    Brum fans not happy tonight..

Not having a go in must win home game, don't lose instead of try and win mentality backfiring, players have downed tools in managers absence they can't be arsed, wish we still had Eustace at least they tried for him !

Strange division this full of strange players.

I know, one division from the bright lights.and one division from relative obscurity.

I must say and I do not blame Eustace for this at all.  Of all the teams I have seen in this league this season we look divison 3 material more than anyone I have watched.  We don't even look threatening upfront and Inthought we had done away with short corners, laye on needing a winner we go short again.  No gonads, any of em except that fella that got sent off.

  2. As far as I am concerned they can have him.  Seen nothing to get my hopes up yet with the exception of the Cup game against Newcastle.  That I think was more to doneith the players themselves upping their effort.  Eustace gets some credit, if he could have us playing that well I'd say he's a good un.  Post or several back I mentioned that, after the geordie game, Waggott would not be liking the stellar performance, that he did not bring JE for anything other than mediocrity.  They seem to have had a sit down and JE is now on board.  All tongue in cheek before is get slaughtered by Chaddy.

  3. What bothers me most and is why we will go down, this team seems to have little heart, no fight no siege mentality.

They just do not look up for a relegation scrap.  We look toothless up front, tighter at the back but still prone to howlers.  We look more like relegation fodder than any other team I have seen this season.

I just do not see how Chaddy can be so confident we stay up, love him to be right but I do not see it.

Walking out of Ewood last night trying to work out exactly what it is that Eustace has done to this side, I know it's small steps currently and we're not exactly pulling up trees in the league yet. It's hard to discuss subjectively as there's a lot of last night that was down to it being a free hit in front of the TV cameras, being "up for the cup" - but it was almost unbelievable that was the same side who toiled against Big Club and Cardiff.

As well as getting us organised at the back, more compact, the arrival of Fadz, Eustace has to have done something to give them a bit of belief, whether it's man management, confidence or just taking the shackles off, maybe it's the simple stuff of stopping them being so wedded to a style of play and seeing no other way of coping with games.

He seems more active on the touchline, constantly cajoling the lads. Hard to tell from the Riverside, but every time I looked across it felt like he was almost telling Siggy how to cover and track back the entire second half.

We're also tackling hard and fair, even picking up more yellows for "proper" tackles, professional fouls - not stupid petulant frustrated stuff.

When I saw Tronstadt was out I was pretty worried about our midfield, the last 6 months under JDT have done that, but I think by taking the pressure off us trying to play like Man City, there's less expectation on our midfield to constantly take the ball on the half turn and deliver a killer pass, it reduces the chances of mistakes. Last night we were just hungrier to win the second ball higher up the pitch, pick it up, then play our quick passing game to hurt teams, rather than trying to do it in our own third as we have been under the previous regime.

Judging by comments in the press recently from Pears, words to the effect of "I'll do whatever the manager tells me to do", and Brittain "I was told not to cross it" it seems that it's easy for the modern player's head to drop and down tools if whatever the manager is doing isn't working - maybe they're being told to play to their strengths and the rest will follow? Being less rigid in terms of a game plan is helping.

We've now come from behind two games in a row, this has to be the biggest evidence of something going on in the belief of the squad. Every time we made subs under JDT, the quality dropped, and last night I had that familiar feeling that the game was done, but we got better, same as with the Norwich game. Due to the cost-cutting of the squad, I'd forgotten that part of the game, bringing on subs to improve the side, who'd have thought that was an actual thing?!!

I take massive pleasure in us doing "normal" football things, 2 banks of four, being organised, clearing the ball under pressure, it's weird to see it, I've almost forgotten what it feels like.

Anyway, this is all irrelevant if we put in a poor performance against Swansea, and it's totally possible, but there's green shoots for sure. They seem to be fighting for each other and the shirt, talking and shouting at each other on the pitch, getting stuck in.

I am expecting a let down in iur next game, that was a herculian effort last night.  Sign of progress what, is Wags gonna do?  What if the patsy brought in oroves to be successful,? how will he derail it.  Well done Mt Eustace.

  5. Proud of the lads last night.  I hope this is a sign if things to come under Eustace.  Ref was totally useless   If a ref can not see the most obvious handball in open plan in the middle if the pitch he has no business being a ref.  Perfect tackles when I was a lad are now fouls and even yellow cards.  Bad very bad. Even if the ball is won cleanly if the player falls over its a foul.  Killing the game.

I was giving Eustace oelters at the TV, Barcodes bring on im.ense talent Almiron(so) and Harvey Barnes and we counter that by removing our better players on the night.  Shortly after they score.  I thought that was game iver but we actually had a plan B and even a C.  Well done everyone who pulled on the famius shirt last night.  Now we just need to take that form jnto the league

Fancy passing out the back is great if you have defenders and a goalie like Liverpool or Man City do, but we don't have players half as good. Keep it basic and solid, and get the midfield and forwards to do the fancy stuff.

I was shocked as the first time Prars got the ball he booted it long I was like whuuut?  Have not seen that in forever   Worked to perfection for the goal, lil nod on and Dolan on to it like a flash and a very good finish.

    @Craigman based on this.

But yet the main villain Waggitt stays unscathed.  I sort of have an opinion that Waggott went for JDT.  My take is he did not take kindly to his, humour intended, comments about the coach and all.  After that he seemed to out up any riad block he could   Messed with the fans cos he knew JDT cared about the fans.  He really us not fit tonrun a newspaper shop let alone a fiotball club   Another one only caring about sekf preservation.  Get rid FFS and get some proper footy folks in
