calculated as the difference between the entire proceeds and the written down cost of the amortised asset. In the case of Wharton that's a £18m profit in this seasons accounts.
  15. Transfer fees are accounted for based on the total fee payable - in this case c£18m - and the unpaid balance is in debtors on the balance sheet so a loss in this accounting period is inconceivable. The operating loss before transfer income should be no more than £15m. If it is questions need to be asked about some of the non-wage items in the accounts. Particularly what are Venkys taking out as management charges?
  16. Back injury which is ominous for a player of his age and physique.
  17. Dismissal would cost at least £500k for Eustace and Waggott so definitely won't happen.
  18. How in God's name can they not make a significant ie £10m+ profit this season having sold Wharton for £18m and summer sales of £5m?? Anything less than that makes me think there's some nefarious dealings going on.
  19. Mcfadzean has been relegated 3 times from the Championship. Shortly to make it 4.
  20. An earlier post indicated he has concussion although that didn't seem to occur in the Swansea match. I'm finding Eustace economical with the truth when it comes to injuries. Always plays them down and then later lands a bombshell.
  21. Millwall were terrible and had no ambition. If we can't beat that - and created next to nothing - then I just don't see where another 10 points are coming from
  22. Their goal will come from a set piece. Defending was atrocious from the one corner they've had so far. Went right across the 6 yard box , fortunately no attacker got on the end of it. Won't get away with that very often.
  23. Sky red button commentary is as drab as the match .
