  1. Did a good job in league one, albeit with by far the biggest budget. In the championship though, yes he stabilised us, which was completely fine, but then he completely failed after that, consistently allowing the team to fall apart second half of the season, did the same at boro and Coventry.

his negativity at times was so demoralising too, don’t miss him, but don’t dislike him, hope he does okay. However his team selections, and seemingly unwillingness to spend money despite venkys making it available was baffling and I certainly won’t forget his dig at the fans for calling him and his team out.

    What's your issue with Neophox?

That's twice now with a belittling reply

No issue, just talking nonsense, go on then, do you agree that Hirst is Khadras replacement? I’m also not the only one to comment on the replacement comment. It’s like saying Gallagher is dolans replacement, doesn’t make any sense.

Also makes out as though he/she is in the know, when clearly not.

They are a fourth division outfit, their fans will be used to watching *proper* shite teams week in week out.

We are used to seeing, and so know, good second tier sides, so of course our standards are different.

When somebody says ‘we were terrible today’ it’s in the context of the division we are playing in, not that we are so terrible we couldn’t go and stylishly beat Bradford, Hartlepool et al.

Very true, although, if they’d have played us over the last 5 years under Mowbray in a cup game, they’d have probably been taking the piss out of us.

    Thats shocking

Quite simple it needs a season of low budget season tickets, real enticement to get fans back, it’s the only thing that will work, Ive not had a season ticket since we got relegated and won’t get another as I now don’t miss it and do others things, however if they came up with a great marketing campaign and offered (just for one season) some of the cheapest tickets in the league, I would probably give it a go, and take my daughter for the first time, but at those prices and up and down form and recruitment, I can’t be bothered. A one of season of real cheap tickets, would entice people back and of then would then get another the season after as they would get the buzz back of going to Ewood again.

How can you compare if you haven't done the same role/job? You can only inform a biased opinion in that case. Your experience in the world? So what you are saying is that if you ran a corner shop as a manager/owner then you can compare that business model to running a football club?

If you don't listen to what he has to say and look at documents/review action plans, rad summaries of sports science at the club then how do you form an opinion? Truth is you cannot form an opinion without it as it is not a properly informed view.

Its not about anything he says verbatim, its about your research and information being up to date and then listening to what he says and either agreeing with him because you know it true from other sources, or alternatively, you go away with what he has said do some more research and find corroborating sources to ensure that he is telling it right and how it is or alternatively telling and feeding you a load of horse crap.

But hey, with your vast worldly experience you probably know better to listen to others you have already formed a completely negative view of.

How can you form an opinion on other peoples opinions if you’ve never been employed as an opinion(ist)?

in my opinion, that makes your opinion unopinion(less) because you’ve never been employed as an opinion(ist) and therefore people should not listen to your opinions on their opinions.

sounds stupid doesn’t it? That’s how you’re coming across.

  6. I was just told on Saturday by a chap who’s very involved with the academy side of things at the club, doesn’t work at the club, but attends every game and knows people who are involved in the set up and he’s been told it’s being downgraded to cat2, as cat2 means the club don’t have to spend the same level of money but can still play similar level opposition.

The really good news is that there were only 170 tickets left as of 9 am today out of an allocation of 2000. Once again the travelling fan's are doing their bit. The big question is will the team and Mowbray. I was impressed with Coventry at Ewood when they came back from two down to draw and were denied, in my opinion a nailed on penalty.

There are far to many variables from our perspective to call this but as ever I'll take the scabbiest of scabby 1-0 wins.

I got mine today and they said there was quite a few left, so presume the initial 2000 has sold out and they have asked for more, so if they shift a few more tomorrow and a few walk ons we could have around 2300 there.

Rovers won inspite of Mowbray not because of him. First half Derby could have been 3-0 up so his changes at half time weren't revolutionary. He brought on 2 obvious players the only players that could have made a difference.  He made the mess in the first half so he doesn't deserve any credit fixing his own problems.

Exactly, surely Johnson’s own social media post replying to a fan saying it was a nightmare, speaks volumes.
