  1. answering the original question, no hate him. i know we are doing well, but i believe he is going to up sticks soon as he gets a chance, and he will never be forgiven for sacking Tony P. Sorry, just how i feel, i dont believe he has rovers at heart. at all. Rich
  2. Lol - your kidding right? i remmeber the day that came out, and its as bad now as it was then jeesh my point being tho, you cant go having mega head banging tunes, cause lets face it, its taken old aunty annis with uncle bob munching there pies 10 years to get used to the final countdown, people suggesting slayer is gonna give them a heart attack. just trying to find something middle of the road. Rich
  3. hehe, ok ok , ill take that on the chin, and get back under my rock...
  4. If i was gonna choose a tune, id probably go with "the best of you" by the foo fighters. its kinda apt, and not cheesey, its also not a mega head bangers tune so i expect not to offensive to contingent that diffinatly would not like the bouncy fun of the chem brothers Rich.
  5. I've read the quotes and have to say i was not very impressed at all. Then i watched his bbc interview, and i have to say it seemed to come across a different way. In fact he even went so far as to say that if we continued to play like that at ewood we coudl challange for a place in the uefa. so really i am not so sure, he also said that at that time he likes to be with his players and of course when he saw mark hughes when leaving ewood he would shake his hand. I really cant decide if i like him or not, i mean he manages chelsea, obviously he is gonna give more of a d*m about his own players than ours, and like all good managers he protects his own, you only have to look at sparky trying to tell the press that we are not a dirty side to realise how far managers bend the truth to suit there own teams. lets face it, under sparky we have started to play in what jose' described as with a "Special Attitude". you could see after the game on the bbc interview that whilst he didnt like that special way on his players, he respecited the tanacity. hence the respect he showed us about where we could eventually end up (euro place) if we played as well as that fom now till the end. I also liked his attitude as the injury of roben, he just said, "its football, i cant cry about it, we just have to get on with it" (words to that effect). some times i reckon he speaks without thinking , but hey most loveable charicters do. i think i like him... i know it dont fit with my blue and white tinted glasses, but hey, least he is honest and shows respect when its due. Rich.
  6. Alan Shearer played for Blackburn Rovers an Newcastle, upuntill a few years ago newcastle where hardly the superclub where there? And i think you will find he is one of the best english players to ever grace a number 9 shirt. Right now, Newcastle are only big in the area they come from. Don't really see your point mate. Some times Dunny is down right fantastic. Unfortunatly, thus far in his career he has not had the application or luck to display it consistantly. Rich.
  7. Wasn't you perchance ? With out wanting to stir to much Jim, the rest of your comments are fine - but please, act your age. Just uncalled for. Moving on, very sad to see some idiots bringing our club down. i hope they get exactly what they deserve, if it turns out to be truthful. Rich.
  8. Yes Jim, forgot being young was a crime. Hendry all the way for me, being part of the pimple-faced oik crew. Rich.
  9. Last night was not bad performance over all, but i am still worried about a few things.... 1. Fergie, this guy better show that he can perform against prem quality oposition, 'cause for me, he just hasnt cut it. past exploits at rangers mean nothing to me. 2. grey. i know they guy can defend. i know the majority of the messageboard like him. but when ever he gets the ball - 90% of the time he just hoofs it. you can tell he played for peter reid. if you look at all rovers long balls last night, i'd put money on over 50% of them comming from micky grey. this has to stop. its not like matt wasnt supporting him last night. 3. stead so low on confidence its untrue, his control suffering cause of this, badly needs a goal, and in my opinion, and partner who can lookup. dont get me wrong i love dicko's endevoiur and running, but he just doesnt look to forge a partnership. thats one thing i think matty and gally excel at. On the upside. Is it only me that thought Amo was good last night? i really do think he had a good game, lisbey only exposed him once, and i dont really think that was his fault. it was more the whole defnese failed to deal with the situation. he seemed over all very commanding. his distrobution by and large is excellent very few hoofs out of defense from amo. again emerton was showing progress and proved once again he is our most creative midfield player. excuse the english, busy at work but wanted to gas about last night Rich.
  10. I think by and large his record at liverpool was good, in fact i'd give my left arm to have the same record at ewood. The money he wasted, well, i've got no come back on that one, true he did by some big lumps. As for his overall parnoid personallity, i am not sure where i stand on that, you always heard his talk about "his boys" and the team, i think he really did forge a strong ethic at liverpool of everyone fighting for each other. I respected that. as for paraniod... well, maybe, but to behonest i dont recall him ever gassing on about "lady luck". and if i ever hear about this lady again, it will be to soon. heh by the way anyone got a doctors phone number? Rich
  11. I'll start putting my coat on now, cause i know you're all going to think i am mad, but i really do want houllier. Reasons? Well, Lets look at whos around for the job shall we?... 1. Venables, no thanks - he might be a good coach, but i really dont think he is motivated by football anymore, its money with el tel, and i bascially dont trust him. 2. The scotish midget (Gordon Strachen), Again, i dont trust him, i dont think he is as good as some say, and i expect he is holding out for berti vogts's job anyhow. 3. The unprovens. People like mike newell and mark hughes, could be a decent choice, they could be the next big thing... But personally i am not willing to gamble the fate of rovers premiership status on someone who "might" make it. Houllier failed at liverpool , that is the main reason that most people are saying "please not him". But look at what consituted failure to liverpool... not winning the league, lets face it, i dont expect blackburn to be in the running for the league for a very long time (if ever again in my life time), but look at what houlier did get at liverpool, a LOAD of cups, and some trips in to europe... I dont want us to gamble our premiship status, ever.. as souey once said, going back down would be a disaster for this club. houllier IMO is a safe bet, he would keep us up, make us a solid team, and would at least give us i expect a few runs in the cups. I think he is the safe choice, sorry for being my safe, but you know, i like watching rovers in the top flight. just as a side note, houllier does give youth a chance. i've got my coat, i'll leave now, before that brick that abbey is holding hits me in the face... heh. Rich. (AKA Richy)..
  12. I actaully have a whole heap of respect for andy cole, arguably our best player last year ( second half of season) - I think it was rev who said, "now we will get the full story" (or words to that effect) when andrew left. I had a sneeking suspicion that we wouldnt, and that has turned out to be the case... Coley appears to be above getting in to a slanging match, the *Man* just wants to get on with his football... Cole won't argue with Souy People can say what they want, i know he was on a lot of money, but i certainly dont put andy cole in the mercenry bracket of footballers, he appears to actaully care about the game, and playing it. Rich.
